You are above / beside / outside everything concerning "playing guitar" - and because of your youth - this even applies in the temporal dimension. I have honestly no words ... fantastic / outstanding / unreal ... ! take care !
Did you see the video where he talks about how he got to this point? Life was pretty much dedicated to it outside of school and he started when he was 7.
oh ... now i get it ... just needed to add a few things to my practice list like; McLaughlin, Metheny, Holdsworth, Mancuso, Asato, Pass, Coletrane, Brecker, Correa, Birelli, Ostro, Parker, Braido, Carlton, Rittenauer, Bernth, Govan, Django, Green, Eunson, Bumblefoot, Vignola, Imbirba .... im sure i missed half of what he was nailing ... unreal!!
Here's the short version: be incredibly talented, practice hard for years, and then maybe be good enough to transcribe some of his easier passages. I've always thought if any guitarist could play half the cool quick lines that are like bread and butter for good horn players, s/he'd be the best. Now Joshua has proven me right!
I’ve thought Biréli LaGréne was the most complete guitarist I had ever heard. Joshua Meader is his equal. Most cats who let it rip, play very chromatically and often sterile. These lines sing. His harmonic concept also magic
I had a one on one lesson with Josh in his Sydney studio. He’s a really humble and cool person with good humour. An Aussie treasure he be!
only a guitar player knows how much to appreciate and admire him .
only a jazz guitar player
@@TheSkuns not true.

@@J.R...... virtuosos aren’t made in a day, natural talent is 1 thing, but practice is what it’s really at.

Derek Trucks is a very fine player, but he could’nt carry Josh’s guitar case
How in the actual f does he do this.
Super! Josh keep it solid, scales no problem, start venturing into chordal arrangements, key into Joe Pass and Tal
Joshua meader is not from this world...
