I think the Merkur Group puts out some of the best designed watches out there in the value range. I really wish they would use sapphire or a different movement. Thanks as always. You’re absolutely right about the minute hand.

I really like the look of this and I've had it on my radar since I first saw it. However, I wish it had a sapphire crystal; I'd happily pay a bit more for it with sapphire.

They def needed a circle to encompass the hour marker. Its the little attention to detail that would make it more attractive.
It would have really added something to it.
Now that's an interesting timepiece. Learning about what's out there makes this hobby well worth it. Thanks for sharing this new timepiece.

Other watches with a similar feel are the Lobinni Micro-rotor, Baltany 1921 and 1926.

@@WATCHingJames that's on my list to get I have the other two .. they are fantastic.
I bought the exact same watch and it arrived with the hour disk misaligned and not showing centererd in the dial opening. They refunded me with 29,51€ and I risked to repair it and was able to put the hour disk with the back spring in the correct position and now the hour appears perfectly aligned in the dial.
Great result in the end. But disappointed to hear it had to be done that way.

Good review 👍 That is a good looking watch, you are right about the minute hand, they should have made it longer too. I know what you mean about the strap, I had a San Martin strap with that plastic finish and it was beige too, I sanded the finish off and found decent leather underneath, stained it re-stitched it and it now looks like a vintage brown strap.

Very interesting watch that I attempted to purchase last year. I was informed the watch had been dispatched but I was then notified that there was an issue to do with exports and I was given a refund? I might consider it again in an AliExpress sale.
