Thought growth has been pretty stagnate the past couple of years... population growth is less than 2%. Many issues such as not entrepreneur friendly and access to water

I movrd here as a kid in 1976, you could get anywhere in the city within 10-15 minutes plus access to the mountains. The problem was there was nothing for a kid to do. Hang out at 7-11 or meet at the KFC or just get into trouble. Now it takes me 30-40 minutes or more, but there are many kid friendly places to go , and now the homeless are spread out everywhere north west south and east, walk along a river or creek and you will hit a homeless camp eventually, rent for a one bedroom is just unbelievable for someone who works walmart or fastfood. That being said whenever i leave i miss this city and i just want to get back here as fast as possible. This is my home until i die.

Majority of Colorado Springs is ghetto just like all typical military towns, but it ain't that bad of a town though.

Interesting perspective...I've always thought the opposite. It's pretty especially after visiting other big cities. Thanks for sharing!

Colorado Springs took a wrong turn when Michelle's died.
    Or maybe that's just me.

The restaurant? Love that place! Munchies is doing a decent job.

@@LivingtheSprings I haven't tried Munchies. It was just heartbreaking for me when Michelle's closed-- it was there when I was a little kid and it was such a treat when I got to go. My dad is a native and I lived around the Springs for a good chunk of my life (and live in Denver now after stops all over the place). Some of the changes in the Springs are good, but some of them, wow, it really isn't the same place it used to be.
