- Are women funny? That's like asking if people are funny. Being a stage performer, it's practically impossible to separate what you do from who you are doing it. One can shy away from this or embrace it. I'm Robby Hoffman, and I'm a comedian who just so happens to be a woman- let me tell you how I've embraced this.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
ironic that the niece of the chair man does stand-up comedy. She is soo funny!!
Her Uncle Ed is awesome! I agree with him. When I was a college student, I rode the bus daily, and it drove me mad to see young people stay seated on a crowded bus when older (and frail!) people or women with small children got on the bus and had to stand. What happened to caring for and helping others when you can?

It must not be very difficult to lead ted talks ( I’m looking for her other stand up because hers is some of the worst I’ve ever seen)
TED talks are not stand up, and her talk is not her stand up. Comedy’s a very subjective art, nobodies getting offended if you don’t like her work.

Well considering she is a comic - and in my opinion a good one - I'd find it concerning if she thought something else.

I stumbled across one of her stand-up videos the other day and found her to be so entertaining and hysterical. I love that I’ve now stumbled across this video of her and get to see and hear her share her story of how she became who she is at this moment in time. What an extremely talented human being!
