Mamamoo were the first group to do killing voice. They are the reason for killing voice too. Solar wanted to perform in killing verse. They created killing voice, and let Mamamoo set the standard.
Mamamoo is the REASON there IS a "Killing Voice", they were the FIRST. And it's one of the reasons it's so short.
Before them it was The "Killing Verse" and featured ONLY Rappers.
Speciffically "The Killing Voice" exists because of Solar. SOLAR(w/Mamamoo) wanted to join 'Killing verse' but WASN'T accepted.
Then Dingo Music created 'Killing Voice' and called MAMAMOO. Their video currently has the most Killing Voice views... we need a second one.
There are two others who have more views now, though I personally wasn't impressed.
I've watched hundreds Mamamoo Killing Voice reactions so I have very high expectations on I Miss You. I've seen people jaw drop, scream, or just plain freeze, but never a leg cramp! Best reaction I've seen so far. Also check out Moonbyul's solo projects. Eclipse is one of my favorites. Not only can she rap, she can sing, and got some cool moves as well.

mamamoo is the first killing voice performers ever, and at first they posted the raw, have not been polished/mastered audio of this performance, it's still somewhere in the depth of internet, and they still sound really good
mamamoo as u can see are all dorks and all can sing even the rapper moonbyul. You will fall for them all.
Other fandoms insist that you MUST choose a bias. Moomoos understand entirely when you say "I just can't choose, I love them all so much".
Though she auditioned as a singer main rapper Moonbyul just rapped and sang harmonies with MMM from their debut in 2014 through 2017. In 2018 she started singing with the group and in her solo stuff and she's done more and more singing since then and has become another powerful weapon in their vocal arsenal. In 2022 she won a landslide victory on a tv show called The Second World where 8 really talented girl group rappers competed as singers. As a side note Moonbyul writes almost all of her own rap verses and has the most songwriting credits of any female idol, about 120, and as a group Mamamoo has the most songwriting credits of any girl group in kpop history, somewhere north of 200.
Leader Solar's voice affects me physically too but in my case she attacks my upper back with a vocal neurotoxin and when they do ballads Solar is the one who makes me cry. She just released a solo EP today called Colours with 6 songs in different musical colors and styles. You might want to check out the MV for the main single But I, but imo the standout track is the b-side Blues, the last song on the album. Solar wrote or co-wrote the lyrics & music for 5 of the 6 songs.
Not many groups can claim to match Mamamoo's combo of vocal talent, versatility, musical diversity, creativity, originality, charisma and bff team chemistry and few can resist their goofball personalities, their sense of humor and the joy they bring to live performances .

@@YaboyrockleeAM With Wheein, the 'w' is only touched very lightly, almost "hee-in", but "whee-in" is also acceptable.. With Hwasa, you likewise effectively lose the 'h', "wah-sah". Two syllables, _never_ three.

Mamamoo the only group that mostly sings live on stage. They don't have super complicated dance moves not because they can't dance, the reason is they choreographed their own dance during Mamamoo early years as idol. Everytime they performed live on stage they will do their very best especially for MooMoos, and everybody's satisfied with it. Mamamoo consists of 4 vocalists, 4 rappers, 4 dancers, 4 writers, 4 comedians, 4 women, 4 crackheads. The only this that Mamamoo sucks at is lipsync (well known fact by MooMoos). Trivia: Mamamoo is the first group (idol) featured for Killing Voice, these 4 women Solar, MoonByul, WheeIn & Hwasa stated it all...

There MVs are absolutely, amazing, but as you said, a lot of people can sound great recorded, but Live is another thing, and you are right, Mamamoo is better live! I got to see them on Tour in Atlanta, a year ago this month (May 20th, 2023), and they were Beyond Spectacular! So along with watching their MVs (because you definitely don't want to miss those), watch as many of their Live performances as you can! Even if you can't do reactions on them (because they are ones that get you blocked). They are worth it!
Oh, btw you said for us to look for your other reactions to them, so I did a search for Mamamoo in your videos section and all I get is this reaction, and your new one for Solar's "But I", so if you have other Mamamoo reactions, where are they? I'd love to see them, because I really enjoyed this one!

"Jo-ah"/좋아 is the informal way of saying "like". The verb is 좋다 and the 다 is taken away and using conjugation rules, an 아 is added, making 좋아. You could say "난 마마무의 음악을 좋아." (Romanised??: "Nan Mamamu-oe eumak-eul joha") which literally means "As for me, Mamamoo's music like" because Korean sentence structure is different, but you're basically just saying "I like Mamamoo's music."
Other ppl feel free me if I'm wrong, I'm learning Korean by self study and honestly I'm not too advanced but I'm pretty confident in this explanation.

Wheein is the one in between Hwasa and Solar. And as much as Mamamoo is so great because of the mixture of each member's vocal color, I consider Wheein to be the foundation of their sound. As Solar herself puts it, if Mamamoo was a hamburger, Wheein would be the patty, Hwasa would be the lettuce and tomato, while Solar and Moonbyul would be the buns.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but Hwasa (far right) was suffering from a cold during this time, which 1) just makes her voice more sultry and 2) is f'ing impressive that she can still belt it out like that being sick!

Hi Top Ten, I hope you can watch the documentary "Why mamamoo is most underated group in kpop by nahiseokie ..its made by fan and professional production. Tell u everything about mamamoo from debut, struggles, societal pressures in korea kpop, journey , discography..all have successful solo careers too. It amazing and bring u up to speed about mamamoo as released last year.

I feel like this isn't a good suggestion for someone who's new to kpop. It's good but if you don't know about the kpop industry it wouldn't have as much impact, it's better to check it later if he gets to like them more and know more about other groups

It also very organized and done very well to give u really good overall look at the group. Just my two thoughts. I feel its a better guide them other ones out there that are outdated as well.
