yes solar was just learning pole dance that time because some health problems, the drop was totally intentional tho, if your hear well the beat of the song, she fall on time
There is no third to fifth generation group that sings as well as Mamamoo. That's what made me like them, they deserved to dominate the world with the size of their talent.
The cuts were minimal and you didn't miss anything. The idols shown during the video were from IZ*ONE, Kim Chaewon's group at that time. They're also seen in the background fangirling during Wheein's solo. Solar had only been learning to pole dance for a few months and I think she came a long way in a short time, esp considering her schedule. MMM released and promoted two albums and did a concert tour during that time. Her pole dancing wasn't perfect or pro quality but it took balls to do it at all and had never been done at an award show previously. This was MMM's first appearance at a MAMA award show. Their performance was a mini-version of their 4 Seasons S/S concerts that year, which included solo stages by each of the members and as the overall theme they chose Red & Passion from their ongoing 4 Season 4 Color series of albums. Red stands for Passion in the 4S4C project and that's what they were trying to bring to the stage in their debut performance at MAMA. Hwasa's outfit was considered too sexy and was so controversial that RBW felt impelled to release a statement saying they didn't see a problem with what she wore and clarifying that Hwasa chose the outfit herself (the stylists were being blamed). Hwasa said nothing publicly but for MMM's next award show performance about a week later she wore black lingerie as though to say "If you thought the red outfit was too sexy then how do like this one?" That's our girl.
Solar's pole dancing was not controversial as she was not the first female idol or girl group to do a pole dance, the first girl group to do a pole dance routine was After School with their song First Love back in June 2013. Most of the controversy originally happened over Hwasa's revealing (by Korean standards) stage costume. Later it centered around the guest singer in Moonbyul's solo stage performance and her group IZ*ONE, which is why Moonbyul's solo stage was edited out from the original upload.
Wow, you claiming something when YOU'RE NOT EVEN A PROPER FAN. SHE WAS SLUT SHAMED cuz that's the first time an idol had the balls to do it IN AN AWARD SHOW WATCHED BY MILLIONS. And for you to simply brush it off as meh not controversial FOR A COUNTRY LIKE KOREA. THAT'S LOW.
I forgot to mention this in my previous comment. If you want to see Solar in a higher level of pole dance artistry watch the partner pole dance with her pole dance teacher they choreographed for Solar's beautiful self-composed solo song Hello, which was included on Mamamoo's Blue;S album (Solar's album in the 4 Season 4 Color project). Hello was the only solo song in the 4S4C project that didn't get an MV so moomoos consider the double pole dance vid as a substitute. Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/Ypevh3p0cs4/v-deo.html
The girls that they were showing a lot was Izone. It’s a temporary group from one of the Mnet produce survival shows. They’re like Kep1ars older sibling. You may know some of their members like wonyoung and yujin from IVE and sakura (an already established household name in Japan) and chaewon from lessersfim. The other members became soloists like lee chaeyeon ( cheryoung from itzys older sister), kwon eunbi and yena.
The original uncut version was taken down by MNET. MNET removed Moonbyul's stage performance and they only reuploaded the Solar, Wheein, Hwasa and group performance because of the Produce 41 rigged voting scandal and Chaewon (the featured guest on Selfish) was one of the contestants, although she, all of the other IZ*ONE members and other contestants were innocent. Solar had yet to record any solo songs in 2018 that's why she did a pole dancing performance. She did fail at the first attempt to jump on the pole, then she climbed on it instead. Her drop was intentional. Wheein was the first Mamamoo member to release a solo song with Easy. Red Velvet's Seulgi was the original guest on Moonbyul's song Selfish but she couldn't attend for the performance so Moonbyul invited IZ*ONE's Chaewon (who is now in LeSserafim) to be the guest singer, although Solar wanted to do it. Hwasa, being Hwasa performed her collab song Don't with Loco and she stole the show with her iconic red outfit. Mamamoo then came together and performed Egotistic and Starry Night.
Idol pole dance? ㅡ little information for international fans. Pole dancing was popular as a good exercise for muscle strengthening in S.K. it's not that understood as a sexual image like some other society.
The leopard was real but added in later. Not CGI. Edit to add: the uploader probably chopped the video to avoid a copyright strike from the TV station that owns the show. Korean TV stations are highly jealous of their content, but they took out Hwasa's scene first and then took out Moonbyul's scene later, so there wasn't a long time to capture the whole thing.
Scandal! I had no idea it was chopped down. We sure about that leopard though? Definitely looked faked to me, though possibly because I’ve never met a real leopard.
@@KPopOnLock Jaguar, sorry. I can't find it now, but the girls talked about shooting the video and said the jaguar was added later, but the fire was real, and very hot.

But Solar was the first who did pole dance on a LIVE show, and it was controversial, even if not as much as Hwasa's outfit.

The last video you checked is about their latest MYCON Concert. The last part is about their solo swaps, which is iconic
