So about 2 weeks ago, my daughter and I went to your store in Katy and purchased 4 16ft garage panels, rollers, drums, tool to wind tension spring, and the chords that goes on drum. It was on Saturday morning. Your worker that day helped me to load up my trailer, secure everything down, and demonstrated how to repair and replace everything and what to do with the tension spring. I replaced and repaired my garage system and felt quite accomplished after doing so. I also replaced the existing chain system to Chamberlain belt drive. My husband was shocked and is still telling all his friends that his wife fixed the garage! My daughter walks around singing the hit song, “She’s a bad mamma jamma!” Hey, thanks for instilling a level of confidence in me to do this and not hire this job out. I learned a ton of information and wanted to share this success story with you guys.
When I change my rollers especially the bottom set that has a load. I just remove the bottom section of track remove the bottom roller and replace then just put the bottom track section back on. Think it’s better then bending the track
You can remove all the rollers by simply removing the bracket/hinge. Bottom one requires locking the bottom one at full open, then remove opposite side.
You didn't say but I assume you pulled the disconnect cord from the automatic opener. I did this first time some years ago and I wouldn't have known to do that my first time senior lady diyer.
We recently moved and inherited some CHI garage door openers. We need additional remotes but I cannot find universal remotes that list compatibility with C.H.I. Any ideas where I could get compatible remotes?
CHI is the door manufacturers name. Look up in the motor or under the light lens for the name of your motor and you should be able to find a remote that will sync to it.
There are other methods sure. The bottom roller is the culprit though! If you remove the screws on that bottom plate you could get hurt. The vertical track is just a guide and isn't harmed if you bend it slightly and bend it back. I can change all the rollers in about 2 minutes using this technique- and most techs in the industry do the same!
If this is the dumbest thing you ever saw, it must be your first day with an internet connection. This is the way most people in the industry change rollers.

But how do i know which rollers i need to order??? They can't all be the same size for all manufacturers!!!

Good option. Still have to be careful to keep a leg against the door because once the track is removed, the panel will want to flip up on you!
