Your timing is perfect. I have been trying and failing to create a unique feminine "shacket". I want it roomy but not baggy. The Aria shirt was on my list to try. It is now what I will sew next. I love your tulip sleeves. The faux placket is brilliant. My wrists are small and I have never needed all that extra room. Might I put in a request for you to sew a color blocked Aria. That looks intriguing. Thank you for your hard work. It is appreciated and enjoyed.

Katrina, have you investigated the Top Down/ Center Out method of making pants yet?
Fascinating concept which pretty much cures the J Curve/Crotch dilemma working down from a stable waistband. Curved or straight waistbands both work. I could just see you adding that tulip to the center of the waistband! It would be so very pretty and unique!
I’m not interested in following that pant fitting method for a whole lot of reasons actually. I’m very happy with my method and can always get a great fitting pant, so I’m not going to change what already works :)
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles I fully understand. You have great methods for fitting pants and I have watched, and learned them all so sewing pants would not be so intimidating.
The main feature I like about this Top Down/Center Out is that it is easier to keep the original grain-line. Fabric will fall as it should from the waist line and not twist at the hips or bum.

LOL I could even imagine making plaid pants with this method, totally in keeping with the amount of ease the pattern designer intended. When that light bulb goes on your brain will giggle girl!

The shacket contrasting collar is fabulous and I love the tulip cuffs Karina - do you think you could do this with stretch fabric? That's what I mostly sew with.
Yes but I’d try it with a more structured knit like cotton Lycra. Floppy ones like rayon spandex would stretch out.
When you test patterns do you have to report the changes you had to make, or rate how difficult or easy it was? Could you in a video tell us how that works?
We post photos of our fit and our feedback about not only that, but also the clarity of the instructions….
You said you wanted to sew them all last week, what you did sew took you 3 days, so you didn’t run out of time, you’ve got 4 days left. Karina you can’t include editing etc, that and filming alone would take a week, you should only count the sewing . X
