If you do a zig-zag part instead of a straight line, you’ll get tons of volume at the roots!😄 I tried it this weekend and it definitely works.🖤✨
does it look weird or can you not notice?
@@kiaradandrea5692 i think even if it’s noticeable it looks cool and cute like an intentional design.
@@Randomperson-sg8vy thanks :)

@@kiaradandrea5692 It’s not very noticeable depending on your curl pattern. It’s almost like camouflage. Especially compared to a straight line part where you can see that 100% clearly. A zig zag done while the hair is wet and before applying products helps to lift the root in a really cute cascade way. I have not had to fluff up my roots since separating my 3B curls once they dried because it’s done it’s job VERY well. I even zigzaged all the way to the back of my head to prevent the dreaded hair split mark we naturally do when applying products in sections. You don’t want a flat separated back of head and only volume in the front/sides.⚡️⚡️⚡️👌🏽😁✨
I love curly girl movement as well, they are made in the Netherlands where I am from. Really light weight products, but they work amazing on my high porosity hair
I have 2c-3a hair and this has been and still is my daily routine, I didn’t even know it was trending on tiktok? Happy to know this is working for others, it’s helped me a lot within my wavy journey (3yrs strong) 🥺💕
I tried this out on this week's wash and I LOVE it!! For sure it would be amazing for loose curls, my 2c-3a curls were so defined! I actually ditched the denman brush for months because styling with my detangling brush worked so much better, then I saw Blanca Vazquez do this in one of her videos and I had to try. Your results are beautiful!
I just started doing a version of this. I have 2b/3a with fairly straight roots. Instead of wrapping my hair around the handle of the Denman I just spiral the curl as I brush through it starting as close to the roots as possible. Fantastic spiral curls. I'll try this method too. It took me so long to get the Denman brush to work at all for me. Thrilled with the results. Yay! No more finger coiling!
The ScrunchIt Brush is made for this technique specifically, and the Curlganix Brush does this without the twisting. I'm not a fan of the Denman Brush because it flattens my roots, but this is great to enhance curl and "even out" some patterns.
Thank you so much for this comment! Never heard of any of these brushes and now I’m convinced I need them in my hair routine!
@@emeraldbeauty01 - Yes, you're welcome! I think the emphasis on products is crazy online, but not on brushes, and styling techniques with brushes. I'm glad for this video no doubt...but I wished more people expand their horizons besides the Denman D3/D4. I have personally tried over 25 brushes in the industry, and all of them leave my hair looking different from curl pattern to volume😆. I definitely suggest buying other brushes, and trying them because honestly sometimes it's not about the products you use.
Thanks a lot 🌹
Have u tried the briogeo vegan bristle boar brush? I really want to try curlganix brush but I can’t justify the international shipping 😭 so expensive - this looks similar to it? Thought I’d ask since you’ve tried to many! I’ve religiously used the denman and I have curls from the root of my head, but they never look good? It must b because of the brush! What brush did u like best for volume and root definition
sorry but you literally might be the most beautiful girl i’ve ever seen. God bless you🤎
My hair is still so short but growing thankfully. The tips actually reach my shoulders again finally 1 yr after my pixie cut! & I think 2 cuts\trims since - when its straight & i stretch the hair down (instead of kind of curved under towards my face) ao when i wanna feel like i have hair \ just enjoy it i get mine wet & comb & brush thru it. I just cant wait for it to be loooong! Longer than ever in my life!
I just washed my hair and styled it, do you have any tips to help my roots become curly because it looks uneven I have straight hair at the top and curly at the bottom. I’ve tried the denman method you displayed in this video it still didn’t work, I’m so early btw!
have a full video in this its very recent xx
Ugh same, I rlly don’t like it
Try to make thiner clumps and don't use heavy cremes and use mousse instead of gel. And cut your hair a bit if it's too long and heavy. Don't style on soaking wet but on damp hair (make sure there is enough water to get definition with no frizz, but too much water will make hair heavy and make flat top)
Short layers help a ton too but ultimately it really just comes down to your curl pattern
Layers, diffusing, for me rice water makes my roots become more curly (i personally have too soft hair, so the protein gives me more texture), plopping may help, when you do protein/olaplex/deep conditioner treatment finger coil your hair to train it, make sure to finger coil as far up as you can, use clips for root clipping. Root clipping was the game changer for me.
Hope these help💕
My hair is 3b-3c, and already does this naturally. But I think it's cool that there's a technic to get these spiral curls. Love your hair btw.
So does hers, this trick helps with training curls to sit this way after every wash for people transitioning from damaged hair to their natural hair
My hair is a combination of type 2a, 2b, and 2c, and this might be good for my wavy and looser curls. :) Though this might flatten my roots, as I have thin hair, and I prefer volume over definition. I'll give it a try with my styling brush. I can't wait to try out some of the function beauty shampoo and conditioner. :)
God bless y’all and have a great day and stay safe luvs✝️🥰🤍🌈
💜
great video jayme! for video suggestions, could you do hair growth tips ?
