2 completely different cars, Plaid is 90k and Porsche closer to 300k and ironically Taycan GT is basically only better in going around track (quite a bit tho) - Plaid is much more practical, much more comfortable and luxurious (air suspension, the fact that it actually has interior) and from what I've seen Porsche needs even more power to compete in a straight line because their dual speed transmission is the dumbest thing ever in an EV (Plaid is so fast because it uses those SpaceX designed carbon wrapped motors which basically do not lose torque with speed increase)... So sorry but statements like yours here are basic and confusing, almost reminded me of samsung fan boys

It should be said that if you opt for normal Taycan Turbo GT, you don't get the aero but you get rear seats. They are only deleted as a part of a Weissach package.

Porsche also doesn't force you to get rid of all creature comforts, they just offer you the no-cost option to do so if you want to, so there's no downside to it. You forgot to mention the Taycan Turbo GT has only 2 electric motors vs Tesla's 3. Porsche developed an amazing new rear motor for this car. As to the new Bugatti - Mate Rimac has stated in an interview: 16 cylinders, naturally aspirated, 9000rpm, about 1000hp and 1 meter long (!) engine will be coupled with 3x 340hp electric motors - 1 in the rear transmission, 2 on the front axle. Total power at the wheels approx. 1800hp. BTW: that smaller Rivian looks like a Lada Niva! 😬
The fact that the new E53 or E63 AMG look far better than the M5, better peformance and probably weigh less as well. The AMG GT63S E Performance is the testament, Mercedes is amazing in making sporty hybrid cars with insane performance.
The E53 isn't the foil for the M5. That would be the upcoming E63. I keep hearing different hp numbers for the car. I've heard the top hp is 603 in its sportiest setting (576 hp in "normal" setting).

Watched Engineering explained's video about the Bugatti engine. I too believe it probably won't be more powerful than the quad turbo because it sounds like an n/a engine that revs high. It's gonna use the hybrid tech from rimac and the combined output should be around 2000hp. Because the difference between the chiron and veyron was around 500hp and now koenisegg's gemera has 2300hp

The Bugatti V16 is by far the biggest news in this. Really curious to see the car - which looks like it will still be mid-engined. The Mercedes E53 looks great - apart from the weird rear lights. The new Charger also looks great, but the slightly different dimensions than the concept is odd. The twin-turbo straight-6 is cool though, more interesting than the EV. The Rivian R2 looks like a smaller R1S - like the Disco Sport to the normal Disco. The R3 and R3X are awesome! It looks like a modern version of the Mk1 Golf and Lancia Delta mixed together.

Rivian are putting out the most simplistic yet striking cars of any current automaker. Doubly impressive considering they're a fairly recent start-up. Although the R1T and R1S might prove to be a bit too large for european roads, that hatchback could be a top seller, if it also comes over.

I can understand a “purist” complaining about a full electric. But a hybrid is simply perfect. You get the traditional noise, and no power gaps thanks to the electrical engine.
Traditional noise isn't the case for all hybrids. Especially when u take account the space needed for the electrical motors and batteries, so in most cases you are bond to downgrade the engine. Just take the new c63s as an example. At least Mercedes didn't call the new hybrid e63 and named it e53 instead and im glad it's an i6 rather than the i4.
12 years ago, Straight 6 engines were not considered seriously by some car manufacturers cause everyone loved the roaring sound of the V8. Now, they see why it's convenient 😂

The fact that even a fresh new V16 Bugatti needs a hybrid battery setup to compete with EVs performance speaks volumes about where vehicle technology is going whether you like it or not.
The taycan is not that expensive. The car is only 2 seconds slower than a 3 million $ rimac nevera on the nurb and during the lap, the attack mode was not available in the big straight so the car lost a few seconds ( so the car could in theory be faster than the rimac ) And it’s even faster than the model S plaid Pikes Peak ( which was on slick tires) on laguna seca

As someone in sales at BMW in the states: The new M5 will use the same 4.4 TT V8+electric combo used in the flagship 2024 XM Red Label which is the first BMW to come stock with 700+ HP.. Given this will be put in the much lighter M5 it will probably be in the low 2 second range.. my guess is real 0-60 between 2.4-2.6 seconds.
Now that we have an electric car in our family (Audi Q4), as a car enthusiast I'm kindof pleased and impressed that Porsche are throwing themselves all batteries blazing into the performance EV race!

The Taycan was always a much "better" car than any Model S. If you've driven both it's no contest. One feels like a Porsche... Plaid is still very impressive, and as a Straight line car, we'll see if this new Taycan can compete.
Bugatti chiron looks like a brand new model to me. It hasnt aged at all. Looks like a 2024 hypercar. Im excitet for the new model but im expecting some disapointments too since chiron is so beautiful.

The taycan is not that expensive. The car is only 2 seconds slower than a 3 million $ rimac nevera on the nurb and during the lap, the attack mode was not available in the big straight so the car lost a few seconds ( so the car could in theory be faster than the rimac )
And it’s even faster than the model S plaid Pikes Peak ( which was on slick tires) on laguna seca

@ImanSengupta2102The Model S Plaid , which is much bigger than the Taycan and can comfortably seat 5 people (the Taycan in the video could only seat 2) is still faster than the new Taycan lmao. It completed the same track, Laguna Seca raceway, in 1:26. The new Taycan did it in 1:27. Did I mention the Tesla is nearly 5 years old?

As someone in sales at BMW in the states:
The new M5 will use the same 4.4 TT V8+electric combo used in the flagship 2024 XM Red Label which is the first BMW to come stock with 700+ HP..
Given this will be put in the much lighter M5 it will probably be in the low 2 second range.. my guess is real 0-60 between 2.4-2.6 seconds.
The new M5 is going to be heavier than current gen. It’s already been leaked.
Now that we have an electric car in our family (Audi Q4), as a car enthusiast I'm kindof pleased and impressed that Porsche are throwing themselves all batteries blazing into the performance EV race!

Bugatti chiron looks like a brand new model to me. It hasnt aged at all. Looks like a 2024 hypercar. Im excitet for the new model but im expecting some disapointments too since chiron is so beautiful.
