Ooohhh I see! Also dabbled in Live, but decided to go for BitWig recently. Highly recommending to check it out if u like Live. Yes, mastering is a different beast. I’ve attended training with a mentor who mastered for Virgin, Sony, etc. + read some books. This really helped grasp it and enhance my sound a lot during production already. But it takes a particular process, well treated room, and a loooot of practice. Surely, I couldn’t objectively master my own stuff well. (I used to be a professional ghost producer in Logic Pro, for a while, including mixing and mastering label stuff). Any particular concept about mastering that’s puzzling you? I might make a video on it at some point!
@@SnaptoGrid really have been drooling over the elektron machines, and a few other pieces. Seems hardware is always limited somehow. I'm very interested in how to do hour or 2 sets live, have the maliability of djing at the same time. I'm really into the minimal stuff when it comes to techno and tech house, but also developed an ear for deep prog and melodic/organic sounds in deep house because I lived in Buenos Aires for some years. The have a real knack for this kind of sound.... you're flying and it's often very musical. So I guess what I'm looking for is if people have figured out how to do these longer sections of songs with parts maybe borrowed from other music like a DAW remix, but on gear. It's cool to see someone pull that off and gives me hope that it's possible on hardware only.
Me too. They are soooo powerful. Kinda flirting with the idea of a preowned Octatrack. At the same time, constraints foster creativity. As for longer life performances/sets, Dave Mech has a cool approach (although it’s a tad harder than the sound you’re referring to!)
Pleased to hear you enjoyed it 😜 Yes, I sampled some jaw harp oneshots, and loaded them up on this. Still gotta do a tune with actually playing along to an electronic tune. 🙈
@@isolinarojasa.8752 It has indeed. But not neeeearly for as long as jaw harps and other traditional instruments! 😇 But we get to do both and even combine them. How fortunate we are!
Cool track, and loved the video filter.
Thanks! Glad you loved it. Do you DJ or produce too? 😎
@@SnaptoGrid dj'd for some years. Ben playing with ableton forever, but nothing published. Mastering is a beeoch for me.