Yessss I am here for this video!!🔥🔥❤💪💕
My hair isnt as curly as yours, I think your hair doesnt need this. It’s already so gorgeous and has juicy curls ♥️ When I did this it was such a big difference for me. I did a video too ♥️
I have way too much hair to do this during styling but I do this exact technique during refresh. I just pick out any weird curls or straight frizzy ones wet them down and style in this method
Im also using the Curly girl movement products. I think you can achieve the best results if you use less milk and very much gel ☺️
I wouldnt have the patience for that. But i want to say i definitely like the longer just.. less volumized look u had going on. Some people cant pull that off. Its kind of the concept i was asking about earlier lol.
For my hair pattern finger coiling would do the exact same thing 😂 all I do is wash condition hydrating botanical gel and finger twist each curl. I have an undercut pixie so I only have to deal with the top of my head which I love. If you have short hair definitely just finger coil
yeah, think I shall give that a shot since my recent haircut :) (at a curly salon!)
I love this it’s works on me!! Thank you Jayme!
Could you make a video how to do a rutine to get less volume, please? My hair has too much volume by itself 😓😓😓
Love your hair!
I have these spirals all the time and I don’t like it. Because of it my hair doesn’t have a lot of volume. So I’m trying to find a way to style it WITHOUT the tight spirals. I have had people comment that sometimes they look like dreads because they are so tight.
trying this out very soon!
I love your videos ❤! Can you do a video on wet frizz ?
Omg Jayme is so amazingly beautiful. Love you Jayme xx ❤❤❤❤😘😘
Jayme looks so prettty so beautiful 🤩
My hair literally went from being kinda flat to looking like urs after finger coiling just wanted to say thanks lol🙏🙏❤️
Beautiful😍 thank you
When you use the co-wash to wash your hair do you apply it to your scalp only or your whole entire hair?
Only scalp
💖 Fabulous💖 perfectly defined spirals 💫 🙏🏼Thank you Jayme Jo 💕💖 is it important to have lots of slip with this technique? It doesn't seem so, but I'm not sure? Thx S
in my experience yes, your hair should have enough water and product, only because the denman brush might snag on your hair
Hi I have the exact hair type. Would you please tell me what hair defining cream and mousse do you use after washing your hair? I'm having trouble finding the best product. I've just ordered Mark Anthony Curls Cream but not sure if it's going to work well for my hair.
Omg excellent timing ,I just started styling my hair a minute ago 🤍
Love your videos sooo much
Can you do a try on everything in my closet video? hahahaha
Ahhh trying this tomorrow
My curls were ok then recently my hair just stopped working lolll idk what to do
You could be the extra Hadid sister lol! So glad I found your videos!
Although your hair is always the BOMB, I like your hair far more when you style it your own way :)
Where do u get a denmin brush
While I love this technique, it flattens the roots for me, no matter which direction I do it in
I agree! Mine are flatter than usual
@@jaymejo does this work on tighter curls (3c)? I tried finger rolling and my curls came out like weird tight rolls😂
I have 3a curls with some 2c lodged in there, but my hair is really thin genetically, is there any tips on how to get thicker and more full hair or is there nothing at all I can do??
i just bought new hair products, lets try this one out x
Do u ever just try to style ur hair so that it lays long & flatter like when it is wet but w out straightening it entirely? Weird question, i know.
You mean, less volume? Straight roots?
My hair does that if I brush it straight right after the shower. It dries into wavy, loose and flat strands, even though my hair is as curly as hers is, and about twice the amount on her head. So I think I get what you mean. Curly hair is quite odd for the way it behaves, but it’s beautiful
Hey I had a question what if my hair gets dry super easily and gets wet after a while and has both some aspects about low porosity and high porosity?
you might have normal/medium porosity
Que linda 😍❤️
You’re gorgeous
my hair always gets so frizzy when I scrunch it with my gel/mousse and i dont understand why :(
Have you tried plopping?
@@jaymejo I have not! I see people do it all the time, but I’ve never done it myself. Maybe I’ll give it a try next wash day!
Those spirals are my natural curls
I am pretty sure this is how Alexa's curls uses her denman brush
My hair would get stuck... what now?
SHINE
We can just use our curling iron
i want ur hair so badly
Hi!
I
Love
The demone
I miss you
I've just watched the first curl and I'm already quitting. Hell no, that's a lot of work...A lot of work to style it while wet and a lot of work after it dries. Nope, nope.
❤❤
Idk my curls naturally look like those spirals with a regular hair brush
Is that the milk to drink 😂😂😂😂😂
Pleaaaaseee translate ur vids to Arabic pleaseee ❤
When u don’t have the brush or the money to buy it
i think you can just finger roll your hair to get the same exact results as well.
Don't scrunch it 😭
Why?
That stupid tweezerman Pulls out my hair and ist f‘ing hurts. Can‘t recommend it!!!
SLOW DOWN
You speak TOO fast and I can’t understand the products you are using.
Very frustrating
she put her products in the description.
