I played bunch of night golf in Asia. The artificial lighting messes sense of distance. Uneven brightness of the lighting amplifies mis-perception of distance.

Only UA-cam guy with a oz of chance in that qualifier is George Bryan. He's actually made a cut on tour. That's the best case scenario for UA-cam golf. Most likely will be the actual tour/mini tour guys. That said, definitely some forward thinking for the PGA. Can't deny the millions of fans and manufacturers that have embraced UA-cam golf
It’s sad to see the infighting within the golfing community. As I see it, the PGA was the main tour, LIV came along and signed a number of very good players to create another tour which purports to be innovative and different. Suddenly I see comments referring to them as A and B tours not sure how or why. Fact remains they are still hitting a ball around a field and you pays your money and takes your choice. Whether it’s better or not is a matter of personal opinion. What I would say is that between the PGA, LIV, the Players and social media, none of it has helped the image of the game.
I would rather watch Pete Finch shoot 74 than a second of LIV golf. I would rather get up at 3:00 am to watch DP World Tour than tune into Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia playing a local Muni.

Love the way the haters for AK think he is coming to LIV having just picked up his clubs a few weeks ago and said “what the hell, I’ll give it go” There are plenty of legit PGA guys that have played golf with him recently, last 2 years, that say he is a legit plus 7 and has been for some time. I hope he lights it up. But if he breaks par every day, it will be great for LIV. The PGA die hards will hate on it no matter what happens.

As an old guy who loves the underdog storylines, the PGA Tour having all these out of nowhere winners (am Dunlap, recovering addicts, bouncer Knapp overcoming last round start for life changing win) is far more intriguing than guaranteed $ for mediocre LiV comps
The top guys will only play 20 - 25 tournaments a year. If you want a season of 45+ events you, by definition, cannot have them there every week. You could spread them out but then you don't get them facing off too often. Accept there will be B/C fields but enjoy the golf and let the lower guys have a chance to develop their careers. Or we could have an exhibition circuit.............ooops that is already covered.
PGA Tour needs to cut down their tour cards to 100 and be very stingy with special exemptions… Mexico Open was a different tour and overall hurting the pga tour brand
I think the pga is like the mean person in the relationship that’s been cheated on and wants to hold on but at some point they are gonna have to say go on be happy make lots of money don’t let me hold you back cause they ain’t got it and I don’t know where they are gonna get it from at the end of the day tiger investors and sponsors are the only one who can save the pga at this point

Viktor Hovland is my A-tier player. Also, look at Will Zalitoris, he was an unknown and now he's a well known pro in only a few year's time. As long as Patrick Reed is on LIV, I am not watching. I'd rather watch D-tier, Korn Ferry players on the PGA than watch one shot of Reed.
FP is a good golfer. Not a great golfer, but a good golfer. More importantly for this specific event he has a big following and popularity. He is probably the #2 hotlist UA-cam golf player rn for people to collaborate with after Grant Horvat. He even admitted on his podcast that he basically has no shot of making it, but understands the purpose and there is technically always a chance for a miracle in a 1 round qualifier event....

ANY scratch golfer would have a shot at a PGA OPEN event with OPEN Qualifiers all over the country so it's not like they're inviting random UA-cam golfers just because they make golf videos, all of those players are very good golfers. AND, get it together PGA you're ruining MEN's golf for your audience with your petty pissing contest!! The LPGA works fine with the PIF Aramco Team Series, they earn world ranking points and Solheim Cup points for the Individual PRO's without having to choose what league and events they are going to play in!!

I’m pulling for Luke Kwon in the UA-cam field. Played at a D1 powerhouse, won a PGA China event, played PGA Latin America and Korn Ferry.
