  • there is another tutorial video on this Peugeot Boxer van
yesterday we done a DPF clean today we have returned to fit a Vaporizer.
without a working vaporizer the DPF regeneration process conditions will not be met and the DPF will block again if this problem is not resolved quickly
on this video we replace the Vaporizer
    Peugeot Boxer
    Citroen Relay
    Fiat Ducato
same engine and running gear as a Ford Transit FWD MK7 and Custom Transit.

A FAR easier way to remove the old vaporiser (Or 5th injector as it is also known) is remove the battery box, once that is out of the way you have plenty of room to get at it plus you are pulling up instead of pushing up - so much easier. I snapped the old one off, easy to do, to get a socket on the nut. Hope this helps encourage people to do their own. I replaced the 25 amp fuse then drove a few miles and the engine light went out on it's own.

That was a job well done the Autel seems to be a really good piece of kit

Some great diagnostics skills you have. Ref the fuel pump, when does that open up to inject fuel into the DPF? I have poor fuel economy on my 2.2Boxer. I Disconnected the exit hose from the pump and attached a hose and bottle to the exit fuel line and went for a 6 mile drive, diesel came out under normal driving conditions, about 150ml after 6 miles but not on tick over at a standstill. should the pump always pump fuel to the vaporizer? or is it selectively controlled? I think something in the dpf vaporiser fuel system is causing too much fuel to be pumped into the dpf, it's not showing any faults on the dash, and no DPF regen either. The economy is down around 60-70 miles per tank full. Any suggestions, please

With the hose disconnected at the pump discharge, Should diesel be coming out all the time? I’m having a similar issue but there is no diesel coming out the metering pump, have checked voltage at plug all good

Would a knackered one of these cause camshaft sensor code to come up ?

Great video with lots of information in pure English. Wish you were closer to me my DPF is driving me mad. Fans run for hours on a 650 miles trip each night and last night it did it's first ever re gen but it never finished. See what tonight brings. Keep them coming they are so educational.

I don't envy your job, I've had a fair bit of mechanic experience, and it's no fun eps when you can get access or be able to move a ratchet. Shame you can't apply heat to that area, heat works very well on some stubborn nuts and bolts.

STOP. DO NOT DO IT THIS WAY. TAKE OUT THE BATTERY BOX AND THE INJECTOR IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU WITH LOTS OF ROOM, NO STRUGGLING AND YOU CAN USE A SOCKET AND EVEN DO IT IF IT IS RAINING.

i have a Citroen Relay 2.2hdi 2016. its blowing white/blue smoke every 200/300 miles for 15/20 mins. its had a new EGR and 5th injector, also had 4 new injectors fitted today, i have done a DPF removal/clean/refit with no improvement, any ideas. is it regening, how does it make smoke when the DPF is supposed to catch/stop all smoke. im now thinking EGR cooler problem triggering regens. maybe easier to "turn DPF off" what do you think, can you help? im in Leighton Buzzard area next week thanks Simon.

I need some technical help here, I have a 2019 Boxer 2.0 HDI Blue, engine check light came on and error code reads a problem with stuck open Adblue injector/vaporiser. Replaced with new Injector/Vaporiser, cleared error code and everything was ok for about a week, now what is happening is the engine check light will come but if the van is not driven for a few days when its started again the engine check light is off and will stay off until it first reaches speed of 90-100klms then the check light comes back on. This has my head wrecked. Any help with this one is greatly appreciated 😔😔😔
