Living in rural farming country in Arkansas, we have mosquitoes pretty much year round. You definitely want to use a repellant of course, although I HATE the feeling of insect repellant on my skin. I am literally a mosquito magnet. My Mom was an organic gardener long before it was a real "thing" and she swore by alot of natural insect repellant in her flowers and vegetables. She learned "recipes" from a book by Jerry Baker...I think it was Jerry. Anyway, everytime we got a bite she had us put regular liquid handsoap on it and leave it on til it dried. It took the itch out, and also the fire out of fire ant bites.

🙋🏻♀️ Dr. Dray! I having been putting 15% azelaic acid on my mosquito bites since mine get large and swollen. I skip the OTC steroid creams cuz those never worked. Sometimes I have to put an ice pack on the swelling but always folllow up with azelaic acid when the swelling goes down. Azelaic has been the best for healing, anti-itching and anti-swelling for me with these nasty bites. I'm always the one the mosquitoes go to to recharge their life blood. I hate them!

If you do scratch it, use Isopropyl alcohol on the wound. It burns like heck for a few seconds, but it stops the itching. I learned that one as a kid growing in Louisiana. Plenty of mosquitos there too.
Another tip for Mosquitoes is wear a citrus perfume. Bugs hate anything Citrus.
Leave on my face to marinate! 😂 love that one!

Are use the cuticle clippers whenever I have a hangnail those do a better job than just regular nail clippers of getting the hang now they can get it right from the route and they’re smaller so it’s easier to get with it
I live in steamy S Florida and it’s skeeter season here too. Odd thing is they itch for a second then nothing. But ant bites are absolute torture so I thank you for the pimple patch solution. Oh-colored nail polish doesn’t survive long on my hands. 😂

The DermaHarmony Shampoo Bar (not their soap bar!) is wonderful. It has 2% ZnP, and it has a pH of 5.1. I mostly use this on my hair, but I've also used it head-to-toe in the shower.

Oh man I used that on my daughter’s cradle cap and eczema when she was a little baby and it worked great. I still have like half a bar, gonna save it now.
I use Larose posey, Cetaphil, cerave, or ucerine facial cleaners to clean my face and body! I save on soaps

I always bought my Hada Labo cleansing oil at a local Asian market, but one day they were out of it (it looks like they've since stopped carrying it), so I picked up the only other cleansing oil they stocked: the Kose one you just featured in your video! I ended up liking that more than the Hada Labo, because it somehow was a bit less oily/runny (for an oil cleanser) and rinsed better. I'm so glad to see that this product has the Dr Dray seal of approval!
One question about oil cleansers though: I have combination skin, with a very oily t-zone. I've stayed away from oil-based products for years, but since I use mineral sunscreen, oil cleansers have been the only products I can remove them with. I've recently developed a lot of little millia on my face, and I wonder if it's due to the different oils in these cleansers. Can anyone (Dr Dray? shed some light on this?

Speaking of oil I trimmed my mustache off and noticed the lines around my mouth seem to have decreased? I am glad but puzzled as to how haha All I can think of is the weekly liter of extra virgin olive oil over almost 2 years!

Some articles about bakuchiol say BP probably shouldn't be used at the same time. But it will always depend on the individual. Some derms will sometimes recommend waiting 15-30 minutes if using products that might cause irritation. Your derm could probably answer. The one derm who's a big bakuchiol fan and has several videos is the budget dermatologist. Chemist confessions (two cosmetic chemist/formulators) also have videos/blogs on bakuchiol.
Would zinc ointment have a similar effect on inflamed skin? (I realize they have very different uses/purpose.)

Hi dr.dray! Is it okay to store my tretinoin/tazarotene tube in the refrigerator? I’ve seen mixed comments from many people saying they store their tret in the fridge, and some people saying you can’t… what do you suggest is the best way to store your tretinoin/tazarotene? I live in a hot and humid area so if it’s okay to store it in the fridge, I will do so!
Check Dr Dray's video, skin care fridge: do you need? Any product should say how best to store. Most skincare products are formulated to be stored at room temp.

Drinking a nice juice is so good,although i admit i drink it a little too fast because if the taste happens to be in my "scales" i can't hold myself 😅 (guilty i know 😅!). Everyone needs to unwind and relax because each individual's stress levels are different and each and everyone happens to receive comments and other emotional and physical triggers differently so of course relaxation is needed 😊❤. Taking time for yourself is a logical thing to do because not only recharges you but also help you process things that made you so tired in the first place ❤. Pretty sure she has a video on copper peptides. She doesn’t use them and I don’t think she ended up recommending them. Abbey Yung them but I don’t hear any of the other derms using so I would say you don’t need copper peptides
