I don't get why companies will do gorgeous led turn signals on the front then little halogen ones on the back. I'm probably the only person annoyed by that though

You can make them LED. However, you need to make sure the LED aftermarkets draw the same amount of current (amperage) as the halogens.

Why does everybody complains about Stellantis ownership of lots of brands? We’ve owned a lot of FCA/Stellantis cars,m (myself I owned Fiat, Jeep and Alfas) I rented a RAM, (they now own GM’s Opel, Peugeot, Citroen etc) and I have to say that my wife’s Renegade (2017) , as the 500 and 500x she owned prior didn’t have a single issue whatsoever. They drive every single day and no problems. I use to own a Series 1 (and a series 2 (218d)) BMW and most of the time they lives in the shop, for suspension, drive train (the s2) and the automatic gearbox (the 118d). I also had problems with my Passat Station regarding the timing of the engine in the middle of summer vacations (I had to get a replacement car for the summer). So much so that I bought another Jeep (Compass limited 22) for my self. It’s not a “internet/never owned/talking about how crappy Fiat were 20 years ago” kind of comment, it a real personal experience comment based on real life. No car is bulletproof (nowadays) but in my experience, later Jeeps have been absolutely reliable and a great trustworthy companion on my many trips of hundreds of kms in the Iberian Península. Hope everybody has the same experience and real hope people stop bashing on Jeep (the are much better quality then they were back in the day - does anybody remember the compass mk1?). No brand survives alone, and in order for RAM, Jeep etc to survive and be competitive it needs to join there expertise with the industrial capabilities and management strategies of big business experience. It’s still Jeep the way Mini is still Mini, and Citroen, Alfa etc are still different and have there own personality. The worst case is that o VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat etc that share almost everything between them. At least Jeep is “Jeep” in the core. Every component of Jeep (etc) and of most of the manufacturers are supplied by 2 or 3 main parts, components and accessories manufacturers (Mopar, Bosch etc) so that a big part of components are the same, with different branding. I can only say good things about my Jeep Compass (with the 1363cc turbo it sells with in Europe). It’s a high quality solid product. It’s not a Bentley for sure, but it’s more then enough. The materials are really nice (for the price point and the class) and the tech is top!

As a Jeep enthusiast, I like the Compass. It mixes entry luxury with mainstream, with features that are unavailable in the class on the top end models. That also helps to drive the price up. Which wouldn't be an issue...if Jeep would get rid of the tired 2.4 and make the 2.0T standard for the high end trims. It would be an easier pill to swallow.
Most buyers at $37K would just get a Cherokee Limited and/or Trailhawk that has more power and slightly more room.

I know for the 2022 Model year in the Renegade the 2.4l is no longer available the 1.3l Turbo is now the standard engine across the board so most likely the 2023 Compass will get the 1.3l as the base engine and the new 1.5l which is rumored to be coming soon, just as soon as Alfa gets off their bums and releases the Tonale which is a derivative of the Renegade and Compass platform.

    • @jjchockey

We purchased this car new in September 22 and it has been a lemon from the start. Airbags didn't work in bad car accident. We were hit at Approx. 70-80kmh hour whilst stationary aon Hastings River rd Port Macquarie. My wife and I sustained injuries with chronic whiplash and other muscular and joint damage.
Additional issues, one being in the first 2weeks of owning this new Jeep Compass limited the paint was peeling off the front bumper bar, the touch screen was faulty, with maps constantly dropping out, app menu freezing and the car was getting increasingly harder to start.
I would not recommend a Jeep to anyone as to book in for a service with local Port Macquarie dealer takes about 6 weeks.

@@JayyTee93 Sure, but they are a bit more pricey lol. I was looking at a BMW X3, but until I made a decision it sold. But, the Jeep Limited feels close to what I liked in the X3. In some ways I like it more.

They finally did something about it for 2023. The 2.0 Turbo replaces the 2.4 for all trim levels and the 9 speed auto was replaced with an 8 speed. I've watched a few reviews and they've all praised the change.

Its a jeep only in name folks. This is the Ford escort of jeeps... actually the escort was a better buy. These things are Lemons waiting to happen, but at your own risk. Advice: go talk to any mechanic... they can give you an ear full about this cars numerous short comings that will empty your wallet once that bumper to bumper expires.

It’s awful. I don’t know where they spent the money but it felt like they didn’t invest it in the right places. I test drove the Limited last week. The drive was flat and lifeless, the leather was cheap and on the steering wheel it was vinyl, felt bad on your hands. Loads of bits borrowed from cheaper Fiat models. The uConnect infotainment is complicated and cluttered. And the TFT digital display looks like a throwback to screens 20 years ago. Pixelated and slow. I had such high hopes, wanted to love it, absolutely hated it.
