I SO ENVY the LUCKY people who got to see Freddie live! ....I'm pretty sure, the only times that he wore that white "Superman Cape" were when they were playing on their "home turf" in Britain. When they were playing in other countries, he would hold up a GIANT two-sided flag over his back which had Britain's Union Jack on one side... and the flag of the country they were currently in, on the other side! (Freddie was a GENIUS at connecting with the audience/making them happy.)

Written by Dr Sir Brian May for the fans, he had something in mind when fans were in the theatres and the stomp stomp clap originally recorded the video in Roger Taylor back garden, this also goes alongside We Are The Champions written by Fred, the latter was filmed in a theatre with invited fans which is and has always been very important too the group, they've filmed a few videos with invited fans, and the songs are always different at each concert, sang in a slightly different way each night and different from the studio albums
This was the last year that Freddie toured with Queen in front of live audiences but this is not his final performance that year. That show was at Knebworth House on August 9th, 1986. Freddie wasn’t hitting the higher notes that he normally would. I am really glad that you have gone on this Queen musical journey!
I'm guessing you have watched Chaka Khan do "Got To Be There"... and when your ears stop ringing and you can gather your thoughts you will publish your reactions to that stunning vocal performance..... then I will say, see, I told you so.

The Irony of it that the Stadium Anthem Kings are a group called "Queen".... "We Are The Champions" is absolutely true.
