Not every zealot is smooth brained dogshit. Blame fatshark for vastly overtuning dueling sword. Other weapons need the same pen power and damage on hit with its heavies to remotely compete at the same capacity. Either they need to reel it back, or take a look ar why dueling sword is so prominent and superior. Are other weapons just bad? Is armored enemies the main problem? Is it hit mass? Crit rate? Finesse? There's massive outliers somewhere that are causing these disparities.

You know what i'm betting they do with Ogryn? I bet they make it worse just because of how they've treated ogryn so far. I can only assume at this point Ogryn exists just for the devs to let out frustration and punish their players while making the other 3 classes fucking cracked in every way. We have the shortest buffs, the same speed as the asthmatic space wizard even tho we have a gate as large as a human is tall we have the shittiest crit even tho we're the strongest in lore capable of rivaling a space marine in strength... Its just so disheartening cause i've been maining the big guy since launch and i'm contemplating giving up on him as every match i go into now theres always some fucking Vet or Zealot that takes most of my kills by the time i'm done charging my heavy attack being its the only part of the skill tree that even works for shit. I don't understand why they couldn't just copy a bunch of Bardin's skills from vermintide and just bring them to the Ogryn i feel like that'd fix so much.

Keep in mind that ogryn is still playable at a high level. He demands more of a vermentide skillset I'd say of really mastering the fundamentals of melee and positioning. People do auric maelstrom duos and such with ogryns. Ogryn's the weakest currently but you can still do all of the hardest content and you can easily shit on 99.99% of the people you find in random lobbies if you practice enough. Try to not let the easy mode builds ruin your enjoyment. They will likely get nerfed eventually. I remember ranged meta from v2 and how much it hurt my enjoyment of the game so I can definitely understand the fristration though

It's so disappointing how Fatshark has treated this class since the release, only using us as promotional material more than anything else I feel. I have been running box for a while to access both batter and soften, and more importantly in a way for my build, his 2 largest toughness boosting nodes. I've been playing what I call immortal bully club ogryn for a bit and boy, between those suggestions giving me like minimum 3 more points at the bottom due to going cross tree and let's me bring nukes or rock..... Like it's specific but could be fun, though I suspect we'll see a larger rearrangement to the core structure.
I think after this update they should focus on a couple new guns. Melta gun, plasma pistol, grenade launcher maybe, holy pistols, hot shot las guns, autocanons maybe, these all interesting ideas I think
Adding the Captain attacks in normal missions reminds of of when the special assignment started and the Karnac twins would have a chance to come in and fight you... That was very enjoyable so this will be a welcome addition to the game, even if it is only for HAvoc mode
