- Welcome to my channel and Week 6 of 2024, where I'm sharing a weekly crafty project. Today I'm working with colored vellum to create stunning soft translucent flowers for a banner in my studio. I share the techniques to working with vellum, adding color, shaping the flowers and the things I learned along the way.

Annette, this project is just lovely. So interesting to see you make the vellum flowers and then decorate the banner pieces! What a beautiful addition to your craft studio!
Thanks Marie! So happy you liked it. I love how it looks in my studio!
What a beautiful home decor piece! It will make you smile each time you go in your craft room.
Thanks Kathy. And yes, you're absolutely right!
Have not watched how to make flowers before even though I have the dies. So glad I came upon yours. They are the most beautiful paper flowers I have ever seen. And really love the vellum! Thanks so much for showing us how to make them! 😊
Thanks Beth and I hope you start using your flower dies more now. The vellum is now my favorite way to do them. They just turn out so soft and pretty with that translucent look. Thanks for watching.
Love this, so pretty!! The flowers made of vellum are so different and dainty! The green beads called Ribbit - for Frog!! 🤣 You can add the bow to each end of the ribbon you will be using!! Beautiful job as always!! TFS!!🌺🏵🌸
Thanks, and that's a great idea to add the bow to both ends. Thanks for watching!
I love the flowers done in vellum. They're so delicate and pretty. Now I'm thinking I need a banner in my craft room! xo

Just beautiful. That's going to look so nice in your room. You'll have to post a picture of it hanging. Thanks Annette
Thanks, and I sure will!
Annette this is so delicate and a great treat just in time for spring. It’s absolutely breathtaking! I am thinking I need one of these beautiful touches of spring banners in my bedroom/craft corner shared space. I don’t have much wall space but maybe as a vertical banner and it could even hang on a door. Thanks for sharing this lovely design for springtime. 🥰
Belinda, thanks, and that's a great idea to go vertical. I bet that would be so pretty too!
Very pretty. Thanks for sharing your talent
Thanks Cathy! Thanks for watching.
So pretty!! Love how you put things together

Love this banner! So pretty! I keep trying with the flowers but I’m not very good! lol! I’ll keep trying! Love your linked video was three years ago to the day! 🌼🌸💝
Thanks so much! It does take a bit of practice, so don't give up. 😊
Beautiful flowers 😍😍😍
Thank you so much!
Beautiful
thanks so much!
I have some dark mint volume. Now I know what to do with it!❤
Try it! It's so pretty in person.
Very nice Annette. Question: how do you decide if you are shaping the petal from the front or the back?
Thanks Jacquie. I discovered that it's always best to shape from the front with vellum. When I do paper flowers, I mostly start with them face down to achieve the shape I like.
Hi Annette. Lovely flowers, and great tips. What is the name of the shaping tool that has a little foot? Where can it be purchased? Thanks!
Thanks so much Margaret. That's the "golf" tool and I linked to it in my description above. Here it is again: a.co/d/iMdbeyk
Beautiful, thank you. @Annette what is the spoon tool called and from please?
Thank you! That's from Tonic. It's the Nuvo brand. Here's the Amazon link: a.co/d/6X5wKzp
Annette. What kind of glue squeezer are you using for your glue bottle?
That's the Precision Glue Press by My Sweet Petunia. It's pretty great!
What are the die holder pouches you use?
I like the frosted envelopes from Scrapbook.com. Here's a link to the ones I buy: www.scrapbook.com/store/sbc-storage-3962-2.html Looks like they are out of stock at the moment, but they keep re-stocking them so don't give up.
Well don’t they look cute. The vellum gives a nice softness to the flowers.
Thanks Pam. Yes, I have to say it's probably my new favorite method for flower making.
@@AnnetteGreen I think it will be my favourite also.
