These seem absolutely delicious - but my Sicilian grandparents were basically peasants so their meatballs were much, much simpler, with way fewer ingredients. It's interesting to see how other Sicilians cooked differently simply due to how much money they had.

Here's a fun one for you to think about: the Iberian sandwich from Kuroko's Basketball! Looks like pork cutlet, Iberico ham, foie gras, caviar, lettuce, tomato, and maybe other condiments on an Italian loaf. You should try it and see if it really is a "harmony of flavors!"

Interesting recipe, I've always done a ricotta beef lamb meatball myself for Italian loaf subs or to serve along side my rigatoni & cheese baked casserole.

My Italian American family is serious about the milk-bread addition. Different grandmas use either more or less milk and the grandma who used the most of it had the highest praise. Hers threatened to fall apart, but wouldn't.

Try meatballs with whole pine-nuts. My mother used to stuff tomatoes and peppers with pine-nutted meatballs and they tasted amazing.

So over the many years of making meatballs I've discovered the best method for not over working them is to cut and fold your ingredients into the meat using a butter knife. It allows you to break up the ground meat, well mix everything and also end up with meatballs that have that perfect texture.
It would be great to see the turkey cooked inside a monkfish from Malcolm in the Middle !
Gooseberry pie from Snow White plz! Always wanted to eat that pie with a bunch of green berries.
Also, she passed out via apple when the pie was in the oven, and five year old me was traumatized about how it must of gotten burnt. 😂

With all due respect, Snow White could talk to animals, and didn’t listen when they told her that this random old lady was dangerous.
Not only that, but she ate something from the same old woman that the animals were warning her about (and let a stranger into a house that she didn’t even own).
She’s a sweet heart, but she kinda had it coming. Her animal buddies gave her a place to stay when she was homeless. She at least could have heard them out about that creepy old woman.🤷♀️
The pie could not defend itself. It was left in the oven to be burnt alive. 😢

at this stage I go with ham, eggs, breadcrumbs, tofu, beef, veal, pork, peppercorn, red pepper jelly, and black garlic.
i love meatballs, cause u can find them all over the world, but there a small things every region is doin differently. Like Babis used bread without crust and made it very wet, so that there won't be bread pieces in the meatballs. over here in my region of germany u totally want to have this pieces ^^
