i can't believe i just heard you performing "mas que nada" by jorge ben jor 🥲 i'm from brazil, and this song remains a classic, even nowadays. It translates so much of that unique tropical feeling..i'm very happy and surprise to see you playing it. cheers from brasil!!!
Can you share with us your equipment, and effects: I see the Ibanez John Scofield (what year?). I hear some delay and reverb...anything else. And what equipment for amplification, etc? Great tone and great chops. Thanks!!!
They surely are tuned well but that doesn't really help you write music. It's like looking at Lionel Messi and being jealous of the way he tied his laces lol
Josh’s dad must have used up his last life jumping on a gernade or saving kids from a burning orphanage, to have been blessed with a son who not only plays as well as Josh, but will play with him.
Wow, that is a cool perspective. I like to see things that way sometimes, too. I'm afraid that squandering this one will result in me being a cockroach or maybe a republican in the next life.
@Rodrigo Fernandez Official yeah exactly so let’s let him decide. Just so everybody knows, I think this guy is absolutely amazing. I just wanted to pass on a piece of experience to a guitarist who could use it or not.
I kind of agree, it isn't necessary in my opinion. I think people add too much delay when they aren't fully confident in their playing - which is silly in this situation since he such a great player. But at the end of the day, it is a matter of choice. Not my thing though. A tiny bit of slap back sounds good, but when it competes with the played notes, it takes away from the playing IMO
I wouldn't say the slapback competes with the played notes at all - it's pretty obvious what's being picked. Shawn Lane had a very similar tone approach, it's just a fusion thing.
Just the other day he released an official statement where he announced that he was ditching his father who taught him this craft and would replace him with tits and booty in all upcoming video performances 🤦♂️
This reminds me of the Animals As Leaders performance where they played while some hot ladies tried to dance seductively to them djenting the fuck out lol
@@sixstring4 So completely standard effects for a typical fusion tone then? How is that 'heavy' processing when the vast majority of live electric guitarists would have those pedals in their board? FFS you make it sound like he's using a whammy pedal, octavers, or a guitar synth.

I think we are witnessing one of the greatest guitarists who's ever lived
me too. I'm serious. Joe Pass level. plus he's not even 30 yet
Totally agree...in an era of some fantastic guitarists this guy is at the top of the list.
Way to early to call, but he is in that lane for sure
Matteo Mancuso is on this level
He's excellent. Check out Pasquale Grasso
Josh is crazy dedicated and has such an insane skill level! Take lessons with him, definitely worth it!
@Kalel Johnathan nice fake conversation going on here
@Kane Zechariah Why would anyone want to hack anyones anything? Sounds disturbing.
Awsomely inspiring lessons ...... very beautiful.
Joshua and Matteo both have dads that play guitar. Awesome.
My favorite things amazing tune
Joshua,
you are one of the greatest players ive ever heard. So amazing to hear you play with your Dad.God bless you both!
You're one of the most talented out there, congratulations
Josh is verry amazing
So humble!
Nice rendition of "My Favorite Things". Looking forward to hearing more from you guys.
awesome stuff man! I cant help but think of Shawn Lane with that tone and playing. Cheers!
Wow this is great

Huge fan. You're amazing Josh
INCREDIBLE!!!!

Josh beautiful guitar playing Love it
Man, you're still killing it, melodic and musical, tell your Dad I said hello
A phenomenal guitar player
Josh needs to duet with Mancuso!
Your channel is going to blow up, i can sense it
i can too lmao
It died :(
excellent
Wow! Dad has one of the longest thumbs I've ever seen.
This is absolutely great thank you 🙏😀😀🙏🙏
Remainds me in way to shawn lane, great!
Awesome interview. Great talents. Josh's father is a swash-buckling Aussie! Some serious skills in that family.
The real sound of music🎼🎸
That turn around in the last song is most 🔥thing I’ve heard since the universe played me a song.
Excellent! Bravo!!!
Man this makes me wish I could connect with my parents musically somehow. Super cool
Wow I like it!!!🙂
He can play any genre. He'll grow big and bigger one day.
Fucking exquisite. Total breath of fresh air in modern day guitar community
This is mad!! Only guitarists know the difficulty level
odd seeing josh not in his house looking at his guitar with a stone face.
I want to see him and Guthrie jam together
Reminds me so much of Shawn Lane….
He's the only guy who can remind one of Shawn Lane hehe

I should’ve said modern day Joe Pass…
Очень душевно))) спасибо
Fantastic!
You're de great

Do you pick every note when you play fast? Or do you do more of hammer ons and pull offs?
I don't know how to play guitar but I can surely make a good tune with one of those guitars they are Tuned to perfection
They surely are tuned well but that doesn't really help you write music.

Bravi
How is he holding the pick
Músico completo
Sounds like 7 rings by Ariana grande
hello is that other guitarist the famous finnish olympic cyclist sixten wackström?
Gee, Peter Costello is your Dad!

How to get that tone? Its just reverb and some kind of boost?
there’s some slight analog delay, and a compressor with very high attack, a good amount of reverb and humbuckers are essential
and a thick/smooth plectrum
@ Plus he uses the Benson style backwards pick slant
i think that might be his dad
Voldemort could not kill him . . .
He don't like to talk about his technique ? And if he uses 3 Notes Per String system or not?
Sheesh
His tuning makes perfect tuning sound bad
The next Guthrie?
sure, but whos the next mancuso?
if you raise the tail peice itll make that ibanez feel a lot spongier and easier to press down and bend the strings
I wouldn't try and offer him any advice on his setup! He seems to be managing quite well with the guitar setup as it is!
@@bruceybonus7091 that’s a weird thing to say
@@tonywallens217 more weird to try and offer advice to a clearly talented musician
@@bruceybonus7091 Ah yes thats right, talented people are above advice.

Didn't know Bruce Willis played guitar so well,
gg
Why all this echo ? However you cannot improvise only making scales with no melodic lines

there is too much difference in height between the two!
this guy is an amazing guitarist ! but Why did he put this delay ! it's too much !
With just an accompanying nylon string it fills up the sound a little. I like it..

I wasn't going to say anything about it, but.... Well, I think they know what they're doing, so I'll accept it.
I think he is trying to replicate the guitar sound of old Cumbia music. or maybe he wanted to sound like Khruangbin band.
I wouldn't say the slapback competes with the played notes at all - it's pretty obvious what's being picked. Shawn Lane had a very similar tone approach, it's just a fusion thing.
Awesome playing but,... the mix isn't very good. Both guitars are panned too close together. And the acoustic is too bright and a tad too loud.
Thanks for the tips!
great musicians but too much delay
PLEASE, don’t denigrate yourself with hip hop 😔🤦♂️😵💫
The guy on the right is great but he wants to ditch the homeless guy on the left and get a couple of hot girls or something.
Just the other day he released an official statement where he announced that he was ditching his father who taught him this craft and would replace him with tits and booty in all upcoming video performances 🤦♂️

Heavily processed sound..
Define 'processed'
