There was a version of this vehicle with the TML105, the turret that used to be on the CV90105.
That would be a French premium that I actually would love to see
Close, but not quite. AMX-10RC never mounted the TML ‘Mid’ turret found on the CV90105. They only ever mounted TML ‘Early’ (which vaguely resembled the Leclerc) and TML ‘Late’ which outwardly resembled the ‘Mid’ turret, but had an added Savan 15 roof sight which stab’d the gun. The version mounted to RC also had a bit of extra mantlet armor as the mantlet sight was no longer used, and it just looks badass. I’d take either or both RC and Vextra TML Late. Can’t wait!

@@fireshadow7598 Except it wasn't lol, the reason why the CV was replaced was because the turret it used was the early one, wich wasn't stabilised, so Gaijin avoided an M60A1 Ariete situation by replacing it by another model
@@arthurbousquet6838 execpt the cv90105 had the TML late, the reason they removed it was that the cv90 never had the late model.
AMX-10RC Easily my favorite "tank" in game. Fast, good APFSDS, modern gadgets/fun gadgets at 8.0, and satisfying moving kills. I constantly up-tier it to 9.3 so I can pair it with the santal, and I find myself being top of the leaderboard frequently despite being highly out tiered.
edit: French 8.3 is really expansive too
Fun fact: the dart round is basically the same as the one used on the F4 90mm (MARS 15 gun). On paper, this AFV shouldn't amount to much but the ergonomics somehow make it a good vehicle to use. I know it's Wikipedia but the missions listed for it are surprisingly accurate to it's capabilities in-game, chief among which is "flank security". Not fast enough to flank itself, its mobility, ergonomic and usability make it deadly at ambushing flankers.
It's technically a recon tank. French doctrine is to combine fast armored vehicles with jeeps(now the VBL) as a form of scouting. The gun on the AMX-10 is not meant to be a main battle cannon either since it's primary function is to scout
Its to slow to utilizes it.
The pivot feature of the AMX is the same used on the skid loaders, and it's only used on that vehicle.
Transmissions for wheeled AFVs are nuts to made, but French are know to made "not conventional" solutions on their armored vehicles. Sometimes are ineffective, other times are very useful and for such vehicle that steering helps it a lot.
The btr does the exact same thing, what do you mean "it's only used on that vehicle."

The French did not have a system in which the gun fired when it aligned with the sight. We wish it was real, but it's not.
This myth got started by someone getting the base AMX-30 confused with the upgraded version called AMX-30 Valorisé which had the stabd commander roof sight, which was used to stab the gun.

People still don't know how stabilizers work I guess. The Leclerc and Abrams for example use a stabilized sight connected to the inputs of the main cannon which calculates the movement needed to adjust the cannon to keep it level. A directly stabilized cannon isnt done anymore since it doesn't provide as great of an effect as the stabilized camera.

That's not what he meant, and the gun still have some degree of vibration, which get worse as barrel length increase.
The beer one is demonstrating liquid will not spill out, not the glass will not fall off.
The beer has some adhesive to it iirc. Japanese tried it with wine glass and no adhesive and things doesn't end well for them.
Anyway. Shorten and have many detail left out.
Back during the early days of stabilizer, the gyro is connected directly to the gun.
We figure out pretty quickly it is pretty much pointless if the gun is the only thing that is stabilized.
So, the next step is mechanically linked the stabilized gun to the sight. So the sight is now stabilized. Problem solved!
Then we figure out this is bad news again. Why? Because gun is heavy, there is the weight of barrel and breech to move around. Your gyro can only do so much, especially if you do want a relatively cheap and robust gyro. So, maybe instead we stabilized the sight, much lighter. and instead link the gun to the sight, would that make things better?
Yes. Long story short, it is much easier to stabilized the sight, then link the gun to the sight via data/electronic signals/etc. But it has to be a non mechanical linkage to have the full potential.
This is also where the myth came from. France is the first to put such this new sight stabilizer with gun that is not mechanical linked to the gun in the market.
Basically, on most modern platform. The gun is free to move about. When the sight found their mark, the gun will use various build in data link and sensor to align itself to the position the sight told it to go to. When it get to the correct position, weapon goes hot, and stick goes boom. So, there exist a small "lag" between pressing the trigger and metal flying, but modern non mechanical linkage has very low delay, practically none.
I think T10 for example use sight stabilizer but the gun has some form of mechanical linkage. Result is the gun will always have a relatively huge "lag" relative to the sight.
And there is of course back up system that linked the gyro directly to the gun in an event the primary sight goes out of commission. But then you are back to using basically ww2 sherman stabilizer. Of course it is more precise and working parameter is not as small, but without fcs, tracking, and various sensor making adjustment, engaging target when moving is practically impossible.

