I wish you showed everything you did as I’m stuck on getting the small gear out after removing the snap ring.

After that snap ring it should just come right off unless there is corrosion

I'm kinda surprised you don't ever wear nitrile gloves when you're working on greasy messy equipment. I use them a lot.
