    Tip: Use the light of your phone when it is connected to the quad lock mount. The light of my iPhone works well at night as an additional light.

    I e bad my cowboy 4 (classic) for 2 years now. To be honest i didnt expect it to be as good and last as well as it has. It still doesnt make any noises, feels solid and battery still lasts as long as when new ! Ive literally have only changed the brake pads (twice) and one new tyre. The only thing id change is id prefer the cruiser ride position. That will be by next bike i think.

      I honestly love my Cruiser. Couldn’t get on with the Classic riding position.
      Btw keep an eye on Cowboy’s media channels tomorrow (March 20) for an exciting announcement 😏😏😏

    I really hope they fix the lights in a new version. Rear light should be as much to the back as possible (on the rear fender ideally), and front light should absolutely be better and turn with the steering angle. With the current version, once you turn a corner, the light will not follow into the curve.

      Agree. I can heartily recommend the BBB Nanostrike 400/600 though.

    Very nice video! Really well explained, I can totally support most of your points except for the paint quality. In my experience it’s not that nice on a Cowboy bike.

    • @danmoof
      @danmoof  5 місяців тому

      Thanks! I think the paint comment is fair, although I can only speak from my own experience. Worth noting: this review bike was manufactured 02-12-2023, so one of the very newest frames.

    Great video, thanks Dan.
    I have a Vanmoof S5, great bike. I did look at Cowboy before buying the Vanmoof, ironically when looking into the history of the owner seeing that he’d gone bust a couple of times turn me away from Cowboy. Well you just don’t know what’s around the corner 😂. I agree about the front lamp. I cycle country lanes in the UK. At night the Vanmoof is great, though I do have a second lamp on the handle bar making cornering safer, we have many potholes to avoid.
    I’d be very interested in your mountain bike review. I’m planning to buy a second e-bike for off road use, though I am fussy in what I’m looking for 😂.
    You may be able to help me. I’m in need of a E-shifter for my S5. Do you know anywhere in the Netherlands where I could buy one?

    • @danmoof
      @danmoof  5 місяців тому

      Hi Frank, thanks for your comment. I loved my S5 as well, and did the same as you; the front light was fine for city riding at 25km/h, but I had a Lezyne for dark roads. Stay tuned for my Specialized Turbo Tero 5.0 review; short heads-up, it's a big, powerful, indestructible, easily maintained off-roader with looks that only a mother could love, that's the polar opposite of a VanMoof in practically every way ;)

    Thanks for the review. Really helpful. Currently torn between the Cowboy Cruiser and the Tenways CGO009 - mainly due to the price difference between them. Tenways about £2050, Cowboy with performance/connectivity spec about £2800. Do you have any insight as to whether it's worth the significany extra expenditure?

    • @danmoof
      @danmoof  21 день тому

      I think there are some deals on the Cowboy at the moment; you can use VANMOOFERS250 to get £250 off, bringing it to £2.430 (Cruiser/Classic with Performance pack). At that price, I'd go for the Cowboy. At full price, the Tenways is a solid alternative option.
      If you like the look of the Cross, you can use VANMOOFERS150 to get £150 off that too, but it's a much more expensive proposition overall.

    Will you be reviewing the Cross? The torque (Nm) and lack of gearing concerns me living in a hilly area. Is it not concerning that the torque remains the same on the Cross?

    • @danmoof
      @danmoof  2 місяці тому +1

      Definitely; I have a review unit on order. I already rode it last month at the press preview event, the torque is fine for flat roads, it didn’t feel underpowered. Might be an issue for hills or strong headwinds.

    Dan,
    I’m 169cm tall, do you think I’d be ok with the standard cruiser vs cruiser ST? Does 1cm difference really make a big impact?

    • @danmoof
      @danmoof  21 день тому +1

      Honestly I think you'd be ok. Worth getting a test ride though.

    Can you tell me if it is possible to use this bike without adaptive power? So how will it bike when battery is empty for example?

    • @danmoof
      @danmoof  21 день тому

      You can use without adaptive power (I ride mine in Eco) with no problems. You can also ride in full manual mode with power off; it's possible, but then it's just a heavy single speed bike. On the flat with no headwind, it's not a bad ride.

    what the hell is going on with that fork , stem and handle bar? its all in one piece?

    • @danmoof

      Stem and handlebar is all one piece. Joined to the fork via a separate downtube (secured with 2 Allen screws) with internal wiring and hydraulics