My first armored vehicle in 8.0.. And I'm loving it so far. It neutral steers which is unique for this vehicle, the gun doesn't bounce too much so even without the stabilizer it can shoot fast, decent pen, has thermals, no armor best armor, and now I just learned it has pneumatic suspension?? Geez
This tank is a sniping tank as seen in the last clip, I always flank and spank with it but no stabilizer means more satisfying kills coz yk its more difficult in this tank
I like the AMX-10. I played it more as a TD than a LT but still a nice tank. Reload and no stabilizer can get you caught out thou. Still a nice vehicle; I need to play it more.
This tank is a gem to play, easily one of my favorites.
You need to abuse the suspension more though, with max forward tilt the gun depression is around -30°. You'll have the barest turret face peeking at any time so you're a tiny target to spot, let alone hit, especially when played at long ranges.
You are correct in your statement about its amphibious abilities, or lack there of ahaha.

Oh wow I just checked this out, didn't know France had this.
Actually has a bit of armor, on top of the layout this could actually be a really good brawler.
The APFSDS has some good weight to it, the armor looks like it will eat volumetric for breakfast. The only thing missing is some missiles, but damn even the WMA doesn't have this kind of power.
Hope we get even better French light vehicles in the near future 😃, mainly so I don’t have to uptier this thing to 11.0 (now 11.3). Although it’s still pretty good in massive uptiers
Half the reason I started playing France was for this thing. I love little scout vehicles with competent full caliber guns and I really like playing 8.3/8.7
There’s an upgrade kit that the French have for this tank that gives it a stabe and some other things I wonder if they will ever add it to this tank or a new amx-10 with it
No upgrade kit ever granted a stabiliser just addon armor, a jammer type APS and maybe new thermal/ammo, the TML105 prototype does however have a stabilized turret

The derendering thing has something to do with easy anti cheat and whatever system gaijin uses in tandem. Funnily enough doesn’t actually affect real cheaters and their system sees right thru it. So it only detriments real players and gaijin has refused to acknowledge the issue. Pretty sure it has something to do with the performance issues gaijin hasn’t fixed with the anti cheat
Game dev here. Derendering is most likely caused by net code/desync combined with occlusion culling. Anti cheat? Doubt since most online cheats use grabbing info either from memory or snaching packets as their arrive. Client still need to receive where all entities in game are as server sees it. Just making some clinets not receive say info about half of the players in a match and then start to receive it. Cant even imagine the headache, loop holes and problems to even implement it.
Occlusion culling on the other hand is designed to improve performance by hiding objects that are behind other objects (since the name). Combine server issues with it and ta dah! Disapearing tanks.
@@kryperdev diference is that gajgin had an internal leak of code and ect and that allowed cheaters to. Make cheats that are undetectable and so the DERENDERING IS in game IMPLEMENTED TO sort of fix the cheaters according to devs of wt because they don t know how to fix it otherwise because war thunder has spaghety code wich is really complicated

AMX-10RC doesn't get the APFSDS from the AMX-30B2 because the gun is a medium pressure one. They selected it because the recoil on the AMX-30 gun was too strong for the AMX-10RC and therefore, it's not compatible with other 105mm shells including the NATO ones. It was later planned to upgrade it with a high pressure gun, but it was abandonned because of lack of funds.
16:44 I love the T55E1 American Go Kart, but the wheels are so painful. A single hit or a couple MGs to them, two get damaged a lot or destroyed, and suddenly you can't move *at all*, despite having six functioning wheels you're glued to the ground as if you're tracked and you can't get back into cover. It's really annoying.
There should be a gunner skill that would stabilize the gun a little in vehicles that don't have that feature

The arcade stat of "visibility" with the percentages, where Chinese and Soviet vehicles have a lower visibility than literally anything yeah? That is part of what makes them de-render with the de-render to prevent low end PCs from seeing through things mechanic. They forgot to mention that on the patch.

What’s funnier is how they changed the traction on ice….I hit the frozen lake on Poland I believe in my t80 at full speed and then proceeded to Tokyo drift edition as soon as I attempted to turn and had to counter steer to maintain course😂😂😂
This thing slapped before the traction buff. Also snow Polands traction is so broken. I swear it's super speed snow. Even an M113 chassis easily does 65kph weirdly

Last game was awesome, a flawless victory but damn is this thing bad still imo, I can see why people hate it so much. When I start playing the French (mainly for the top tier stuff as most people) this is one thing I'm never touching.
Personnally it’s by far one of my most loved ones: for real this Ytber is bad at playing the AMX10RC, it’s really special to use but once you know how to use it it’s incredib’e

It's an incredible vehicle but there is a big chance ukrain will not use it has it should be use, it's not a tank. They loose a lot of them and simply stop using it.

Also wheeled vehicle having low gun depression have more to with their turret roof height clearance to the gun breech. You look at how big the gun breech of this wheeled tank in real life then look at how high the turret roof is, then you'll notice why the AMX-10RC has that gun depression
