It is the only mouse that is ergonomic, has extra buttons, is lightweight and wireless. Aerox 5 is worse, after a week of using it, the entire encoder broke, and after a month, pressures on the wheel began to be poorly registered, and the mouse does not support recording macros in the internal memory, the software is generally terrible. When the glorious model I still works out of the box, the software is much better. Although it also has its problems but i use it once for set up my profile and newer turn on again. The possibility of recording two functions on one button in glorious is a killer feature for me. And the first set up for me is necessary on any mouse because most of the time I work on it and I have specific macros on each key, no other manufacturer can't do this out of the box.
I’m probably still gonna buy it, there isn’t anything with the same side button layout with it being as light as the model I 2. In all honesty I don’t think the glitchy software and the side button setup is enough to recommend someone to avoid it. It’s a minor inconvenience for maybe 10minutes AT MOST. I also think saying “I HAVE to download the software so I don’t recommend it” is also a terrible argument. You are just wasting money by not taking advantage of the software if you plan to just use it out of the box (like any other mouse ie Logitech, razor etc). The one piece of scrutiny I can agree with is the faulty left click. Glorious mouse quality has always been questionable but I have looked past it because of the price.
If this mouse came out in 2016 I would of adored this, I had the same issue with the clicks on my black model D wired you had I would have to pull the trigger up and push it back in someone mentioned a tape fix but I just moved on, series one pro is super nice other than that meh unless you still are on a G502.
Dude, this is simultaneously the best and the worst review I've ever seen. Thanks for actually going into detail about everything, but MY DEAR GOD are you a primadonna, holy shit. Literally none of the shit you've mentioned is an issue worth fussing about at all - you are literally the only person to have had the issue with the clicks, and the software is FINE - they fixed it, it's a 2 second install, 2 second setup AND THEN YOU NEVER HAVE TO TOUCH IT AGAIN. It's amazing to me the entitlement level of today's reviewers lol - dude admits it's a well-built, reasonably priced mouse that's comfortable and has excellent buttons and good battery life. And then goes on to rant most of the video about shit that was either experienced by one person only or has since been fixed or wasn't that big of a deal in the first place. Holy shit.
Yeah i agree, the majority of his problems are easily patchable. I disregarded them entirely because if Glorious is a half competent company they were fixed a few weeks after the review. Only thing holding me back a bit is the lack of free scroll. (looking for an upgrade from old g502)
Great to see the included review of software, useful next time to mention if the software must be running and/or online all the time or not. Thank you!
Day one patches for hardware are already there, especially for mice. I dont know how we it came to this point but I gotta go and download a software update for my smart light and my smart fridge
We need more light mice with lots of buttons and good onboard software. I want full programmability with complex macros and without having to install any software. Multi connect would also be great.
Vaxee basically did the same thing for me with the click issue I sent them a video of a weird pinging sound on the click and the mouse having an internal rattle when you’d shake it and they basically said “nuh uh”
Its kind of sad. This mouse could have been the gateway mouse to recommend to g502 users to show them what a lighter mouse feels like without giving up their shape.
All the forge stuff is still available for regular purchase in Australia, don't know if it's just left over stock or not. I bought a series one pro last week.
Their response was literally "we never had that idk must be a you problem". The moment he revealed their response I want nothing to do with any of their products ever. When a manufacturer tells a reviewer to bugger off I can't imagine how bad customer care will be to us.
glorious has been known to have shitty QC, I was not surprised by that. "Your problem doesn't exist because we don't have it" is a massive yikes@@julianmorgan79
Man, I really wanted to retire my old G502 for this one. I'll have to wait for a Chinese version of the g502 with 4k polling rate, sub 60g and backdoor software. Pretty hangnails btw.
My other comment mentioned not caring for this mouse unless you were still on a g502, I would be all over this if I still used a g502 even for its shortcomings If the clicks end up bad could solder some blue dots on
The software is terrible. But you cant complain about needing to install it. Its a configurable rgb wireless mouse with non standard buttons, its almost a neccesity to have the software installed. But yea, have the exact same software issues with my own model O wireless. Its such a shame since the I2 is such good value, and objectively better (because of its weight) than other large ergo gaming mices.
My pulsar x2 super clear had that exact same issue with the left click catching. It is DEFINITELY a defect. Can’t believe glorious just brushed you off like that. smh
I got the glorious model D a couple of years ago and replaced it with the deathadder v2 pro. The mouse is just not really consistent in terms of performance and the buttons of that mouse was hard to press (side buttons). Overall that made me doubt the product badly. its affordable (can't say that its a cheap mouse) but not exactly enough to be labeled as the "ol' reliable". Seeing this, i am hesitant to even try it as the issues before that i experienced with their other mouse is still present in this one primarily performance.
Sad how the o so great Glorious suddenly became inglorious. Considering how I play Apex those side buttons sounds like the best for me since my keybinds are almost stock. Maybe I'll see what happens in a few more months whether it improves or not.
This mouse might be a bit too large for my hands but I kinda want to try it for armored core 6. This and the g502 are kind of screaming to be used for this game.
