Right. I tried to justify it by reasoning that maybe he planned to say an oiled bowl and then his brain said "better make sure it's WELLLLL oiled" and so we got "an well oiled bowl."
I realized when I started making my own breakfast as a young teen that the Bagel setting on a toaster means it will only toast one side and I haven't gone back since. Toasting one side makes it crispy and easy to spread on while leaving the other side to be soft and non-abrasive to your mouth but still heats through to make it nice and warm. It is definitely the way to go.
I'm still into the frying pan method. The butter does something magic in a pan, whereas I haven't successfully buttered toast from a toaster since about 1998 (because that's when my family stopped eating the Death Margarine)
Slice the potatoes, oil a plate, place a layer of slices on the plate, don't overlap, season, microwave until crisp. Faster, yet still not worth the effort.

i am getting some delicious lunch ideas this Fall and I'm loving it!
P L E A S E do sploosh and the magically i scented peach and onion combo from holes !! 🥺
On Thanksgiving, make all the food the Magic Conch Shell brought from Spongebob episode, "Club Spongebob": Krabby Patties, Turkey, cookies, pink cake, yummy delicious super-terrific sandwich, etc.
I second this.
tbh babish i love you're voice its super soothing
“Post-penultimate proofing process”
Me and my family made this... best sandwich I've ever had. Thank you!
As a non-american, I think the most satisfying part of this video is when Babish said "aluminium" instead of "aloominum"
No one says "aloominum" We say "aluminum."
2:59 "AN well olied bowl" was it an typo durring script making and the laziness of the VO part or is it just a prank ?
Al-u-mini-yum lmao that caught me off guard and had me cracking up
America: What did he just say?
Rest of the World: Yeah, that seems right.
Hah, one of my favorite Parks and Rec bits. Andy calling it Alum-a-lum :D.
Hey, let's not turn this pronunciation into abject con-travasy.
Back to babish in this episode, most OG episode in a long time , thnx
“Babish Culinary Universe” is where Oliver is the God of culinary.
Cuisine*
His real name is Andrew Rea, pretty sure Oliver babish is a fake name he used when posting his videos because he didn’t want anyone to know his name
@Gabriel Story Kinda late but what I remember is that he said he named the channel after his Reddit handle which was named after a minor character from the West Wing.
"Or until doubled in size" one of the sexiest things you can hear
Where does the or fit into that?
I just adore that I keep getting Binging with Babbish ads before these videos 💖
“Homemade coleslaw ranked best in its class by JD Power for four years running.” XD lol
I'm still waiting on "thrifting with babish" where you take less expensive ingredients and make something really special out of them
