Today on the Daily News You Can Use, Ray and Zach discuss the latest news headlines from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM. Tune in to learn more!
The question that needs to be asked... How's that greed working out for you? US automakers are down today after Stellantis warns on profit. 2024 first half net profits down 48% compared with the same period last year! Someone is about to be fired. The solution is simple. Only sales are going to save STLA and other automakers. Cut new MSRP’s by >25%, mark down current inventory by >35%. Observe, Adapt, Change, & Survive. My invoice is in the mail.
Someone's going to have to "grow up" and make the hard (responsible) decisions needed. "PAIN."
Wouldn’t want a vehicle that’s been sitting on a lot in the weather for 2 years…, not really new
Agree. Leaving a vehicle "inactive" for extended periods of time (IN the weather) presents an entirely new set of problems for the buyer.
And God only knows how many critters have crawled up into the engine compartment and munched on the wiring harness......
@@skyflyer4231 Rubber seals/hoses deteriorating. Mild/moderate steel corrosion and Aluminum oxidation. Also, ANY leaks (no matter how small) have had two FULL years to occur/accumulate damage. "Yikes."
They want crazy money for their vehicles and then with 8% interest is why they can not sell a thing. I would buy a Ram if the price was reasonable and the interest was too. I have good credit, and they will not go below 8%. $1500 a month is not something I am willing to pay unless it is a house payment.
Geez, I didn't realize that China competition is the reason that Stellantis US dealerships are overflowing with vehicles and still have some 2023's sitting.
It's a shame that these horrible executives that caused this will get a golden parachute worth 10's of millions when they get fired and the common worker will lose their jobs with not much more than a two-week check and a kick in the behind as they go out the door.
This
"China" is the new favorite excuse for poor corporate management - unless they're speaking of their European sales.
Two words Zack.... Mic Check (I've been a voice over artist since 2017, I NEVER forget mic check and I work ALONE!)
Stopped watching after the frustrating mic stuff.
I'll only add that it's not really funny anymore. And buying brand new Macbooks ($$$$$$) in an attempt to stop their "video freezing" issues is (to me) laughable. I assume there are no skilled PC techs in NJ and DC. I'd bet on some sort of security software involvement. It's not the hardware.
OH NOOOOOOO, The market is crashing again. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow and yes 365 24/7. Your message is getting numb guys, give it a break. We're not stupid, it's obvious it's for click bait. That's how you get paid, if the market wasn't crashing every day, you wouldn't receive any monies.
@Jrbrass : "Internet is serious business! Harrrumph!". Don't get worked up on something no one else takes seriously. You might want to stay away from Scotty Kilmer's channel (4.5+ million subscribers) if hyperbole, inaccurate titles and wild exaggerations bother you. The video titles may suck, but the content is relevant and usually spot on.
That's all I'm saying.
You nailed it. They messed up really bad on their pricing strategy. Did they have no clue who their core consumer was?
Just like to pay TV companies went out of business they had no idea what their viewers actually wanted to watch
In the past, when renting Chrysler and Jeeps, I did not like the qualities for them. In essence, I had doubts if I could safely get home. As a result, I only purchase cars from Toyota, Nissan, or Honda. Subaru is also excellent, I bought my last two from them new and they lasted a decade and when I sold them, they still ran without problem. Today, I have a 2023 Honda Odyssey and it also has been perfect. And I am looking at 2025 truck for fun. Undecided on which one or trim. I would not consider Ram, Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler into my future.
money factor of 10.55% for a lease for Wrangle 4xe High Altitude?? I walked away even with 25% off and EV tax credit
Best comment, these are stellantis mikes, lol
I blame the board of directors for this they sat back and watched all this happen and didn't do a think Elkin should be fired 😮
With the shape Stellantis is in are their going to be any techs to do warranty work?
The older we get, the less we care what people think of what we say...😂
It's great, isn't it?
To me Stella NA is facing a toxic mix of quality issues, overpricing, lack of value, bad dealer experiences, is feeding more to not consider the brand and eventually its hastens the speed of the death spiral. Many more will fear the brands disappearing, no dealership support, so not buy product at any even highly discounted price or 0% financing. Its like what happened to AMC in the 1980's, the companies it was created from in the 1950's, Studebaker, various foreign brands that disappeared in the 1970's, especially UK and Euro based ones.
Good post. The bad news becomes an echo chamber and repetitively increases (negative) momentum for those brands. I'm a donkey and it completely baffles me as to how any Executive Team and Corporate Board did not SEE what all of us could see as early as TWO YEARS AGO. Think of the salaries/benefits those people are pulling annually.....
Way to go Zack !!!!!!!!
Congrats on the great finish time Zack!
You two are a BOMB 😂in a great way love you two
Happy Monday! Congrats Zach.
Stellantis is messing with Ray's mic!
You did good in run congratulations 🎉
My local dealer just sold a brand new TRX, Durango Hellcat and few 392's! Last check they aren't giving them away either!
Not trying to tell you what to do zach, but You might want to make sure your firmware is up to date on your hardware. That may include installing software that belongs to the company that your microphone is made from.
Wanting to buy a new Hellcat/Scatpack, should i buy now or wait another month or 2 to see if year-end incentoves come out?
Crazy greed. They lost the plot and forgot the American consumer.
Even though Plymouth is gone, Stellantis still has the trademark for Plymouth. So, let's say if Chrysler or Dodge gets discontinued, I think Stellantis might bring back Plymouth. Or maybe they won't.
Plymouth was the "value" brand/badge of the Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth family of vehicles. That Stellantis is only NOW admitting their realization of "their problem", expect them to continue making awful corporate decisions.
I see folks in my subdivision with new extend cadi trucks and Denali and chevy trucks brand new I know for a fact our insurance and taxes have increased appraisal district made sure of it...they can afford new brand new trucks is mindblowing but maybe they can...I hope it works out
Reality: They probably can't afford them, and they will get slaughtered by the depreciation on top of that.
The two of you together is 100% my favorite duo
I think it’s time for a new dongle!😂
That's so cool. Son is taking care of dad.
Greed and. Corruption
Good audio
Thanks
No jeep wrangler should be over 30k. Period. And yes i am including the 396 or whatever its called. A wrangler is a base Lego block, you build it in the aftermarket. They are made to be offroaded not be a minivan replacement. After my 2000 wrangler tj i stopped even looking at the 4 door plastic wanna be wranglers.
Thought for Ray, Hybrids lose the best thing about BEVs. Maintenance. You should buy one b4 you make so much miss INformation about them. I'm sure you own a home, build a solar port, charge for free... any absolutely no maintenance. NO Oil changes, belts, tune ups, transmission prob, alternator, waterpump, I could go on and on and on and on. Just ask pepsi running the Tesla Semi.. they save 10k a year per truck in just maintenance from going from Diesels. And thats not including fuel savings which is 5 times that.
