Apple is like a "dream girl" only as time goes on she demands more and more and more and gives you less and less and less to the point where you just need to make a clean break and never talk to her again. Only she never learns her lesson and has to change because most guys just let her get away it. That's Apple
Yeah... I just bought the new iPhone Xs. I mean... whats with the no aux cord? Is that $0.27 component driving up costs. I'm gonna look at Samsung tomorrow & take my iPhone back
ALL KIIINDS Bluetooth was invented in 1999 but alrighty then. Bro that means you never imagined yourself in that apple commercial, iPod in hand, earphones in and dancing like nobody’s watching. Sounds like a sad life bro. Saaad... sad life
@RiccoFX Wireless headphones are still inferior in quality of audio to wired ones, also, you have to charge them. They should be an OPTION just like everywhere else, not the only option.
I recently misplaced my headphone adapter and purchased a relatively cheap one overseas. I plugged it into my phone started playing music and it worked just fine. However, after about 20 minutes of use my iPhone told me it was not supported by this device. Does anybody know if this is a fixable problem or am I better off purchasing one from the Apple store.
There’s an adapter on Amazon that called “ 3 in 1 Lightning to 3.5mm Jack Headphone Adapter Earphone Jack Audio and Charging Adapter Headphone Splitter Compatible” Im trying to figure out if you can use one for mic audio and music through the other.
Thanks for the info! I think, though, that it sucks to have to use any of these. To have at home is one thing. But I don’t want more things in my pocket if I’m going out. Still holding on to my 6S...
I put the 3.5 mm headphone jack into my iphone 7 battery case and the adapter wasn’t as efficient as you would put into your phone rather than putting that in your battery case my headphone goes on and off and I have to adjust the adapter with the battery case on the iPhone
That ildock will not be a problem because many cases will not work with it. Those lightning connectors that are like that are always a problem. If it came with an extender then it would be cool, but that means more expensive for nothing because it should not be designed like that to begin with. I am obviously totally off track if the lightning connector is long enough to get into cases. I don't get the benefit of that design. I don't think it will be attached better. Anyway I suppose some people will like it.
Honestly how does the “dongle” work technically speaking So the audio signal is coming out of the iPhone into the headphones Then the electricity coming wall socket is coming back through the same adapter to change How the hell does that work (If you know the answer please reply)
What about a microphone? Most headphones have a microphone. So how do you connect those so that they work as before and then how to charge the phone at the same time. Surprised you didn't mention that.
Hello Beau, just wondering will the Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar Adapter work with the following adapters plugged into it? Lighting to 3.5mm headphone jack (for analog audio output) Apple Digital AV Adapter (just HDMI video output) Since I don't really want to grab the audio from the HDMI due to audio delays.
How does that ILDOCK sound? I've noticed noise, even with lightning headphones, which wasn't present on iPhones that had built-in 3.5mm jacks. Does the DAC happen onboard the iPhone or is the conversion performed in the external adapter?
Can I connect 4-pole mics to Adapter #3? I have an Irig pre adapter that allows me To connect XLR mics or an electric guitar. And it connects via 4 pole 3.5mm. I have the apple adapter but i need to be able to charge at the same time. Especially If I stream from my phone
I know using non MFI certified things is sometimes risky but If you use a non MFI certified adapter with an MFI certified cable could it still mess up your device? Or should it be fine
Hey! Just a question " I have Yamaha DGX 650 and I also have an iPad with all the good apps for music 🎶🎹🎻🎷🎸,but what is the USB that I will need to connect my iPad with my DGX so that I can get to use those apps like garage band and so on... plz post a link where I can purchase them thanks
can I use the Charge Rockstar adapter this way: connect "Rockstar" to my iphone X and charge?, run the 3.5 cable from Rockstar to my radio and play music in my car speakers...and hear phone calls?
