I have been watching your channel for a few years. You guys are an incredible hardworking family. George must be proud of his boys. Thank you Aaron for sharing your family’s business.
I really like watching you, you guys farm like we used to 60 years ago. Cattle fed on mostly hay with a little added grain. We had cob corn, and an old hammer mill powered by a Ford 8N. We gave each cow 1 large coffee can full of the millings and added minerals with a little salt and all the hay they wanted. Our barn had an artesian well that kept the milk cold, and then watered the livestock. Keep up the good work!
I enjoy any of the videos with milking or the animals in them. Really enjoy the birth videos or pulling a calf. Feeding the little calves their bottles or buckets of milk as well.
Boy you folks bring back the memories when I grew up on the farm the work never stops we raised beef cattle so the chores never seemed to end but I still miss it to this day, taking care of the cattle everyday bedding the barn feeding morning and nite throwing down hay into the hay bunk keeping the mineral boxes filled and salt licks plus the club calves my brother and I had in separate pen haling water hot in the winter and feed and of course cleaning the pen weekly always something to do! Great content ❤️ the videos
Only thing i could see that may be an upgrade is to find a better/easier bin for the ground corn. But hey if that's whats working 💪 keep on doing it. 😊 happy farming
Greatings from North Dakota! Where it has also been pretty cold! Depending on which part of the state you are in, we have had some -20 to -50 degree wind chills. Brrrrrr! Great video, Aaron! Covered all the tasks of an average day on a small dairy farm. The work never ends, does it. I like this video because it shows people who aren't familiar with farming how well you take care of all of your cattle every day. From nutritional value, to the facilities you have to keep them out of the frigid winter elements, and the clean and healthy environment you have for them..... I was wondering about that auger under that grainery when you backed that grinder mixer up to grind the shelled corn. Thanks for showing that. Good way to repurpose an old auger you no longer needed for it's primary purpose, and it made that part of your process easier and faster. That must have been some George ingenuity! As far as what I would like to see, I'd like to see more of milking time from start where you bring the cows into the barn, to the milking process, to the final cleanup of the system. I think that would be great for adults and kids who think their milk just comes from the supermarket. You Gieorck's all stay safe and stay warm!
We really enjoy the cattle videos. It was extremely interesting watching the breeding decisions and the breeds used. Take care and all the best from Scotland ❤.
Add 200 pounds of soybean meal per load and your mix would be the same as what my uncle feed his milk cows. Sure did love the idea of the auger under the shell corn, we had to 5 gallon buckets the oats and shell corn from the grainy 😊.
Pretty slick system of getting shelled corn out. Pretty similar to what we use to do only we filled up a gravity wagon of oats. Dad would call the local feed mill with a truck an elevator pick up the oats an cob corn. Couple hours later the bulk truck with the auger comes by an fill up the ground feed bin that is up by the hay mow.
Next phase after merch, retail direct shipments of beef. Partner with gundersons locker mondovi after processing to lease freezer space and ship. The more retail direct including selling cheese from your regenerative grazing farm. Try gundersons smoked venison ring sausage. Better than backstraps.
I like the variety milking, feeding, I do like a good shop project myself and enjoy those videos as well. What you have been doing seems to be working, I say keep cranking them out! I'd like if you took us along for the winter maintenance/inspection of the 7120.
Do you and your brothers see yourselves farming either with your family or on your own? Since you have been buying equipment are you gonna try to buy or rent more land than what you already do? I really enjoy watching your family farm. Reminds me working with my family on the farm as a kid. The way your dad explains things is the way my dad did. My dad started farming with horse and plow as a kid and young man. Then he switched to tractors when he was in his 40s after leaving the farm during WW11 working in the mines. Keep up the awesome videos and God bless your and your family.
What is the nutrition difference between shelled corn and cob corn ? is it the cob that makes the difference and do you chop the cob up? Me and my son has been raising our own cattle for us to eat so just trying to learn as much as I can.and I got to say ur channel has lot more information about farming then others do.i appreciate yaw taking the time to teach us dummies in the world. U and ur dad is so valuable. To people like my self a lot of channels really don’t teach nothing. They just showing what they do day to day. But not really much learning information so I appreciate y’all for doing this. Also I love how u farm on low budget unlike lot farms thinks it take all new equipment to be successful
For in-depth information as good as the Gieroks are providing, also visit: FarmerTylerRanch, and Just AFewAcresFarm. Another small family dairy farm, in Republic of Ireland: IFarmWeFarm. Of course, always sort the videos by 'oldest' and watch in chronological order.
What is the update on the Oliver. I see her being used often which is good. Ever find the problem. Shop videos. And the auger under the shed a really nice addition, love those adaptive ideas
I have to say watching this is one of the most satisfying videos working the silage pile, feeding the young stock and especially grinding and mixing corn while sitting on my couch drinking a cup of coffee. I would like to know where all that hay and corn stalks are kept? And what kind of hay is stored in the back of the calf barn? Thanks so much for sharing.
What’s in your mineral mix I assume there’s some type of protein in it with that many buckets. Really enjoy your videos they all interest me I guess I like a mix. Keep it up.
I don't know you could just about post anything and I'd probably view it unless it was something I just wasn't interested in but hasn't found that yet so just keep doing what you're doing.
I have been watching your channel for a few years. You guys are an incredible hardworking family. George must be proud of his boys. Thank you Aaron for sharing your family’s business.
I like all of it farming is hard work but satisfying
excellent!!
A farmer work is never done.. been watching you for a while.. Thank you 🙏hard working family with care 🙏😊
Both. Shop work, and feeding.

