Disabled Veteran. Got out in 2009. Was an addict sleeping on the streets. I have 14 months sober. I barely get $1000 a month for my disability. Yet all these immigrants get everythjng for free. I'm all for immigrants. Legal immigrants that contribute to society. Even being physically and mentally broken I still try to do stuff to stay productive. Thankfully they recently passed a bipartisan bill to expadite the time to get disability claims and exams done. Great reaction. And thanks for your support.

I am a veteran who has served two deployments and was homeless for over a year. At the time I was more heartbroken than angry. I could not understand why it was so hard for me to get the help that I truly needed.
I did 21 years active duty as a combat medic, I retired in December 2018 and have worked at the local Veterans Affairs Hospital homeless drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility ❤. Sometimes I feel like I should be a patient instead 😂❤ but we gotta stick together

You know this old vet is going to be here for this. Why is this hits hard for me. I was homeless and now hardly exists under a VA program for homeless vets. I fight my TBI and PTSD daily and wake most mornings thinking shit still here. So yeah this song hits me. All I can say is God has me.
Any veteran that put their life on the should have a free ride for the rest of any medical housing food should be all expense paid 🇺🇲🤘

Family fought in WWI, father fought in WWII and Korea and I spent time elsewhere (Ancient Vet). Not a day goes by that I do not think it would be simpler to just remove myself but I made a promise to my wife (43 years) and God and I will not break it. Over 30 operations to put most of me back together so it gets interesting at times but at least I have a home; far too many don't. Thank you so much for caring and doing this reaction.

And her kids only kept me around, as they gave me purpose again, even if they are now fairly useless. Sadly, not for lack of trying and education. At least she didn’t lie or cheat, like all the others. When I’m off and away. Just didn’t work out. Sadly. I do t have a purpose, anymore, besides being a stubborn son a of bitch. Haha. Once again. Happy Thanksgiving young lady. I had to comeback and rewatch. I'm wishing it was January and this holiday nightmare was over already. Fighting the battle within has been hard lately but it is what it is i guess. Again thank you sweetie for doing this reaction for me and bringing awareness to what is so real for so many of us. I pray all is going good for you.

Thank you so much for doing this song for me. What do mean by hardly existing. I take cold showers and cook on hot plate because I can't afford to have gas on. Food boxes and pantries feed me, yet im better off now than the three years i was homeless. As a fourth generation vet, i have a whole family history of how little the government cares. So i ask was my family history a generational sacrifice or a generational curse. I love your reactions and for the record, i get more love from people online then live people. I spend most of my time alone and is looked at as old vet with head issues. If i get hi and a little conversation its a lot. Your conversation means a lot young and from the bottom of my heart thank you.

@@DesireesReactiverse the homeless vets issue is a local issue on a national level. What do I mean? Being in one of the VA programs, I found there is a process, paperwork, documents, ID, phone contact between all agencies involved ( no you don't just call VA hotline, I went through different agencies and over half a dozen people, ) that vet sitting there on the sidewalk in that state, isn't going to have all the above linking them to these programs and each program has limitations on what vets they will and will not take. What's missing is that local person being that local step between the local programs and the local vet who can't do it without help.

Hey brother. I served with you beautiful and crazy Aussies on camp bastion. In that hell of Afghanistan. You are all legends, along with Royal marines commandos, and too many to name. But you guys were: are. Fucking insane. If a IS marine telling you that doesn’t raise your spirits a little, I don’t know what to tell you, besides hang in there: you made difference. And for the night mares, just imagine IS marines. Loving you….ahaha. You’re welcome, yes we’ll ruin every situation, especially to help brothers who sacrificed.
You are hero. Never feel guilty, way easier said than done; I almost ate my 1911 a few times. Suck starting it. As an American, easy to do. Is always there, every single day since then,is / a battle. And I feel you, would far rather die in a pie brass, next to, and with my brothers than any other alternative as is.

Actions speak louder that words, at least to me. Biden has words but I go by what I see. I also donate money and help veterans when I can. Look, the day will come when we need our veterans again. We can't have them dieing. Show them that we love them as much as they love us.
