Thank you for the heads up on that solve . bought my M/C about 5 years ago and discarded it in a drawer because I couldnt get it to sew . recently needed to sew an edge on a roller blind and remembered I had this hand held. Got it out and looked on youtube for the answer .

Could you please do a video of what to do if it stitches, but doesn’t grab the thread at the back? (Ie, looks stitched but just pulls apart as the loops at the back are not connected to anything). I just bought one of these to make a doona cover for/with my nine year old daughter. We were so proud of ourselves, until we went to use it and found it just fell apart in big patches where the thread hadn’t been caught (which we didn’t realise when sewing it).

So HELPFUL! I was frustrated. Man... without experience in sewing machines, just bought smth to fix my working clothes, after purchasing it worked fine enough... fixed one pocket on my hard work jeans. I removed the jeans, fixed the thread there... and after that moment my hand stitcher was not picking the thread from below. I was frantic to find what I am doing wrong... is there any special way of placing thread in the needle hole or something 🤔😁 Googling the trouble, no one put any weight into this type of problem with sewing machine.. some advice to untighten the tensioncontrol .. You just opened my eyes... the needle was pushed up through the hard jeans fabric and did not go low enough. (after first use) After just lowering in down little bit it works as before

I had just commntef in yourprevious video about not stitching. This video is Godsend. Now there's another problem... There are BIG loops in the bottom part i.e. the chain😭😭😭
I also bought it some 2..3 years back and could not use it as stick was not working....today afrt watching this i did it and stiched my cloths today...so happy🙏🙏🙏😊
Yer in in the same boat, this thing was stitching with the demo cotton and material patch in it. I changed to the red cotton and now nothing stitches. I followed all the instructions to fix but still useless. It's so basic there can't be too much to change on it, but no matter what tension I set it at it just won't do the chain loop underneath. Bloody hopeless. 😫
