I have the belkin w/lighting and 3.5 mm jack. It’s flawed, which is why they probably switched to two lightning ports on the adapter because when you plug the one that I have been to listen to audio through the auxiliary cable you have to unplug the audio cable after you plug it into your phone then plug it back in. Because the iPhone recognizes the lightning port first, so you have to pull out the audio jack and plug it back in so then it would recognize the new plug. This is slightly frustrating, Because constant in and out of the 3.5 mm audio jack causes where in tear and dirt causing connections to be intermittent. This makes you have to pull out the Jack and plug it back in again!!
Did you find issues with your phone discharging while plugged up and listening to music? I went out and bought a new car adapter assuming it was dead but then after fiddling with the old one for a minute it actually started charging. 🤔seems finicky and I’m wondering if it’s worth the $40. Thanks!
@@t.terrell7037 for sure, if the main thick wire on the adapter is in a bent position while it's resting, it can eventually quit working. Bending or twisting it the opposite direction got it back working again for me but I have had to replace one because the connection under the shielding is less than great. If you can keep it from bending while it's in its resting position you shouldn't have an issue.

I can care less about the loss of a headphone jack I listen to music everyday but once I got air pods it never bothered me and I never really needed to charge and listen to music. The single stays in my backpack that is most of the time with me so thats not a bing problem either. I wish they killed the head phone jack sooner
