Not that I could ever afford a lariat but I do not like the full digital display. I think the XLT is perfect. Better display screen while keeping the gauges analog.
I say this as a fan of the RAM 1500. Ford has really improved for this generation and I totally understand the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" approach. They improved the overall experience and did so without turning away those who have owned Fords for years. Could they have done more? I think so. Ford has a good product here.

Got mine in red. Last one on the lot....literally. So glad I made the choice to test drive it. Couldn't be happier. I've owned 7 F150 pickups from the base XLT up to the Lariat model. This one is a great option for those not wanting Leather or a moonroof (which was how I escaped my Lariat when it rolled over from a T bone collision). All in all, I'll be keeping this one for a while. Love the bigger screen too!

I always like seeing the actual popular trims that are more mid-grade. They just seem more of a "truck" than a luxury vehicle like the high priced trims. You never see them get reviewed and I always find them on you channel. You do great in depth and informative reviews. Would love to see a side by side comparison of 5 full sized pickups. Chevy, Ford, Ram, Nissan, and Toyota. They all are very different in design and are all specifically made for their own fan base and built for their own work goals. Again, great videos and keep up the good work and effort!

I'm definitely getting one of these, except in Supercab standard bed configuration. The XLT is the way to go, best bang for buck. I've never owned a Ford, but always been a fan of the F-150. It's top dog in the 1/2 ton segment for a reason.

Not a truck guy but can definitely see how this sells so well - and has really dominated the market for pickups. Really a great design, and so many ways to individually order it! Great review - you guys have to get extra points for performing at 31 degrees! (Could swear I spotted a white Tesla parked nearby...)

Having owned more than 20 new ford trucks, I am looking forward to driving this new model. So far I like the looks and features ya'll have previewed here. Thank you for showing such great detail and options. I'll keep my 2020 f350 diesel for towing but this truck would be great for a daily driver. My 1954 ford truck doesn't have quite as many safety features but I can work on it my self....lol. great review gentlemen.

Car Confections: Is the first 2021 F-150 review, that I've seen, with a presenter that actually elaborated the new headlight design; additionally, the camera operator showed up close, clear detail of them. Since it's release, I've wondered about the odd way the headlights fit, and if the grills tapper behind them was functional, eg., an air passage. Thanks to excellent camera work, and a good reviewer, I can see that they are indeed functional--as a dead end crease for bugs to collect.

Great review. I have a question that I have been searching for the answer. Maybe you know. I took a look at a 2022 XLT 302a and I noticed it had shiny silver trim that I wasn’t a fan of. In your video it looked grey which I like. It was at the 8:53 mark. Thought it was worth asking. Thanks again for a great review
I like the interior of the XLT better including the little Detroit door panels over lariat and that weird leather but I still want LED tail lights.
Great review. Not in the market for a pickup truck. Now that I think about it I would really like to own a pick truck like this. Its more of a budget issue. Take care and drive safe.

looking at an XLT with max towpackage to tow a 25 ft' 5600 pound travel trailer. i think a brand new XLT with max tow package seems like a better deal compared to a used lariat with tow package. seems to be similar in price.

Ford has the best R&D team in the industry. Thats why the f150 is always the best seller. Chevy and dodge are shit compared to what they used to be. Ford gets better year after year. 2.7 liter engine that puts out 380hp and 400lb torque. Awesome work as always.

This is coming from someone who has an XL, base, had to add cruise control because it's not standard (wtf) supercrew, 4x4 with the 5.0. I'd say the STX package on an XL is by far the best value unless you really need the LED running lights/headlights, chrome, etc.
Do all trims come with push button start
My 2010 Silverado had adjustable pedals as a standard option, so that’s a lie. Other than that, Ford has finally won me over with this truck
When Chevy redesigned the Silverado in 2019 they eliminated power adjustable pedals... If that's what you're talking about
Would you advise me to buy the xlt of road fx f150 hybrid or fuel engine only because I am afraid of hybrid problems and we hear that the hybrid if the electric battery fails, that the car cannot work until the hybrid system is repaired. fords pricing scheme is really interesting, a fully loaded XLT is almost the same price as the lower end lariat, which has more features. I wouldn't think about x02A (like 302a for XLT, 502A for lariat), instead, I would just get a higher trim level w/ basic pkgs. price wise 302A XLT = 500A lariat w/ more features, 502A lariat = 600A king ranch w/ more features.
Not really. It’s atleast from a XLT 302a to a Basic Lariat it is 5-6k more.
If I buy a loaded RAM 1500 classic express package which is basically what the XLT sport is with the uniform body trim instead of chrome, im going to be paying north of 45k compared to 42.5k for a 4x4 baseline Bighorn. So its not a Ford issue its an industry issue.

Great looking truck. No doubt. The folding shifter is very cool but feels very BMW-esque to me. I fear it will break (stay stuck in the folded position) and leave me stranded. Can you manually pull the shifter back into place and drive the truck if that electronic gizmo on the side fails to raise the shifter back up?

Love all of the upgrades Ford did to their truck. The Powerboost w/ bed inverter is such a novel advancement for the class, though I'm eager to see reliability of it all down the line. While I don't think this generation is as elegant or looks as good as the the 18-20 truck, no denying Ford did what they needed to do to stay on top. Ram's gotta get serious on powertrains, which they will. Chevy's interior and other refinements are a long way off, so Ford will keep being the champ.(Ram still is the king in interior refinement tho). One other concern is price, relative to the XLT. @ $55k, that used to buy a very nice Lariat 4WD not so long ago, so an XLT commanding that kind of coin will require a bit of an adjustment. Yes, I know the 302A package pushed up the price, plus it is a little concerning the 3.5EB is $2500 upgrade now(used to be about $1400 over the 3.3, and about $800-$1000 over the 2.7).
HellKitty 101 GM is not far behind, just the interior, otherwise it’s on par with Ram and Ford. The GM Trucks tows more than the Ram, the Silverado will get the MultiFlex Tailgate like the Multipro Tailgate that the GMC Sierra offer, the Silverado and Sierra will get an Updated Interior in 2022 with Super Cruise, the 2022 GMC Sierra will also get a Digital Gauge Cluster.
@@justinsmith2598 yes that's what i meant, just the current truck. I hear GMC is going super high lux on the Sierra, with a different interior than the Silverado. Its getting Super Cruise too.
HellKitty 101 I can’t wait to see the Refreshed Trucks, GMC teased the Interior of the 2022 GMC Sierra, so far it’s looks great and on par with the F-150 and Ram!
not a fan of that motorized shifter. when i hear that little motor all i can think of is how much the dealer will charge to fix that junk when it inevitably breaks.
If you dont use the work space you won't use the motor. I didnt like it because it looks bigger and clunkier than my 2019 sport version.
I'll stick with the Honda Ridgeline for 95% of my daily duties and rent the F-150 on those rare occasions when I need to tow my boat or materials to build my house.

So the new 2021 ford was able to become on par with the ram which came out in 2018? You would think ford would have done a better job considering they had 6 years to redesign this
I felt the same way until I watched more in-depth on the Hybrid with the 7.2kw inverter built into the bed and more of Sync 4... it’s pretty damn practical and I can see it being a super useful vehicle.
The Dodge Rams interior is miles above Chevy and GMC but I do say the new Ford is going to give them a run for their money.

Ford is really bad designing the explorer , if you see old explorer and new ones , the muffle is lower than the rest of the car
Any muffler is lower then the frame on almost all cars , trucks , as it usually hangs via clips , hooks.
