Do you still have the link for the carburador boot?
Thank you for the video just what I was looking for.
How’d you take out the arm?
Two screws on the back
can you make a video about how to replace the valves on the Yamaha MA190S5050?
I have a "to do" list based on comments. I will add this.
Thank you so much for making this video. I’ve been trying all sorts of things to try and stop the kick back on my generator. I’ve wrecked two pull staters, and had numerous sore wrists. Your valve fix was the problem and the machine is quieter and not dangerous to start anymore 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌have a great new year
You as well
Im subscribed now!!
If I may offer a suggestion in what you said in the first part of your video. The engine is definitely not a two-stroke engine that runs on a four stroke idea. The engine is a 100% four stroke engine that has no oil sump, but just uses the same lubrication as a two-stroke.
Is it me or that fuel is wayy to black to be 1:50 ratio
I think it could be a little aged or heavy
You should have rebuilt the original carb. The chinese carbs sometimes have rich jetting.
Why do people replace gummed up carburetor instead of trying to clean out the existing one?
The main reason would be because they don't want to mess it up. Some small carbs are "complicated" and buying a new one is quick and easy.
Neighbor has this same Tecumseh motor, on a generator, and it's leaking oil from where the governor shaft goes through the crankcase cover. Have you ever dealt with that issue or know if it can be fixed? Thanks
I have seen it a few times. The unfortunate part is that it isn't easily fixable. You need to open the motor and put in a bushing on the governor shaft. Just opening requires new gaskets
@@PNWSmallEngineandLawn Thank You
Thanks, have to replace my crank case cover and this video helped get me there.
Glad it helped
We say “Zed” in Canada when you say “Zee” in the USA…
Great video. Cleaned my carb just how you showed. Worked perfect. Thank you so much.
My dad also tried starting it and it had no kick back and started like normal 2 days later he started it again but it had kick back he told me he didnt have that the first time so is it a valve issue or something else?
It sounds like a valve issue. You should have a compression release. If you don't it might be broken or the exhaust is way out of spec
@@PNWSmallEngineandLawn okay well i bought the engine from a guy who put a 2 stoke exhaust on it i asked him why he said it was the only one he had around so could that be a problem if its not how do i fix the vavles if they dont do compression release
So how do i fix the valves if it doesnt do a compression release?
Two places I check for rust….. first is on the two posts that the coil sits on. The second is a heavy build up that adds to your feeler gauge measurement. A lot of good information.
I just bought one of those chipper shredder it was not starting. Had spark added gass in plug hole and in carburetor plus marvel oil in plug hole and gas tank. It fired up with choke on smoking nicely. I put a half tank of gas it fire up. No smoking. Next day it fired up ran for a while and quit running and starting. I found the problem was the gas Cap wasn't venting when it was on tight. It has a rubber ring 1/8" thick the vents in the cap were free. I removed the ring and tightened the cap and it's been running ever since
Very nice
Homelite gas edger 79cc
Is it normal for oil to pour out when you remove the cover?
Yes. Need to raise the front a bit
@@PNWSmallEngineandLawn - Ty, I check and cleaned carburetor, I checked these valves, the unit still won’t start, it runs for 5 seconds and shuts off, any idea ?
If I manually move the governor it will stay on what the help of starter fluid
Merci de France pour la video 😀
What is the name of that plastic part ?
I believe that is a thermal relief valve
Thank you for the free knowledge my friend! Curious, where did you get the honing tool?
I believe I bought it on Amazon
@ Would you mind directing me to the one you purchased? I lost top end power yesterday while running it. Come to find out the inlet fuel line has a rip right by the fuel filter, where the hose clamp rusted off as well. (Bought it used and had fun with it before checking everything over. 🤦🏻♂️)
Won't run on 60 PSI
For what reason would you need to put on a new carburetor when you just need to clean jets What's difference thanks . Seems a waist I wonder if those aftermarket carburetor is as good as genuine honda . I know you can get cheep shit carburetors on cheep china motorcycles .
Most of the aftermarket ones are going to work fine. Some may not but make sure you always have a ability to return it. If there was a lot of water in the carb and rust in the bowl that would be a time to replace or there is a lot of corrosion.
@PNWSmallEngineandLawn corrosion on outside wouldn't affect it And a little surface rust on inside of bowl I've seen that plenty of times I just like original carburetor . Never had any hassle just blocked jets . Should try spraying old carby with degreaser pressure wash it and clean jets just to see how different it runs .
No help, I need choke lever to work on mine.
Your video fucking sucked! you didn’t even show how to install the string part back into the machine! Waste of fucking time to watch!!
So you seem to be able to rotate the transmission forward by hand. If I try that on my identical mower it won’t move. The belt was off when I bought the mower so we’ll see if it works with a new belt.
It should move. You might have to clean the shaft that go from the transmission to the wheels.
How has the new pump lasted?
This one I am not 100% sure on but on a karcher that I put this exact pump on for a neighbor has lasted for about 2 years so far with no issues
Excellent
Hi i was wondering if you know where i can find the pull start assembly im having a really hard time finding one thanks and thanks for the video
28400-ZH8-013ZB is the part number. Amazon should have it. I got that number off jack small engine.com so I know they do but it might be expensive. They do sell the internals so you can save a little money
Probably didn’t need a new carburetor just needs a secondhand to hold down the gas because you flooded it
Do these have any adjustment skrews on the back of the carb like Stihl carbs
They do not. I am actually in the process of showing how to adjust these carbs. They have two hidden adjustment screws
Please add an email address or phone number to your "community" page at youtube, or if you will, please reply here.. We have some work for you.
Where you find replacement choke cable?
I believe it came from Jack's small engines
Have the same problem, bushing on the blower fan cracked in 4 places. Thanks for point out this could be the issue. Did you torque the nut down to the mfg spec when re-installing? I don't own a torque wrench...yet.
I did. I also used a little locktyte
Junk time 4 a new mower
Thanks a lot sir this makes more sense to me now., I appreciate the time that you took to make it 👍
WTH ! Do you ever prime the darn thing plus I have rebuilt carburetors my whole life and have never seen such a dirty work area. The first time you didn't even look at the needle and seat and yes do some research first on the compression release and valve train adjustment UGH Wasted my TIME!!!
Haw I change the motor oil? Do you have any video thanks
This machine is a 2 cycle so the oil is in the fuel
Hello where did you get that carburetor from?
I can't remember but I usually use ereplacementparts.com, Jack's small engines or Amazon
I use a open end wrench and if you want to be fancy you can grind the tip of it down it works good
That cable clamp looks pretty ghetto. I just picked up a commercial 30 for a steal and the cable is too tight. I can hear the blades spinning a bit without the bar being engaged. Thanks for this video.
Ya the clamp isn't the best. I have had to repair many stripped out screws because people over tighten the bolt and belt
@@PNWSmallEngineandLawn I'll make sure to be easy lol. Looks like an off the shelf part for something else. Might even just put new cables on.
Great video! Thanks.
Mike I think you forgot to show us the obligatory video of the unit in action...I'm jus' sayin' Thanks for uploading!
Ya there was a bit of a rush
Can you fix for me?
If you are close to Portland Oregon or want to mail it to me I can
Just kit it and not the crab china junk
