You can also age the pot by rubbing soil from the garden and/or, if you have a fireplace, some ash. I really like the ash because it has different tones to it.
Yes! I have tried the soil technique on one of my videos I’ve linked it here ua-cam.com/video/xipN5aPptGo/v-deo.html now using ash sounds interesting I will have to try that 😊
This video is so great! You are so creative and clever! I just love how you presented your unique ideas, tips and tricks. Plus your videos are visually pleasing and easy to follow. I’ve been making diy videos for a while but I know there is still so much to learn. I love the idea of making dupes on a budget. I don’t think we have any pottery barns near me so it’s even better that I can make my own now. I’m happy to come across a talented creator like you. I’d really love to learn more from each other.
Hey, thank you so much for your lovely comment it really means a lot to me to hear such positive feedback on my videos I’ve just subscribed to your channel keep up the great work you’re smashing it :-) x
I’m so impressed with this vase redo! This is the best looking I’ve seen, and I find it’s easier to find glass vases at my local thrift stores. I didn’t realize it was so easy to get results like that with coffee! I subscribed.
Going to do a tall piece now. I think I'll try a variety of acrylic paint to achieve the "old" look. Are you planning to seal your piece? Why buy when look what we can achieve for only a few dollars! Plus, the satisfaction of being able to say that you created it yourself!
I loved the way you used coffee beans to get the aged effect. It's a simpler process than a lot of others I've watched. Think I'll really try this, but maybe on a smaller bowl for the first time. I use a lot of small containers for succulents. Thanks from NH in USA.
Wow it’s gorgeous your vase.💖💖💖 I have a question? Can I do this to my flour, sugar, tea, pancakes glass jar like what you did with your vase? Using plaster on the glass? Thank you I really wanted change it’s to the looks you just fished in your vase….please let me know! Thank you 💖🙋♀️💖
Sorry I thought I’d replied to you. Yes of course you can I would probably use a sealant around the top section though you don’t want any plaster bits falling inside ☺️
LOVE!! I'm currently working on something like this now! I have plastered it and was going to paint but i'm doing this coffee trick! Did you use instant coffee or ground?? :) Thanks!!!
Nice!! The easiest way to apply spackle is with your hands then stipple to give lots of texture..I'm just on 1st vase so maybe you end up using hands but this one is fab!!
Beautifully done😀🎉 Is it safe or necessary to seal with a m acrylic non glossy spray. I’m working on a tall floral shop vase I bought a few yrs ago at an estate never really did anything with it until I started viewing the channels on DIY aged vases ☺️ I love the neutral colors Ty
This is the first time watching your videos and I love the look… I never thought of using a brush to apply the plaster ( I’m definitely going to try that ) the texture is really beautiful! Thank you….. (have you ever used wet coffee grounds?) I’m a new subscriber🙌
Hey thank you so much for your kind comment, I actually tried using wet coffee grounds off camera and it didn’t come out too stone like it’s a great technique if your looking for more or a rustic look as to an aged stone look I’ll have to try it properly another time. Thank you for subscribing:-) x
Looks like a roasted marshmallow. It looks super vintage and I am definitely trying the coffee trick to my planter that I’m working on. (Very similar project)
I came upon your channel searching for something else. Lol. I'm glad I did though. I'm going to try the first vessel that you did. They came out really nice. You've gained a Subbie. You are very pretty and so is your accent.😊 I've been following you tubers for a while. Keep going and you will get your 1st 1000 before you know it.😊
Hi Tracy, thank you soo much for your really kind comment it really means a lot. I am working on a new project at the moment some of them can be quite time consuming but the results are great! Thank you for subscribing I hope you have a wonderful day x

Very nice, you can also add some cinnamon or any other colored powder..😊 You've got a new follower 👍, also because I love your accent ( I understand you better than other american channels that I follow) Thank you !
Looks fantastic. I think you can also dilute the coffee in hot water and lightly paint it on with a small brush to get the same effect. I will definitely give this a go. Thanks for posting
Thank you so much for subscribing, really means a lot 😊 It’s just a leaf tea you could even just use the tea from Inside a teabag if you can’t find this product, gives a really nice subtle stone effect I just wanted to get more of a raw stone effect. I would love to see what you do if your thinking of creating something like this if you have Instagram tag me in your post @luvena.interiors
nope ended up using it dry, I did attempt to use is as a liquid form but your more in control of where you want it to go, as it was dripping down the pot when I tried it that way 😁 hope this helps,,
It turned out perfect!! I have seen other people spray a clear sealer on the finished project to keep the plaster from chipping over time. 🙂
Thanks for that I think I will try this next time :-)
Obg por mencionar q era gesso, pois não sei inglês.

I know right it’s amazing what you can do. I didn’t seal this one and it’s fine I’m not sure what the finish would look like if a sealer was applied

Thank you for watching and subscribing to my channel, it’s called patching plaster you should also be able to use ready made plaster too ☺️
Nice
Love it! ❤️. Also, where did you get the branches you used to put inside the vase from?
Thank you ☺️ I just got them from Morrison flower section they are called Gypsophila. I don’t put them in water I just leave them to dry out x
It looks great.
What did you brush on at the end? Great lesson and thank you!
Thanks for watching, I just used the brush to brush off the excess 😊the effect is great deffo give it a try

Will your " pottery" hold up well outside under a covered porch?
I think so if it’s covered, I put some flowers in mine a few weeks ago and filled it with water and the water got on the pot and it was fine ☺️
Thanks
Love this!!
