I needed this video. I get SO disheartened watching all of the UA-cam curly girls’ videos. My hair is fine on day 1, but the rest of the days are a complete crapshoot. It made/makes me want to just give up and straighten it, but I guess it just takes some creativity on days 2 through however long you can stretch it. The uncertainty! So nerve racking lol

It can be so discouraging to constantly be seeing girls with ~just washed-perfect curls at all times when that’s literally impossible and unrealistic to keep for multiple days. My country doesn’t have a lockdown so in a few weeks we’ll be going back to school and I’M SO CONFUSED ABOUT HOW TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK GOOD WHEN I’M REALLY ACTIVE (since I workout) so it’s just a struggle for me to maintain definition with an active routine like mine, also the weather here is so humid and hot! So if you have any tips for my problem please make a video about it! + you’re so gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️
I have to agree, by day 2 my long curls are already stretched out. I didnt have this issue when it was shorter. I'm at the gym for an hour though, also have to walk my dog for 2 hours. I wish there was way to make my curls last through all my physical activities.

This is exactly how my hair is. Same length same curl type. Only difference is I'm a natural red head. I thought there was something wrong with me because my hair will only last about 3 days depending on how careful I am with it during the week. These UA-cam videos and Instagram will have your ass fooled. So thank you for this honest ass video! Now I know it's totally normal. It's just the way it is. I watch all your videos to the point that my children know your name! Haha like "Mom, Jayme jo again!" I'm like " You know it baby!!!😉 😁👌👌😜 I've been debating whether or not I want to cut bangs because I want a change for my look. I guess I'm kind of afraid that I'm not going to like how it looks on me. But I need some kind of change. Could you possibly do a video on the pros and cons of having bangs? Ugh, I notice that with my hair getting longer, it is not keeping moisture/styles as long as it did when it was shorter. I could go two weeks with like one refresh day but now? Um, lucky to get four days w/o refreshing. If I wait two weeks to wash, and only do one refresh, my hair will cuss me all the way out.
So many of us curly girls want length but reality hits you hard when you realize length can also = drier hair (bc the oil has even more spirals, coils, and kinks to get through in order to cover your whole length), using more products, longer time spent on hair, arms more tired, bangs too long, more cleansing, more treatments, keeping a closer eye on what your porosity is doing, researching more natural hair care bc going through a whole jar of product just for a ONE protein treatment is costly-better thrown $4.00 yogurt up there and call it a day......just more T.T And if you've incorporated exercise into your life 😆😆😆you silly human, welcome to hair Hades

I dont have curls nearly like that :( but i am obsessed with a good layer that plays out like most celebs but since using extensions etc i now realize most of theirs was extensions :(

Maybe try Mel's ribbon-technique. This worked really well for me and my hair doesn't get knotted