Well now i have the opposite issue. I used the adapter for my iphone with the older headphones. Now the new headphones i got with the BUILT IN apple adapter are useless for any other device i want to use them on. My OLDER headphones got broken
Was ILDock Plus version (lightning + jack + USB port) ever possible to buy? I can not find prof for that. Are ILDock adapters certified by Apple? - I mean do they still work for sure after iOS update in the future?
I need help I bought a MacBook Air not the new one but the old model is there something where I can connect my apple lighting earphones to my Mac? since those ear phones came with my phone
This might sound a bit dum but I've got the iPhone 7 but don't know which dongle will work with my irig so I can plug in to JamUp pro and jam on my guitar any help would be great thank you
This is the downside of the iphone 7 and 7 plus. Thats why im buying myself an iphone 6s plus instead. Or if the future iphones will bring back the headphone jack.
The camera of the iPhone 7 is so much better than the 6s. I don't get the big deal of using an adapter for the headphones. For me it's worth that small inconvenience to get that camera and water resistance plus some other improvements. We are just used to having a headphone jack. A little change is healthy especially when it's not as big a deal as people are making it.
Perry Pelican it's not a big deal... for casual music listeners. For those of us that podcast or record voice overs or need to produce stuff on our pocket computer that we got used to producing on the iPhones prior, it's a huge fuckin inconvenience. You ever tried to play an instrument with the delay from Bluetooth... naw man fucking Apple has a stick up its ass and is screwing us so they can sell adapters. My headphone jack "dongle" looks perfect and undamaged... but today just decided to take a shit. The first time since I've owned iPhones I've ever had to replace the "headphone jack"... morons!
My old car right now has a iPhone 4 six cable in its console and I have an iPhone 8 are there any trustable products that can be an adapter for iPhone 4 to and iPhone 8? I’ve looked just about everywhere but I’d thought I’d ask
someone of the adapters can charge and transfer data to my pc to use it as a webcam with camo studio app/software while i plug in my iRig 2 guitar adapter at the same time? help pls
If you cannot see that they want you to spend double the money for what the phone should JUST COME WITH, then you care wayyyyy too much about what your friends think rather than YOUR OWN PARENTS BANK ACCOUNT
Mr Solo Dolo VI the reason why the headphone jack was removed was so that apple could fit more in their product which would help with stuff like, storage, smoothness, graphics, and much more but I still rather have the headphone jack 😂😂
To add insult to injury there are reports that the new iPhones coming out won’t even supply that dongle so you will be forced to pay “$9” for it. I own an iphone7 plus but I knew that not having a headphone jack was garbage. I am switching to the galaxy S10 when it comes out, I know Samsung won’t do away with the headphone jack.
And then you find out that everything that isn’t MFI certified will just stop working after an iPhone update. Also you can’t chain dongles, so forget having a USB port and a 3.5mm port at the same time.

Jeremy I use an iPhone and I agree with you.
Best information on the lightening cable that I've found. Thank you Beau HD.
good vid, thanks.
but something tells me the iLDOCK will not work with most iPhone cases. bummer. :/

Going with the belkin mostly because I use an otterbox symmetry which won’t fit the ILDOCK
That hand move and the Zzzsssuuh sound got me dude. I’m now convinced to buy that shit
And the the sd card reader. Transfer photos from your camera right to your iPhone or iPad. No wifi needed.

TheTalmon18 no, the rockstar you still have to use the adapter for the headphone. The IdLock you can just plug in your standard 3.5mm headphone
yeah thats what im saying. ildock is so much better because it already has the standard jack
In the third adapter does mic works?
The ILDock looks like it's gonna break the port as soon as you put all that in your bag or pocket.
Huh the lightning adapter durability is crap it breaks so quickly
ILDOCK, can i plug a mic?
can I connect a microphone to this dongle?
Is there any adapter to connect to printer usb

Not at all, I love cannabis! I like your show!
Haha, kidding. It's just an IKEA plant. Thanks! :)
But I hate how the headphones always falls out of the adapter
And then you find out that everything that isn’t MFI certified will just stop working after an iPhone update.
