its not the first podcast with this format. and some of the previous ones are already quite popular. great format though everyone will agree with you there
Lemon Poker : french speaking ? You did put the accent on "é", smells like you have a FR keyboard :) For the repliers : To me Dnegs was wrong and admitted it (sincerely), so yes that sequence is funny, and y'all that are saying he was right in the first place, you're NOT ! 😁😇😜.
Botez's smooth and quick check at 7:32 definitely gave away information she had two pair lol, plus her confident smile! Entertaining and engaging video, congratulations to both!
I think the problem was she was looking at her chips while checking. Daniel made a video about this, when people look at their stack after a flop is because they loved the cards
I don't even know when and how that hour passed. It was just pure joy to watch you both. I like that the stack sizes weren't even shown, so that we're not focusing on the wrong thing here.
I read this reply while beginning to watch the video. I thought this was just a kind gesture to say but it's for real. That hour just flew by. What a great time even for the viewers
Such a great banter. Alex is the kind of person I'd like to see as new gen poker player. A LOT of learning ahead though. Daniel, as always, funny and authentic.
D-Negs is so personable!! I love to watch him whether it’s high stakes stream or just chatting. He is really entertaining and so genuine. Also agree with others that this podcast/poker/tutorial is excellent! I’ll be looking for the others and more to come!
This is my favorite so far. I live hearing the comments, thoughts, strategies, etc. so much better than watching a live stream which I also love! I don’t want highlights
Watching two of my favorite people in the world discussing two of my favorite pastimes, there's just too much to like! Now we need to watch them again, but playing chess!!!
Not sure about Alexandra's live tell, but I picked up on Daniel's headscratch as he says "I have a lot of faith and trust in the team at GG" at 23:19 🤣
Wow, I really enjoyed watching and learning from you both. Great rapor! You both have that "special" personality, that makes watching you play Poker so much fun. Thanks!
What a nice video. I love these educational videos, please do more of these. Like for beginners. I just started and don’t really know what cards to play
I am in live with Botez sisters and everything they put on YT! Excellent content from this one. She is smart, gorgeous, confident, very believable, and shoots it straight.
Great teacher student vibe between the two, funny, and insightful. As a novice poker player it was a ton of fun to watch with some great tips to pick up on. I hope Alexandra does well in her poker endeavors and Daniel is a fun and interesting pro to follow. Best of luck you two!
Congrats on becoming a GG Ambassador Ms Botez . You're a lucky human . Hopefully i see you on GG in a tourney or at cash tables or maybe some PLO. Cool Vid Daniel ! Some great info. Ty and Cheers
I've watched Daniel for maybe a decade now... 10:59 Is one the the most accidently funny and brutally honest things I have ever heard from him; not that he isn't always honest. However, he is almost always a humble and nice guy until provoked. So, to hear him actually say, "This idiot just costed me big time and he has no shot.", was quite a pleasant surprise for me.
A really nice segment. I’ve played for far too long! I think one of the first lessons I learnt is that poker is a game of deceit and confusion. The second lesson I learnt was that the first person you deceive and confuse is yourself.
That was a fun watch. Have enjoyed watching you play poker for 25 years and watching Alex also. The both of you playing heads up was a good time. Thanks to the both of you and be well.
He folds KQ because first, the opponent tells him i have a strong hand because the option of 3 betting is mostly a strong range, Then on the flop suddenly a speed check with killer eyes.
When you mention "women in poker" and "aggression", two things came to mind. 1. Gary Carson devoted an entire chapter of his 2001 "The Complete Guide to Hold 'Em" to women in poker, mostly focusing in on how women could best exploit the "underestimate me" side of the ball. He also did throw in a line that successful women in poker tended to play more aggressive than their male counterparts. So it's at least been discussed. 2. Annette Obrestad, particularly the 2010 National Heads-up Poker Championship. While more aggression MIGHT be overcompensation, it might just also be pressing every possible advantage. She annihilated Phil Hellmuth, and though she lost to Doyle Brunson, Brunson stated that he'd felt outplayed. (Carson also warned in his book that if you played the way he told you to, the most likely reputation you'd get is that of a maniac.)
Probably not gonna be seen, but in case you do: what I appreciate about dnegs is that he stays true. Money and moderate fame doesn't change him or his vpersona. Soldier with a soul
The live tell Daniel told us to comment about: She looks at the flop and the smile slowly fades off her face to reveal a more stoic nature. She then glances down, but I can’t really tell if it’s a chip glance or not, def could be. I play with a guy who’s always super talkative and laid back at the table but every time he has a big hand he shuts up and sits up in his chair, this reminded me of that tell.
At 28:55, nice all-in move from Negreanu. In a really good game, people could bluff-catch you with a bluff, but that's not good for online play nowadays. Play your hands carefully and bet strong with hands that are genuinely interested in paying you
Botez’s tell is that when she flopped two pair, her face changed from a laugh to a stern facial expression. Don’t forget she was contemplating a 3-bet post-flop which would indicate she had at least an ace in the hole. The few last hands she played, when she didn’t have anything, she checked nonchalantly.
It's based off the cards you're holding and the line players take, i.e. rasing or limping preflop, checking, betting, or raising on flop, turn, etc, taking the board and aggression or lack thereof into account.
This is almost spiritual for me. I've loved you for a long time, but this hit me right where I am. Never considered the tournament aspect to aspect to behavior lol. Def hit some friends on that.
Thanks a lot, i'm a great fan since like ten years of DNegs, and think the best of Alex. You are the two players who changed my view on chess (ho yes and the Queen's Gambit series too :) What is really lacking, is a display of the stacks.Or at least please give sometimes a clear image of them and the chip color code at the beginning... That's like watching a film, but all the dialog from one of the main characters are missing, you really miss a point, i mean ! Also, would be glad to know what are the stakes (the chip/$ ratio is not really important, my guess is that when you invite someone to create vidéo content, you wont take money from him in the filmed game. I think of a "keep what you won, but no loss" or maybe loss divided by some factor, but wins 1:1.... Unsure if my curiosity will be understood (sorry for the spooky language, i'm french) but at least, SHOW US THE STACKS PLEASE ! ❤❤🤩
This is one of the most unique videos i've seen in a while. I think you found a brand new brilliant format. Podcast Poker. Super fun to watch.

wow. doing your thing and talking about it at the same time, someone should write this down
Loved this content and original idea, keep up the great videos
Seen this years ago
Daniel is actually a great interviewer and holds conversation so well. Refreshing poker video
Weird comment... since she asked like, 4 times as many questions as he did.
He is so good at table talk. He both gave a good interview and knew what she held most hands.
@@patrickhenry4675 he's a good conversationalist, but... she's carrying the interview part of it on her back.
"I played chess against...Pokémon!"

Technically her name is supposed to be pronounced like that so he's got the right spirit lol
Mew2 would be a real tuff nut to bluff, if he bluffed at all. ;D
That is how her name is pronounced
It's supposed to be pronounced like that lol.. you're the incorrect one

This is a great format and would love to see you continue it with other up and coming players, e.g. Lonis, Becker, Rampage, etc.
Really like the format, and it's actually very informative/tutorial - thanks, great video! ♥
Such a great banter. Alex is the kind of person I'd like to see as new gen poker player. A LOT of learning ahead though. Daniel, as always, funny and authentic.
I’d trust in her ability to learn the game, chess players are next level smart
Alex is obviously a great chess player but really not professional level at poker.
The difference between Negreanu and Helmuth with new players is insane.
