For those of you in the US, you will witness an incredible event if you see Polly and her band on this tour. The show in September was probably the best gig I have ever attended. I'm 53, and have been going to shows since I was 15. You lucky people!
I was too ill to see PJ last September, and listening to her has been bittersweet since. I’m hoping to see her this August, if I’m lucky to make it in one piece.
No Words can say it PJ! Your music is an adventure! That is the best I can do! My Golden Labrador (Hendry) was born in Bruton 1968. I was at Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm! At 77 I,m very Changed!...Being a bit silly...You could have been Syd Barret!...PJ! You are not rid of me!....LA5 9RA Warton Lancaster
Love this 2 chord riff. A masterpiece. The poetry is starting to make sense (small right brain here). Polly's voice, as always, transports me to another place.
Genius as always. There are aspects of this song that would not have been out of place on "Dry". Simplicity and elegance over a challenging and allusive theme. That is PJ Harvey for 30 years.
24 years old and have become a fan of PJ over the recent months. Every album is different, and well performed live. I much prefer her music over whatever plays on the radio today. Ive watched many of her lives on UA-cam and man i wish i was able to travel in time to watch her in the 90s and 2000s and even today. Stories from the city, stories from the sea, to bring you my love, Rid of me, Let england shake and i inside the old year dying are just masterpieces, hell all of her albums are masterpieces, just those i listen to the most. She is very lovely and intelligent as is the band whoever she plays with. I need to get a copy of her book Orlam. She is equally just as good at poetry.
@@Radowitzki the way her voice goes deep in “i think im a mother” and “Teclo” to higher pitched in “cmon billy” and “send his love to me” is just ear candy and raw power and raw vocal range. Her collaborations with the likes of aJohn parish and her collaboration and the man himself from the birthday party Nick cave on the track Henry Lee, and even Mick Harvey on let england shake are fantastic
Congratulations on becoming a Pj fan. She has a quite big back catalogue so you will have many hours of enjoyment listening to it all.But welcome aboard the good ship Pj.
Also started the PJ journey with Dry. I thought it was so raw...then she peeled my skin back with Rid Of Me...then took it up another 3 twists with 4 track demos. This woman is indeed a force of nature, and still has the ability to pull the animal in me forward
Polly making incredible music as always. This just sounds how music is supposed to be recorded, not digital, not isolated tracks but actual real music. The film too looks like film not digital, wonderful
Absolute Genius!! This woman is the 'magic dust' sprinkled all over the music she makes. Original, beautiful, fragile yet strong and sincere. 'I inside the old year dying' from which this is from, is an extremely extraordinary poignant work special and totally absorbing. To have an artist of this calibre currently performing and delivering makes us appreciaters very lucky indeed!! 👏 Thank you Polly 🫡
Always enjoyed PJ's music so was delighted when this popped up in my recommended videos...and then to get the added surprising great pleasure of seeing Ruth Wilson (after just binge watching the 3rd season of His Dark Materials) who I would watch in anything, including just running endlessly across a field. Actually, reminded me very much of her mesmerizing performance in "Dark River."
This is one of my favorite songs from the album! It instantly gave me a Broadcast sort of vibe and got me thinking... It would be beyond believe if PJ had a side project with the surviving members of Broadcast, reunited Broadcast with her singing or they did a live set together to honor Trish Keenan. Who else is with me on this one??
I have not been able to see a concert but watch them. I love her adaptability. Every album is different. She is a great artist to be sure. I once responded to a response on youtube on one of her videos and got a response. I regret dismissing it. I thought it a prank.
First heard P J Harvey on Mark n Lards radio1 show, out on blue 6 ages ago and she never dissapoints. She's always done her thing and her music is just as good now as it ever was👍❤
The greatest artist of my lifetime.

That's called maturity in music.
Here to say I LOVE RUTH WILSON.
I love PJ also. But..... massive props to PJ for having the most fantastic actress in the world in her video ❤
Pj, your writing is so beautiful.
I was too ill to see PJ last September, and listening to her has been bittersweet since. I’m hoping to see her this August, if I’m lucky to make it in one piece.
Great casting for a PJ Harvey song. Ruth is able to conjure that same tormented intellectual desired beauty vibe as Polly.
Ruth Wilson burns with the same intensity that PJ Harvey does.

How, how is she do it? All the effing time she makes something fresh that I fell in love again

How WONDERFUL to see younger generation discovering her!!
This song is a Spell ♥️

Just a bit.
Listen to noiseless noise from this album, that one goes pretty hard with all those crashing walls of sound.
PJ! So nice to see you pop up in my feed. ❤

I feel great influence of the Doors
Was trying to figure it out.. as well, I hear something along the lines of a Doors feel, in this song. Cool imo :) Love PJHarvey❣🎶

Reminiscent of the Crowded Cell video. Love PJ, managed to see her in Barrowlands. She and her band were incredible.
Gives me a sprinkle of Smoke Fairies vibes, nothing at all wrong with that ❤
Ruth Wilson 🥰💞 Cannot wait for this! 🎶
Great actor

What a marvellous song ✨
The music is obviously good, but Ruth Wilson’s running form in walking boots is just wonderful.
Piece with a familiar flavor.
Very lovely indeed as for the vocal melody.👍
I'm still in love!

I love you so much! This song is amazing!
Brilliant song, & great video that harks back to the movie Dark River.
Ruth can't half move! Very effective - similar to The Crowded Cell video of a young boy running (The Virtues).
