I'm from Compton myself so I sat back and watched the transition .I'm now living in Desmoines Iowa and I can clearly see how his music changed the face of Gangster rap statewide. What a great story. I knew about Dre, his music but not about his life and to this extent. I’ve been through (still am) so much these past four years and not gonna lie, the pain and hurt just seems to never go away. Every single day is such a struggle which is why I turn to my Heavenly Father and music by artists such as Dre and Marshall. Their music is my oxygen. I need it to survive. My days always begin with a prayer and listening to music which in doing so, helps to make me stronger.
