2023 Compass does get the 2.0 Turbo as its only engine in all trims. The reason I'm looking at the 2022 reviews is to see opinions on just how bad the 2.4 tuning is. There's a big rebate on the Compass in California for February of $4,000 on the leftover 2022 Latitude 4WD models.
Thanks for watching. I’ve driven the 2023 with the 2.0. If the rebate were 2k, I’d say got with the 23 because the 2.0 is a big improvement. 4k, that’s a harder decision to go with the 2.0 and I’d probably go with the 2.4.
@@Revmatchmedia A dealer in Sacramento has six 4WD Latitudes with the convenience package and power seat that had an MSRP of $35,000 now going for $28,000 after the rebate and a dealer discount. I haven't seen a deal close to that in these times on a new small crossover.
I have a loaded ‘19 Limited High Altitude 4x4 and your feelings for the drivetrain are spot on! Very frustrating coming from a V8 Grand Cherokee. Everything else about the Compass is great from how it looks and how it handles snow and bad weather. My wife don’t mind though it’s hers, I rather drive my Wrangler.
Thanks for watching and validating my findings! I really wanted to like the Compass but was let down. My wife said she’d rather go with the Wrangler 4xe which we loved so much!
It has hill hold, it’s easy to connect on and off in the vehicle setting. The tiles in the dashboard are fully customizable, just press ok and wait a then you can do whatever you prefer. Love mine ‘21 new model, I’m Europe, with the 1.3 turbo.nd
Thanks for watching. I was wanting brake hold where you let off the pedal in traffic and the brakes are still on, not necessarily the hill hold. I wish we had the 1.3 turbo in the US because the 2.4L wasn’t the best.
@@Revmatchmedia PS. mine has brake hold (meaning: it keeps the breaks on from a standstill, and lets go only with some acceleration). Try to search in the settings (or look it up on the manual). Thanks. Be safe!
@@Revmatchmedia The 1.3 turbo is more then enough for the compass. And mine (with 1700 kms on the clock) is doing about 30 miles to the gallon (7,5/8 L/100kms).
Ok so I did some research and downloaded the manual. I do see the auto hold section and it says "if equipped". I went to the pictures I took of the interior and found that where the button should be, the press vehicle had a blank plate where the button should be. I added the link below. Not sure why it isn't included when it already has an electronic parking brake. images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cafdb14fb22a5285e179bdb/1648591285339-KTS8G89I6GNHYOWYHZU8/2021+Jeep+Compass+Limited-14.jpg?format=2500w
We don't get the 1.3 turbo in the US and that 2.4L non turbo is really bad with power delivery. Apparently we're supposed to be getting the 1.3 soon so maybe I'll get to enjoy the next Compass I review.
It does actually tell you how much mileage is left on a tank of gas. Refer to the "range" value at the 11:14 mark on the left of the screen.

Thank's man, great video. Warm greatings from Croatia !
Thanks for watching all the way from Croatia!
Much better car than the Wrangler!
For noise it is. Everything else, I'll suffer through the noise and go with the Wrangler lol
Awesome video, thank you for posting!!
Is it normal for the plastic in between the two seats to squeak a lot as you lean against it when you turn??
I don’t recall this having a squeak. I tried finding it in the video but couldn’t. Could you let me know if a time in the video you heard it?
