Once opened, my gate keeps slowly sliding itself down. All I can think is some dummy I used to be with kept manually slamming it closed despite my asking him to use the button. How do I fix this issue? It stays up and within 30 seconds is slowly down by 3 inches.
@AutoRepairTips757 thank you! I actually forgot to do this by the time I got home that day and just forgot to do it. 😆 I'm setting a reminder on my phone so I can do it tomorrow afternoon.
@@AutoRepairTips757 mine said it was already programmed. I installed it. The buttons don’t work (in car, on fob, near latch) but the outside button opens the door. (Much better than using screwdriver). However, the gate doesn’t lock which is interesting.
so i have a 2013 srx. the module was obviously ruined so i replaced it with an oem part. had it programed at a dealer ship. still didn't open. they replaced the switch in the front driver seat because they had a code. still didn't open. they then said its most likely the rear gate lock/motor. so i then replaced it. cause i was already running 700 plus dollars for that. replaced it and it stil wont' open. keep in mind that the actual lift gate/pump doesn't work. do i need it to work to simply unlock the lift gate? or should it unlock no matter what? thanks.
I'm having this issue with mine. Totally dry and I've gone through 3 modules so far that keep quitting/losing power. I have no idea what could be popping them or causing them to quit working.
Why was a handle so bad it had to be replaced with a module?🤦♂️

Good luck!

Ugh. Happen to me. I am letting it dry out. Is there anything one should do (before putting the new module back in) so that it doesn’t happen again?
it needs to be programed

Each one needs to be programmed to the car you put it in.
