Many Thanks for that Video, I have a 2018 NC750X and you have convinced me to Buy a set of those Crash Bars, I am Very Pleased the Young Lady is Okay. PS I have subscribed.
Hey Bob! Great to hear, they are cracking bikes, and the crash bars make soo much sense! She was a little bruised but got back on the bike so hopefully she will build confidence back up soon. Thank you for subscribing, please let me know if there is a particular video you want me to explore/make and I'll do my best
I was always skeptical about those bars like that because of the engine covers. Would it protect them or not. And it looks like the way that it fell that it landed completely on the bars. I have the same exact bike and now I just need to figure out which bars I want. I would like something with full coverage but with me being a bigger person as it is I don't want to add too much weight to the bike.
I agree, I've always been a bit skeptical too but these have surprised me at how well they protected it. From what I've been told by the other half, there's no noticeable weight difference. Just a fit and forget!
@@SamVBikes the givi look exactly like this and they have some in the US I can order and have in days. Only place I could find these exact ones are from the UK and would take almost two months to get here. At least they are the same design so I know they'll hold up. Plus they'll match my rear givi bag mounts. I was going to go with a full tour bar kit but seeing this... that's probably overkill since ill never go off road.
Ahh didn't realise you were in the US. Of course! I like givi kit too, it's well made and they have been good when I've had a fault before (with a luggage bag) so that's promising!
I think both are pretty similar and both look good. Unfortunately my other half has managed to test these out and they work well. Avoided contact on the majority of the fairing and engine. I'd go for whichever you can get cheaper!
How did you manage to fit these bars onto the bike? I tried to fit the same bars to my NC today and found trying to loosen the bolt on the right side of the bike closet to where the rider sits inaccessible.
It was a little to get into, but you can loosen off some of the panels etc. Alternatively use a ratchet spanner. Made it a bit easier. Hope that helps! I do remember the nut furthest back on the right side was a pain to get to!
@@SamVBikes I'll have another look tomorrow with a clearer head after it all going wrong today (also cross threaded a bolt that's now stuck trying to fit the Puig tail tidy/rear mud guard). I've had better day...🤦🏻♂️
Hi Sam, I have ordered these for my NC750X, mainly because you were good enough to give them a proper review so thank you. Could we have a link for suitable LED spot/fog lights, I bought some givi ones but they are 1, expensive, 2, the switch is naff and 3, they are halogen and draw a lot of current and get hot.
No problem Ian! Hope you never have to test them out!! I have a few videos on the channel for the fog lights fitted to this bike. There was a back and forth on a few cheap Amazon fog lights which turned out to not be worth it. These ones are the LITTOU LED lights from Amazon. Link below. If you look for my video called "Cheap LED Auxiliary Fog Lights for Motorcycles | The Final Chapter! | Honda NC750X" - that shows you the install and a bit of an update at the end and issues I've had I had them on my Tracer and my partner has them on this NC - never had a problem with mine. I would advise getting yourself a better switch though and just wiring that into place as we did have one switch which decided it wasn't waterproof! Hope that helps! www.amazon.co.uk/Additionnels-antibrouillard-Protection-C%C3%A2blage-LITTOU/dp/B0714KKK32/ref=dp_prsubs_1?pd_rd_i=B0714KKK32&psc=1
I dont have an install video sorry! I filmed one at the time and the SD card corrupted! It pretty straight forward though. You'll have to take the Sump guard off but you'll see a mounting point at the front of the engine, and up the top by the seat. Then the other mount is around the frame in the middle!
Thanks for always fixing up my beast

@@SamVBikes Many Thanks for your reply and kind offer.
Glad your girl friend is ok, crash protection is worth it’s weight in gold
Couldn't agree more! Saved her legs no doubt and saved the wallet too! Thanks
Time for an upgrade on my Tiger I think!

@@SamVBikes yeah. These are also the cheapest ones without buying chinese stuff
Also think they are one of the better looking of the lot! Haha! Win win

Glad your girlfriend is okay, and the review that can help other I'd they ever get caught up in something!
Appreciate all of your support!
I suppose you never heard about Alberto Puig, former Moto GP rider and currently Team Manager Repsol Honda GP, and Red Bull Moto GP Academy.... 😁
Thinking of getting these or SW Motech. They look pretty similar, hard to figure out which is better.

How you get the bike etc back home ?
It was fully rideable thanks to the crash bars! There were only a few broken bits and scuffed panels
I think it's pronounced PWEEG.
I cant lie... I read that out loud and got a weird look from the other half when I pretty much shouted PWEEG 😂
@@SamVBikes ROFL! That's painted a picture that cheered me up this morning 🤣👍
Pronounce "pooch". It's a Catalan surname. Dude, do you have an install video? Bought these bad boys but came without install instructions

@@SamVBikes thanks for your reply and tips. Found the installation video tutorial on the Puig website. Now it's mounted! Cheers
Great! Hopefully you won't need to use them!
@@SamVBikes here's me hoping lol cheers
