Now this is cycling at its finest! Endurance + Steady Pace + Calmness + Overcoming Fears in Climbing + Rewarding of Beautiful and Epic Views! Thanks GCN for this beautiful compilation!
When ever I watch Si doing a challenging event for himself I find his candid and articulate descriptio of the event so interesting but most importantly his ability to express how ost of us cyclist have felt during a hard event. We'll done Si!
One of these videos one should watch once a year to remind us that this is possible. Thanks a lot @GCN. So many heavenly views.. So healing and teasing to get on a bike for an epic ride!!
"Share it with your friends... if you've got any" and "I think this is the perfect opportunity to pull out my big book of cycling excuses" are the most Ollie things to say
Whenever you’re on your bike and you think it’s hard and you can’t go on, think of Ollie’s Tour des Stations Ultimate 1000, and don’t you dare give up.
Hank’s Lands End ride was a great watch. But I’d say my “favorite epic film moment” was Jenny Graham during her Hebrides film missing a ferry which allowed her time with a local fisherman.
I really enjoyed this compilation. Brought back great memories of GCN and GCN+ releases. Is there a reason why there is no Jenny Graham represented in an Epic Road Ride Moment compilation? She completed an epic UNSUPPORTED around the world record (I'm reading her book now) and was a GCN+ film presenter, including my favorite film, Hebrides. Whatever the reason, I hope you continue to search the vaults of GCN films and videos to make future compilations. Thank you!
I started cycling last January with the GCN 30 in 30 and continued on to much longer rides, audaxing etc. I lost 20kg in 4 months, I was eating more healthy but not rediculous.
Fantastic compilation. Put the trainer road session I was doing while I watched in perspective. 🤣 Was really surprised to see Ollie do the 1000km on the Trigon. I spend part of each year in Taiwan and am considering an AR01 to keep there (tired of bringing my bike back and forth). However, the AR01 geometry is really aggressive. In my size its stack height is 10mm shorter than an SL8 and 8mm shorter than a TCR. I’m not sure I have seen a bike on geometrygeeks that is more aggressive. I noticed Ollie added some spacers to the stem and I know that he’s much younger and fitter than I am, but did an endurance frame, or at least a less aggressive frame geometry, ever come into the discussion? Might have helped with that day three dead neck.
What was your favourite epic road ride moment? Would you do it yourself?
Turbo season is approaching. We need more +2h videos! 😀
Thank you! What other topics would you like to see in long-format videos?
@@gcni would like some behind the scenes content
Definitely loved watching this while on the Turbo. Makes time go faster at least lol
Urgh. Get out and ride
@@gcn the most iconic climbs would be a fantastic compilation.

I’d love to see Ollie take on Unbound Gravel
I wanna ride with Hank and Oli so bad
I’ve done it on a motorbike and that was tiring enough! Couldn’t imagine cycling it
Great rides, aspirational!
It’s a shame the GCN kit is so expensive otherwise I would have bought some to look the part on my bike

This is what GCN is good at. Ways better than the crap you tortured us lately with.
Crazy how you do all these events that involve nighttime riding, on dark bikes and black clothing. Great efforts though.
