So excited to be sharing with you my second diy custom ikea greenhouse cabinet.
I knew I wanted the milsbo wide simply because the space was perfect for it.
Even though I was feeling much more confident on this second build, I was still a bit intimidated as I really didn’t find much content on this cabinet’s customization.
Luckily it works almost identical to the milsbo tall.
What I forgot to mention in the video:
•the modern aqua kit is completely customizable. You can get 1 piece or even more that I didn’t get. It’s all about how you’d like your cabinet to look. They also offer consultations if you’re unsure and need to talk it out like I did.
•I kept referring to the adhesive as “crazy glue” when it’s actually “super glue”
•humidity in the cabinet immediately stabilized at 80% and I believe this is due to 2 things: 1-several of these plants are in pon and 2-it is against the wall without direct sun so temperature is also stable in the high 70s
•the foam weatherstrip I used was the exact amount needed for this cabinet (less than 5 inches to spare)
•remember for the fans you’ll need a usb cord extender

Did you have to purchase an extra piece from Ikea that has the hole for the cords to go through at the base? My cabinet doesn't have that feature.
I have the same fans in my cabinet and the little rubber feet ended up molding! Good call on taking them off :) I am not all the way thru your video but have you had experience with mold in your cabinet/how did you tackle it?
You don’t need those little magnets on the lights. They have a magnet inside them just stick the light up there. No extra hardware needed
Did you have to purchase the base with the hole in it for the cords to go through as an extra piece? I just got the tall version of this cabinet from Ikea and it doesn't have the hole at the base
No, she had her husband drill a hole and put a grommet. You can get a 2" metal hole saw that attaches to a drill, then a 2" plastic desk grommet to put in it.

You made a video, that makes it for people like me who are not that handy much easier to try and build this cabinet. I put it off and off over and over again. But you explain everything so clear, so calm that i will try and attempt it aswell. Thanks so much for this. I only have one question though. You used the magnets on the growinglights. But i see you used white strips as well. I am trouble shooting in my mind, that i can't see on the video where did you attach them to? or why did you use it for? Is it for safety as well that the lights won't fall down or keep something together. Can you help me with that? Otherwise, great great video, love it soooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww much!!!
