I have to say the D8H and the D10 were my favorites, except that the D9T had a backup camera👍🤔 ran all kinds 46 years, ready to head for the job Tomorrow😊😊😊
Top operator Water irrigation!! Definitely water suppression and ground stability benefits The air filters are the biggest winner.. Love watching the dozers would love to be able to operate one for a few weeks..
I ran D9L 12/7 for 6 months straight than 6 months off. Mined first strip muskgage doemn to gravel. Than gravel to gold bearing materials. Muskgage was hard. Most operators stayed stuck. Or got the 9 stuck two three times a day. There are tricks. You can keep water behind you. Fill your blade fast and lift it on to your winroe than you are pushing on drier dirt. When you push out. Don't lift your blade when backing up. If you do you stand on your nose always trying to climb up hill backwards. Never try to dry a hole with dry dirt. It just makes more mud. Rocks can float. I operated big excavator in it also. Moved over the years many valleys of dirt. Retired now. Oh the D8N was there. One D9 blade of dirt is 3 D8 blades of dirt. Could break D8 in a day doing the harder work.
Man I miss those days, guess I kinda lucked out being universal from a loader, 977L, or 977K, 6 to 8 dozer, Hine Wiener, Link Belt Koenig back Hoes, 12 grader, 935 945 cat, miss the feel, the sound, smell of diesel, between roads, pipe lines, pads for huge buildings, had a good company I worked for, you got a pick - up, time and half, double time, sunrise til dark, didn't get off to much, but I loved it. Good seeing this again. Good close up video thanks Bud, enjoyed
Robert Kinholt, I had not heard the brand Hein Werner in many years. I operated an old C-12 with long boom back in '76-77 ? Did basements & sewers. Those old long control sticks had boost pump on the thumb switches. Those control sticks must have been better than 3 Ft long as I recall.Foot controls too... Man, how that brings back old memories. Yea, I got rainy day pay too.Even if the weather was bad, boss always had me go figure jobs among other pen paper work. Last work I did was moved to coal and retired off U.M.W.A. Worked the first models of D-10,double stacks, that was a great dozer. Also operated CT, 14 G, 16 motor graders . CAT- 992C. Also an old 992 A model, and 400 Hough. I also worked on a Marion 201-M electric shovel 38 Yds level capacity., so it was doing well over 35 Yds as it took 3 dips to load a M-120 Lectra-Haul. .Brings back memories.
D10 makes it easy. When I was doing it, I used a D8 and I was being buried by 777s. And the material was shot rock. This guy might as well be knocking down road base. It's been a lot of years for me since then and I'm still hurting from the torture🤪.
Cute little D10, I'd love to push dirt all day. I'm a D11 T operator, it's almost a vacation day when we have dirt. Great video, keeping his lift nice and level, tracking in as he goes, good job.
Great video, just reminds me of our family visit Jan/Feb 2020 to NEW ZEALAND, they are building a new motorway through & _around the mountains in Whangarei area, North Island, we sat and for a while, fasinating to see the stages of a highway construction, KEEP UP TO GOOD WORK and WELL DONE 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My name is Osama from Algeria, I am 35 years old single, I have 14 years of experience driving a digger and bulldozer. I need a job and you have all my respect and appreciation
I knocked down a triple 7 fill for years. Had a truck every 1 1/2 mins. Building sbgrd for a leach pad in nevada and ariz. Ames constr. They don't play. And put the fill on grd with trimble. Here we go
All these armchair experts that never worked on a dirt job ! You think that Co. would spend the money for the water truck And the labor if they didn't have to !
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Jace Garrett i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I enjoyed that video! Odd thing - there's actually the same exact thing going on outside our livingroom windows in the distance on what "used" to be a hill. Big Dozers & Scrapers came in...now their doing this process..same environment too. Only difference is the dumps are articulated.
Awesome video bro i operate one of those beast open cut mine backfill every lift we use a water for compaction helps with blowouts/put holes/punchouts with heavy haul trucks we get them to wheel roll comes up solid keep up the good vidz💪💯
great video, great operator work. The water is more to keep the dust down. In California, there might be a residential area 1 mile away. The residents will complain if the tractor dust reaches their home. So the water spray is to limit the dust. It takes a lot of water for compaction.
Operated one for 15 yrs, stripping coal, loved that tractor, known for bad engines though, never liked the D9's they called D10's after switching track frames, just not the same!!!
I just have a feeling some body is going to come up with a better clanking, grinding noise.Thank you great video thumbs up for all .till then keep smiling with lol politely and healthy safely grinding, clanking.
Looks like where I like In Elsinore California. Scraggly brush, dry and nothing to see even if you had a view lol. Nm, just noticed it's corona... about 20 minutes away, no wonder it looks like it. I was local 12 back when they started developing Rancho California (Exotic way to say temecula lol) Busting my kidneys driving a watertruck lol.
@Infandous Ktenology I never run a dozer in my life (unfortunately) but i have done the Proctor Test to check the amount of water for ideal compaction... obviously it's a very theorical test because how can you put the right amount of water in a real operation ?
I think this man has spent a few hours sitting in the seat he is doing a remarkable job he's easy on the machine but he's making it do what it's supposed to do too LOL
I used to operate 7 different types of equipment and this is one of them, and I can say the guy in that dozer is good to the point where he shouldn't be back blading his fill spread.
Track links are sealed, the idlers and boogie rollers are sealed oil bath. They only thing that accepts grease is the track tensioners. Go lost to an excavator on a long move after not moving for a few months, brutal noise.
Pushing easy on 2nd gear the whole time unless he gets full blade. You can keep your push smoother that way. Not work your machine as hard but get done quicker with a little smaller blade of dirt.
Make no mistake tho i sure wished i had a 10 with 777s. You had enough time with a 8t to make 3 short pushes and leave a 4 ft berm up. Busy all damn shift. Damn trucks anyway lol
The worst thing you can do to those dozers is put it from reverse to drive without coming to a full stop and drive to reverse that is very hard on those $80,000 Transmissions
Awesome Dozer , but I can’t figure out what this guy is doing in the water truck? Shouldn’t he be out spraying water on the road to keep the dust down? Hmm I guess he wants to hang up there with the Cool Cats . 😂

