Are the acrylics on this polish glaze permanent or will they wear out over time?
Thanks for sharing!
I just used my Helios 404 which I purchased for my light blue Subaru. I tried it out on my buddies Black 450 CLS which probably had never been touched by a soft cloth ever. I was absolutely amazed as it transformed right before my eyes. I allowed it to sit for 2 days then topped with BC2 after I did an IPA wipe down. Aside from the rock chips it’s newer paint now and it did provide some confidence as it’s not a very aggressive glaze.
Thanks Chris
Great job on the information provided
🙏
LVR404 Helios is daaaaa bommmb!! I use it on “every” non-black car & those get LVR403! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for this video
Using Helios on a white 2018 Silverado this week. See how it works. Your "Topper" is an excellent product!
Outstanding products that give guaranteed results!! 😎
Great stuff for sure! Lvr 403 is a game changer!
great video and tutorial bud..b well
Why couldn’t I use this AS my wax or sealant? I understand it’s not going to bead water the best.
its not a stage 4 product. Stage 4 products are for protection and lock down
@@xtremesolutions5219 fair enough, but I give the product 10/10.
great video, I have a steel gray GTI and I thing I will give a try with the glaze.
You will love it
@@xtreme_solutions I’m pretty sure, this spring I will start my own enthousiast detailing business and I was thinking taking your products as well as Tac system products except 2-3 other products recommanded by Brian at Apex.
In detailing terms, buffing the surface after polishing with 403/404 is one of the most pleasurable experiences out there. If I were only allowed to have 10 polishes, I'd find a space for them both in my arsenal.
You’re good they’re “polishing glazes” so there’s room for them 😉
I have a 6 month old white GTI that I’ve been using Turtle Wax Minute Wax on. Nothing else. I want to do a decontamination was & use this product.
I’m happy with the condition of the paint and don’t plan on doing any other polish. Just your glaze.
Do I have to strip off the TW wax? Or will your glaze just kinda do the job?
Thanks so much!
Hello Katie!
You can go ahead and do a strip wash then a decontamination and apply the glaze!
Apologies for the delay in response!
Hope this helps :)
@@xtreme_solutions
Ok, what should I use for a strip wash? CarPro Reset?
@@katiecannon8186 we have a strip wash!
“Miracle wash”
Strips old waxes and sealants for fresh clear to layer down the protection of your choice :)
@@xtreme_solutions
Thank you! I’ll order some!
@@katiecannon8186 you’re very welcome!
Steve, VERY nice results! Would love to see you do a black vehicle with 403 followed by Black Diamond Double Coat Tin Wax. What other colors could 403 be used on other than black, charcoal, grey?
I’ve done the 403 then black diamond and it’s incredible, great idea for a video thank you! Really anything dark will be fine for 403. I’ve used it on dark blue, candy apple red and even some sand/tan color vehicles as well
@@xtreme_solutions Thanks Steve.
Thanks for the video. Good explanation. As a beginner driveway weekend warrior, I’m gradually being sold on Xtreme Solutions product line. This for a few reasons. Readily available in Canada, very good customer reviews and Brian Spitler stamp of approval on many of your products.
Shine On!
Thank you we hope to continue to win you over
I’m sold! Ordering Xtreme suds, magnum wax, Polyseal, topper, Finale and 404. Thanks!
Great video,
I have 403 polish and poly seal spray going to arrive this week.
I have been using ceramic products and I thought I would wanna give something different a try
Any tips for preparing for the new extreme products
@@joesiroski6810
Hi Joe, unfortunately Polyseal was a geat disappointment for me. No durability. After all the prep put into it I got much more durability with TW seal n shine.
I have since moved to Gyeon Cancoat which is quite impressive.
@@joesiroski6810 Topper on the other hand is very good. The Extreme suds soap is ok as well. As for the polish…not seasoned enough to tell the difference.
Great stuff
Got a question about trifecta and finale . Using on a darker and black vehicle should I then use an IPA after use or not ? This is before putting on a coating . Thanks and great video
I always recommend an IPA you don’t know what particles are on the clear coat even after a polish. Trifecta and finale don’t leave behind anything that needs to be removed with an IPA, but I would do an IPA before any coating (not wax)
That cord came a little to close to the panel for my comfort 🙈daily driver or not..great product though it appears. 👌🏻
Yea I’m not worried about cords while filming especially when it’s a family members car. It’s too much to set up shots, film, do photos etc. I’m also in the school that if a rubber cord damages a car we have bigger problems. Professionals in the field, different story.
Steve so with 403 and 403 using is a primer base for all ceramic coatings with out effecting the longevity of that coating has then been tested with say Gtechniq CLS and EXO coated car. Just seem counter intuitive that acrylic base coat filling in the surface of the clear coat is stable enough to not effect the SIO2 coating. Just curious.
