I have listened to and saved dozens of recordings over the years of this masterpiece by Astor Piazzolla, which he originally titled "Tanti anni prima" ("Many years ago"), which was one of the beautiful pieces that he composed for the soundtrack of the Argentine film "Enrico IV" (Henry the 4th). But I have to admit that your recording here is right at the top of the list, in my opinion, of the most beautiful performances of it that I have ever seen and heard. Thank you, Yoed and Dan, for this superb performance, which is so full of emotion. I have been listening to it repeatedly while replying to others' comments, and writing this... and will be listening to it for years to come.
Greetings to you both from Honolulu Hawai'i. 😊🌴💖
The pianist is also wonderful.

Simply beautiful! You’re one of the most talented musicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Such an honor
Much better than Hauser's performance.
thanks so much!! :-)
Definitely!
I agree. Stjepan Hauser is a superb cellist, no doubts. But I wish that he would ease up on the facial contortions and theatrics, and put more of his "heart" into his performances. He has done some stunning performances, such as his recent concert in Zagreb, which is on YT. But with this beautiful piece by the Master, Astor Piazzolla, which was originally titled "Tanti anni prima" ("Many years ago") this performance by Yoed and Dan far surpasses Hauser's, my opinion.
Can i get this sheet of cello and piano? Your performance is the best of piazzolla’s cello remake😭😭
Indeed, though I know a dreamy performance on double bass that I enjoy even more (by Mikyung Sung), but then that’s not exactly the cello version any more is it?
I've been yo-yo-ing between Yoed's performance which is breathtaking, and that of Lena Kravetz...the latter simply because her register is lower and for my playing ability the D string is much more attainable...I have now listened to Mikyung Sung on bass and that is the sound I would like to produce on cello...dreamy is the perfect description and with a little transposition I'm sure it would work on cello. The D string gives such a honeyed sound and yet none of the above very personal view takes away from the beauty of Noed's soulful art, supported of course very sensitively by Dan. Simply beautiful. @@matthewv789
