@MarkD770 the fall of 2014, my folks hired a dirt crew to clear the old cow yard out for a new freestall barn they built, they brought in a pretty nice D8 for the job.
This Heavy duty heavy construction D-8 Can do it all and now you don't need two people shooting grade for you anytime because now I can get my signal from the satellite location of wear I am and keeping me on Grade with my GPS for a smooth finish. So if you're interested on getting your hands on one of this then you will have to have years of experience to operate and maintaining control at al times and the most one of all is To keeping your eyes open and your ears listening for that Backup alarm to be working properly on any given day. I'm ready to move forward to getting on one again.
Awesome machine !! I’ve never operated anything bigger than a 6. Would so love to get some seat time in an 8 or bigger. Caterpillar.....there is no substitute.
That dude, running that tractor in reverse in third gear and hitting that big rock he needs to be fired or taken off of that dozer!! Good help is hard to find nowadays for real. There are no good operators anymore
I love the 3rd gear reverse right over a huge rock!
Sweet find. Love the D8’s
Dude 3rd gear is slapping the life outta them chains and sprockets..
Nice find! I need to get more of the D8 dozers on film but can't find a lot of them.
Thanks! They are hard to find around here. I made sure to take a lot of videos of the one working here. Never know when another will pop up!
@@Engine201 Yep, I know what you mean.
That dozer is a beast.
Just think how much of a beast it would be if some cheapskate maintenance person would keep good grousers on it!!!
Had a D8R do dirt work once at home, the backup alarm sounded totally different.
You owned a D8R ? ❤

Pains me to see that guy running in 3rd gear reverse
These guys beat their equipment up and don’t care
Probably he is being pushed to produce. I would think that company is getting paid by the yard, they want the dirt moved yesterday!
@@Engine201 I would agree with you, look at the grousers on that machine, letting it go that long, sickening!!!
I hear you. Only an operator or person experienced in operating machines will know what you mean🤦♂️
That's the difference in a operator and a driver ... you can make production without beating shit up!
i liked the 8 myself but the 10 was a love affair