A video with your dad talking about the history of the farm would be so cool. Great video per usual.
Whatever you’re doing is great content.

If you’re going to be a farmer you have to love it cause the cattle don’t take a vacation . Great video fellas .👍
What do I want to see? All of t he above. I enjoy the animals, but I also really like the way George takes the time to teach.

Nice work! I enjoyed seeing how you process the feed. Awesome!
Any of those suggestions would make a great video. Thanks Aaron
Great video. I was only 7, but I remember helping my dad grind corn. He had 35 or so holsteins in northern Iowa. Thanks for sharing.

The two of you really explain things very well. As a non- farmer it is much appreciated! Go Badgers!

We really enjoy the cattle videos. It was extremely interesting watching the breeding decisions and the breeds used. Take care and all the best from Scotland ❤.
All your videos are good.
I like all the different videos. That way you're not seeing the same thing all the time.
This is roughly the size all farms should be, IYKYK

❤😊 THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SHARING WITH ALL OF US 🙏👍👌🌽❤😊AARON
It is winter let’s see some shop work.
Yes! Love the video. Merry Christmas from Paulding Ohio

I always try to catch a glimpse of the brown swiss twins. I like to hear of their progress.
It would be very interesting to see how the milk is picked up and taken away from the farm.
Really like the cattle video.

what a great idea.
Really enjoyed the details. Thanks.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I like a mix of all the work that you guys do and have shown.

I love your videos
I like to see the sawmill run
Great video! The variety is nice
We always put some oats or corn then mineral but everyone does it differently great video!
We always tried to make sure we had feed ground before we had really bad weather but it didn’t always work that way.

@ thanks for the information. I appreciate it. Every little bit of knowledge helps when you get old like me.
What is the update on the Oliver. I see her being used often which is good. Ever find the problem. Shop videos. And the auger under the shed a really nice addition, love those adaptive ideas
That's a pretty clean old 100 Gehl mixer.
I I always want to see widows of he lilivestocjk and the work related to them, feeding, etc.
The Oliver is still running despite issues you had last year.
Had the same grinder/mixer and used to grind cow feed every 3-4 days plus pig feed and youngstock grain when needed, lasted 35 years before i sold it
So did you sell your corn to your dad or did you buy into the dairy herd and your corn is your portion of the feed?
Great video
I like the cattle videos and listening to George talk. You should do a video on George's brothers farm!
Awesome video
I'd love to see a video of the complete maintenance you do on the 7120.
I have to say watching this is one of the most satisfying videos working the silage pile, feeding the young stock and especially grinding and mixing corn while sitting on my couch drinking a cup of coffee. Must be a new kind of grain that cron stuff😏😏 love the video 🙂
41c here in Adelaide today starting to warm up😊
What’s in your mineral mix I assume there’s some type of protein in it with that many buckets. Really enjoy your videos they all interest me I guess I like a mix. Keep it up.
With twin heifers one is steril
This would be a good video, take the St Bernard in to a groomer for a needed make over
Btw what is cron?
Like all the videos, mixs them up. Shop winter projects, milking anything you want.
How often do you have grind feed.
Immpressive operation, im a new subscriber how many head do you milk?
Whatever happened to the calf that was born outside with the broken leg?? Always enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for feeding America!
When blows you guys alot of snow how about some snow removal if possible
If - with just a glance on the video- you can smell the corn dust, we are already friends.
Basically the same mixture I use except I add 1 bale of good alphalfa hay
I don't know you could just about post anything and I'd probably view it unless it was something I just wasn't interested in but hasn't found that yet so just keep doing what you're doing.
Does your mineral also have protein?? Didn’t see an SBM added???
Did y'all know the guy who invented the manure spreader was Japanese? His name was Phling Shee Hi...🙏
😂😂😂
I’m wondering why you have both shelled and cobb corn?