Acrylics have been studied and used for a long time, they’re used almost everywhere. Once they cure they become as stable as your original clear coat. That acrylic will bind to your clear coat, and essentially bind the same way to the ceramic coating over top. We have hundreds of detailers in the network who use these underneath every coating they apply. Now I definitely can’t speak to those other companies ceramic coatings and how they will bind. Each company will have a different blend and I’m not sure how they formulate theirs and how it binds. I can tell you off the record the chances of their coating binding properly with 403/404 is 99.9% BUT I can’t study everyone’s formula to know for absolute certainty. If acrylics aren’t your thing which is completely understandable I recommend Finale Soft Paint Polish. No fillers no residue no leftovers
Are those pads your brand? And what throw were you using 12 mm, 15 mm, or 21 mm. Thanks for the info great video!!
Lake country foam pads. They’re on our website and you can get them from other vendors. This is a 15mm throw, thanks for watching
Thank you for the explanation! A little bit of clarification if I may: On your website FAQ, it says that the cure time is only for keeping the 403/404 away from detergent washes, am I okay to put down a wax right after my polishing glaze? I just spent about 4 hours polishing my dark colored car with 403, then laid down LVR 336 perfection. Looks amazing! Should I expect the resin to harden underneath the wax or was it just a quick polish?
Putting a wax down right after is fine yes the cure time only applies to cleaners and detergents. It really has to do with IPAs before ceramic coats. A wax right after 403/404 is perfect
I would also just caution about using certain "speed" waxes. Some speed waxes have solvents in them. You can tell if a speed wax uses solvents since they will typically separate and the solvent will float on top of the wax. Solvents will wreck the acrylics before they have a chance to cure.
@@xtreme_solutions Thank you! If I put a coating down after the 403/404's had 24-48 hours to cure, will the fillers last as long as the coating?
Correct
I plan on doing a 1 step correction on new white tri coat cadillac xt6 with helios 404 and sealing with poly seal. What would be the better pad choice? Green ccs, white ccs, microfiber polishing pad? Thanks
If it’s new how much correction needs to be done? The less correcting that needs to be done the more you’re leaning to a polishing pad. If there’s some work to be done I’d go with the green. If not so much then the microfiber polish pad.
Need some info, soft clear would this work in conjunction with I believe the 496 may be wrong on number the one for soft paint.
496 doesn’t have acrylics, these do so it depends on your desired outcomes and if you’re looking for acrylic reconditioning. 403/404 are gentle enough for soft clear coat. So you really don’t need to use both it would be one or the other.
403 all the way, it’s the only thing I need to keep my Magnetic grey Tundra looking like a “black mirror”! Awesome stuff! I am curious though. I’m using a LakeCounty CCS orange pad, but where is that compared to the green pad you showed in the video, softer or harder? Thx again!
Lc green pad Is basically used as an all-in-one product pad for 1 steps. The Lc orange Is more of a correction only pad.
Yes as previously mentioned by 404 not found the orange is very aggressive and is for correction
I find the white pads are all that is needed on a Tundra which has soft clear. The orange pads left a haze. Now for just a refreshener type polish with the ice polish or even 403 I'd use the black ones.
@@billmccann217 I’ll give the white CCS pads a try as well. Thx
@@404notfound..... where would the LC CCS white pads fall in this order? Thx
How does the cut on these compare to LVR 367? Any benefit to using 367 then following up with these for the acrylics?
Lvr 367 will cut a bit more. I would use one or the other. If you want acrylic reconditioning use 403/404. If you just want a polish and clean use 367 or Finale Soft Paint Polish.
@@xtreme_solutions Appreciate the quick response and great content. As someone newer to paint correction are there any reasons to use a pure polish in lieu of a polishing glaze (durability, appearance, etc.)? Especially with softer paints the idea of minor polishing and adding acrylics seems preferable to simply removing clear coat.
Polishing glazes will most likely be safe for soft clear coats. When we’re talking about removing too much clear it really is directed at standard compounds. The benefits to polishing glazes, they GENERALLY will leave behind a bit more gloss and shine than a pure polish since it has that added glaze benefit. Acrylics do take time to cure so for those who just want a quick polish and to move on a pure polish would be more of their go-to. Thank you for the questions and kind words!
What’s with the standing there drinking coffee? I’ve seen a few UA-cam people do that?
Coffee is awesome and part of the story. Not sure about anyone else though
@@xtreme_solutions That's an easy one: admiring your work. 😉
Can you apply a coating on a glaze after a 12 HR cure time? What extreme solution products have you topped 403 and 404 with that have great results?
Where can I order?
Thanks...
Yes you can a coating on a glaze after 12 hours. XS PolySeal is a great choice to top them with 9+months protection. www.877askxtreme.com for US orders Carzilla.ca for Canada
What about an IPA after the 24-48 hr?
Is it needed?
I always recommend an IPA because you don’t know what’s on the surface of the vehicle. Dust dirt fibers etc are all airborne and can travel and fall onto the surface of a vehicle. If you don’t IPA you run the risk of leaving them in between the coating and the surface.
@@xtreme_solutions will that degrade the acrylic left by 403/4
The acrylics will be fully cured in about 24 hours and that that point the IPA won’t effect them
1st from Puerto Rico 👍🇵🇷
Always buddy
Is there any advantage to follow up LVR 496 with 403 ?
Maybe just the acrylics but if they’re the desired result I’d just stick with 403 and skip 496