I could sit here and watch this all day. Crazy as it seems relaxing. Whoever it is running the 10 is a hell of a operator.
Having been a dozer operator for over 20+ years (retired) video has brought back many job memories. Excellent quality video, great job.
I love the cat you got a yellow one at home

Having fun with big toys, playing in the rain, all AC now, nice work..
I haven't been this relaxed in years, great video!
Absolutely. This video is like rain on a tin roof. RELAXING!!!!
I’m so jealous I haven’t operated in 42 years. The D10 would have been Awesome to operate. The 9 was the biggest.
dont forget the D11
Water for compacting, shuh. CARB steps in "let's keep the dust down!" Watch out for snail darters.
Love watching the big Kitties play!
All these armchair experts that never worked on a dirt job !
You think that Co. would spend the money for the water truck
And the labor if they didn't have to !
Yep, all it takes is a little dust on the mayors Cadillac hahaha.
True, there are drivers and screwdrivers, or drivers and drovers
Could watch this all day.
This D10T beautifully I can see the energy on this pretty machine 👍👍👍
I am an admirer of dozer tractors, their power and usefulness are admirable
Thank you for the work of filming excellent video 📹
They're trying to get the right moisture mixed into the compaction.
Good video , and seems to be well maintained equipment.

@Jace Garrett It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much you really help me out!
@Memphis Spencer Happy to help xD
Good video, material is easy to work with, and the guys on the tanker doing a good job 👍🏾
Is the tanker there for dust control or ... ?
Doesn’t look like California is quite out of water yet!
They're getting all that Colorado water for free, that needs to be changed
I AM THE STRNTRONGET BULLZODER IN MAKINDE. I AM SMARTERS AND STYRONGERES LIKE A NUKLERO SUBMAROIES!
Guy in the water truck has the best gig his back isn't getting compacted all day.
You ever spent all day on a water hose? 🤨

looks like a fun job ... mind if i ask what it pays?

Nice job, trucks coming nice and steady, just how I used to like it!

This dozer is totally awesome right there 😊now thats what i call getting stuff done 😊

@@Species5008 It's basically any residential area. Az has that same code, can't move dirt without spraying it.
I move dirt in ca... water is for compaction first dust second.... all are fill gets tested with a nuke for compaction and moisture

The D10 makes quick work of those huge dumped loads. That's what it is about.
A 10 is kind of overkill for 777s, but definitely nice luxury to have.
Def over kill. I run d9l with Euclid 170 ton trucks.
Last time I ran a D10, I had 793’s dumping to me. Those piles seemed to bury me. Lol. Loved when I got to use the D11’s on the fill.
my dream. before I drive a ferrari, i would like this
Me encantan estos vídeos porque yo operario de estos tipos de maquinaria de la construcción durante 50 años. Saludos desde Colombia...
what are they trying to build
Great video....good dust control
it's not dust control bro, they want to have a good moisture for sol compaction
…. Отличная машина, без такой техники на севере России не обойтись …
I'd love to see a days-worth of this, time-lapsed into a 5-10 minute video- you'd really be able to see terra-forming happening as you watch. :)

Hard occupation. Not easy. To much responsibility and accurate. Was my kind of skill and work. Proud that I was (825 operator almost 36 years).
You have a big dozer! Push more than a quarter of the pile.
I think it’s to keep the dust down. By far the squeaking rattling giving me a headache. Like to watch through ⚓️👍😂 great video,

Meticulous operator!
Who else on the water tanker would have drowned the camera man for a laugh !!? Lol
The guy on our water truck used to "accidentally" spray people as he drove past.
Awesome kit right there!
Thought only d11's had duel exhaust.
Now this is more like it!
That water truck making me happy.
this operator is a very skilled and productive asset not a wastfull push and the vids near finished smooth shifts
Something needs greasing on that BIG CAT.
The dozer lever
Как я обожаю этот лязг и скрежет гусянок... 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great video! wish the mechanic would show up and give that squealing a shot of grease tho. thanks for posting.
dav1099 That squeaking is just the dry undercarriage. The only fix for that is mud.
Grease wouldn't help
Track links are sealed, the idlers and boogie rollers are sealed oil bath. They only thing that accepts grease is the track tensioners. Go lost to an excavator on a long move after not moving for a few months, brutal noise.
That’s a sweet sound. And mud helps the sound but can and will destroy an undercarriage.
