Does the linea alba actually tighten back to close the gap(over time) once your ta has strengthened or does the strengthening of the ta hide that the linea alba is in a stretched state?

The goal is to tighten and load the linea alba to enable it to regenerate. Connective tissue takes much longer to strengthen than muscles and it could take 1-2 years. When the TA contracts, it contracts away from the midline, resulting in tension in the linea alba, which then enables it to be loaded. Sometimes the gap closes, and sometimes it doesn't. Closing the gap is NOT the goal of healing DR, contrary to popular belief. You can have a flat belly and a wide gap or a narrow gap and a bulging belly, and anything in between.

Hi... Could you help out as to what to do if your upper ab is getting more gripped, while exhaling. In relaxed state also it is so... When i consciously loose it only it gets loosened

That's often because your stronger, more superficial (outer) oblique muscles are taking on the work of the inner, deeper core muscles. You need to make sure that you are activating your deeper core and then use them together with the obliques and recti muscles.

I have hard doming. Never been pregnant but have a small hernia near my belly button. I never has this until after covid pneumonia two years ago. Then in 3 months 68lbs and doming. What should I do? Who can I go to for help?

Hi. You need to learn how to manage intra-abdominal pressure. It seems like that was the cause of your hard doming and your hernia (coughing). Please watch this video on my channel: ua-cam.com/users/shortsRUqIBWL4y88?feature=share You would greatly benefit from my online course as it teaches you how to use your core safely and efficiently for any activity. You can see more information here: www.improvingcorefunction.com/the-program/. I'd also be happy to do a free assessment call with you if you wish. Happy to help.

What should be done to reduce doming

As you saw in the video, the woman was able to reduce the doming by activating her pelvic floor and her transversus abdominis muscle (TA) in addition to all her other abdominal muscles. Check that your pelvic floor muscles are lifting up rather than being pushed out as you do an exercise. Drawing your belly in towards your spine will ensure that the TA is turned on. These are your deep core muscles which should be activated in addition to your other abdominal muscles to reduce doming. See what's right for you. Perhaps the exercise you are currently doing is too challenging. But soft doming isn't always a problem. Good luck.

Totally agree. Although I had a mic, I was wearing a mask so it was distorted. That's why I added subtitles. Apologies.
