I think this was incredible footage given it’s from a flat slab that can fit in your front pocket. But yes, the noise in those “in cabin” shots weren’t nice on the eyes then yea, if you notice, before he clicks his fingers and the filter comes on at the beginning of the film, his skin is quite under saturated, then all of a sudden it’s got a pink hue to it. I think the time of day when filming mixed with whatever filter they where using, exposed a lot of undesired visual “oopies”
Nice review love the DBS Volante. Such a good looking car with a lovely sound. If i had the money would definitely have one. But spec it correctly inside and out. Shame no Android :)
You never told us what the sound was recorded on. Mediocre picture quality is forgiving but bad sound is not. I bet the sound was recorded separately and was not recorded on the iPhone. 🤷

I can't tell since it looks like you used some color grading on the footage. It would have been good it you just posted straight out of the camera footage. That said, its cool that you can shoot something like this on the iPhone 12 ProMax.
The colour grading is the most interesting bit because the phone can do 10bit colour depth which is perfect for grading without the image falling apart. Crazy what a phone can do these days.

This is one of few cars where everyone watching the video can picture themselves dressing up nicely, packing up a weekend bag, and going on a nice journey with the V12 singing and the top down.
Colours definitely off, particularly the reds, and the dynamic range as well, fair bit of detail lost in the shadows to my eye. But then the light is very harsh here in the uk at this time of year so challenging to film. Not professional quality but still quite amazing considering this is just a phone!
Great vid and a great presenter. Genuinely brilliant, Rory has the perfect balance between being informative and entertaining. It’s why I love Chris Harris’s vids. Just very watchable.

Car = Amazing! Review = Amazing! iPhone 12 = Very impressive - But appeared to struggle with sun drenched skin tones. It gets points for Great depth of field and predictive focus, noticeable when Rory looks back at the car during the intro and the focus adjusts to the car until he looks back at the camera. It excels with the colourful areas but there was some over saturation on (again)the skin tones when in shadow - A bit too much warmth In my (non professional) opinion.
It's almost evident that it was shot with iPhone 12/Pro/max. Key hint : Those lense reflections of headlight during dawn and dull sunlight scenes. The external glass cover is very reflective and unavoidable on a raw footage. Rest was perfectly alright! 👍🏻
The camera is why I'll keep rocking my XS Max - I almost never use the camera. It's pretty much for carspotting - I see something I don't recognize and snap it to look it up later. Ironic - I used to drive a BMW Z3 coupe (the "clownshoe") and hated when people did that to me.
As an italian: it's confusing It either means steering wheel, or "flying" as an adjective. What has "flying" to do with a convertible is anyone's guess....the roof flies off maybe? Loooong loong mental stretch even for an italian native. Superleggera is ok though (super light)..although very *Unoriginal* as it was already used by Lamborghini.

Great camera to whip out of your pocket in a bind. And I mean really great. But you are presented with a computer rendering of every shot you take and I wish Apple would just dial it down a bit or give us sliders to adjust some of the algorithms at work. Smooth areas look muddy and any piece of dust or detail is thrown right in your eyes, demanding your attention. Just a little dandruff on the rear headrest is a good example of this. Come on Apple. You’re nearly there. Put the “Pro” into your camera option. Not ‘pro-sumer’
This looks like a nice car. I think I would still prefer a Bentley Continental GT if I was in the market for a super expensive car. Plus I wish these automakers making these coupe/convertible type cars just ditch the back seat and give more trunk (aka boot) space!! cheers

Color tones look somewhat weird and fluctuating. (In some places Rory's face looks slightly dark red)
I think they were playing with that in post, as indicated by the change at 0:18. It was kind of annoying actually.