I have the series one Pro and I absolutely love it 😁 definitely endgame for me!!! this one is a big meh. They should have left that 3rd side button off, but leave the sniper button on.
Just got mine a few days ago. The OG Model I for some reason is completely perfect in shape and size for me but that's not all the button size and placement is also perfect so it's super hard to use other mice optimally for me lol. I also have a zowie ec3-cw which is better in coating and the fact that it has a solid shell and has crisp buttons but yeah the placement and size aren't perfect for me lol.
Yes and no. For me the mouse shape and size is perfect along with the side button size and placement but I do get what you mean. If only the software was better and the coating and having the mouse have a solid shell whilst still being lightweight and a charging dock instead of having to plug the cable in to charge. It would have made it the perfect mouse in all categories to me personally but that's asking way too much of glorious sadly it would seem anyway.
I wouldn't buy anything from glorious, I bought 2 Model D wireless and both the side buttons stopped working after 2 days and the rgb would randomly change/stop working. Got a DAV3 and haven't looked back and you should too, their price is better but not that product quality that's for sure. I also had the same issues with the their software when I had both the Model D copies I had as well, stuff like this is why I can't trust smaller companies enough to buy their more afforable mice. Not to say bigger companies like Razer don't have their issues, but at least my issues with them happen much later in the products life (aside from the right side creak on my DAV3 but that never bothers me and I only hear it if I have my headphones off.
Your review seems to sum up most of my experiences with Glorious over the years. I've purchased/traded for/received nearly every mouse they've made since their inception (I'm a glutton for punishment) and I would estimate around 60-70% of them have had pretty major quality control issues, usually with the feel and sound of the main clicks. This seems to be the worst on the wired Model D in my experience. The left click usually feels loose, rattles and pops. I used to send them back as their customer service was once very good. They'd give you a voucher for a replacement mouse that would include tax/shipping, and I'd receive another turd. Now, they force you to pay for the return shipping on a defective product replacement and their customer service dodges my questions about why they changed this process and why I should suddenly have to pay, when I never had to in the past. I received 2 wired Model O2 Wired and 2 Model O2 Wireless as review units, and had issues with all of them. Mushy, vague scroll wheel that skips and bounces around is a deal breaker for me. The cable on the wired models were thick/stiff and one of them came with a small stain on it. The side buttons were also difficult to actuate. My original Model O wireless was fine, so I am a little perplexed as to why the successor would be worse. I also received a Model D Pro, which was surprisingly decent except the main clicks still didn't feel the best and had a bit of looseness to them, but is overall my favorite Glorious mouse out of all of them that I've tried. Interestingly, even though it was supposed to be a Forge-only, backer product, it was and still is available on Amazon. Go figure.
can anyone give me a recommendation of a gaming mouse with 3 or 4 side macro keys like this model I but lightweight as well? I know there is steelseries aeros 5 but the third button looks uncomfortable to use since it's an up and down mechanic, rather than the usual push
100% they have an amazing customer service team but the people in the head of their company SMOKE WHITE OR BLUE BANNED SUBSTANCES!. This company has the tech and R&D basically equal to most of the heavy hitter, i'd argue they're bigger than steelseries and hyperX. I did end up getting a refund for my broken model o wireless (eventhough i paid £102 they gave me 80usd which is better than nothing and they even turned it into a code from a qr code) i will save it for the GMMK pro 2 (hopefully comes out soon) because the GMMK pro has awful gaskets.
Leave it to Glorious to still after all these years not be able to finally have any competent level of QC. At least their customer support is really good.
It's something that I've thought about doing but I think there's other channels/resources that are so much more knowledgeable in that area. I'd only explore adding this information into a video if I can create a reliable testing setup and feel that the data I collect is credible.
Good review but this mouse specification makes it meh. 75 gramm is only 40% less than a brick of g502. And almost 50% more (or 1.5x) than a lot of current superlight mouse. Also no infinity scroll makes it useless in productivity. If there was at least some sort of infinite scroll or top side buttons than maybe it could've been viable alternative to g502x.
Glorious shoots themselves in the foot constantly. They need to go back to there former, not so sjw logo and actually focus on making gear good this time around. All I see is a failure of a company continue to suck in all reality, and it's a shame because I'd support them if they didn't just launch bs with no care. I trust them better than logicrap though easily, but still bottom tier junk
That response from Glorious is utter crap - I have model o- and it's the worst mouse I've ever bought - never using Glorious again unless they take a dramatic shift in direction
you sound like a baby crying bout mom giving ur dinner on a plate(need to download software, default is not what ur used to, cant use it instantly outta the box) and not feeding u directly(everything u said u needed, absolutely minor) while its the same delicious food(good shell, good weight, good quality) with a rare case of hair(mouse click vibration) found in it
That last frame jumpscared me 😭
Looks like they have gotten better, just bought me a white one, and it has 0 flaws. Very surprised by the product and can recommend
Alternate title... "Glorious will never send me another mouse for review"
Way to keep it real👏👏
Hope they do because we've been pretty positive about some of their previous releases, just a shame about this one

There is the Lenovo Legion M7. It has an additional button in the left side and the wheel tilts giving it 3 binding actions.
