    Dang, that first one was a beast!! And that last one was an awesome fight! Love all your vids, keep it up!

      Crazy how the “smaller” ones seem to fight harder than the bigger ones

      @@nancyhibbert73Thanks! Yeah, they are a blast to fish for... And the smaller they are, the more "trout-like" they fight! Awesome awesome fish to get after! 🤙✌️🎣

    Love this! You crushed it man! Love seeing what flies you threw at them! Never thought to use spiders! I've always caught them on carp spawn eggs or leeches sub surface! The only surface stuff I've done is foam berry poppers at the urban lakes!

    • @KevinRapkochFishing

      I've heard those berry poppers work pretty well! But yeah, I've caught a lot of em over the past couple of years by twitching cicadas, hoppers, beetles, and spiders... Really, any dime sized foam bug fly works pretty well. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment! 🙂✌️🎣

      @@KevinRapkochFishing Definitely seems like those terrestrials work well! Plus, I feel like they wouldn't spook fish as much! Excited to try it out next time!

    Yo Kev! Awesome video and glad you got yourself a large rubber net! The extension on that hand helps so much with slopes. Nice grass carps, I gotta get one soon, tight lines! 😎👊🎣🔥

    Haha those were some nice Grass Carp Kevin! Great job on landing them all! That net is the bee's knees, I really like the extension! Would it be good for the saltwater too?

      Yo Brody! Thanks for watching brother. The net has been awesome... And that rubber netting is so easy on the fish. I'm just not sure about rusting of the metal in saltwater, would definitely need to be washed with freshwater after every saltwater exposure. 🤔🤔 🤙✌️🎣

    I live here in AZ too. Are you casting up stream over their heads or are you floating it to their faces downstream?

    • @KevinRapkochFishing
      @KevinRapkochFishing  3 місяці тому

      Both! Whether they are swimming upstream or downstream, my goal is to land that fly 2-4 feet in front of them, and twitch it or strip it in front of them to get em to go after it. 🙂✌️🎣

    • @dirtandsol
      @dirtandsol 3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks Kevin. I am dealing with some quick moving water where I am. The only thing that makes sense to me is stand up stream and float it down to them. I’m still at zero on carp and 1 on bass 😂

    • @KevinRapkochFishing
      @KevinRapkochFishing  3 місяці тому

      @@dirtandsol I would cast upstream at about 45 degrees, and let it drift all the way down. I would also be fishing a dry dropper (hopper on top, nymph below), as the grass carp feed more throughout the water column in faster water. 🙂✌️🎣
